Zhang Pengpeng framed the characters Qi Sheng had personally taught her to write. She wanted to treasure them properly. Qi Sheng asked Zhang Pengpeng when she had started to love him. The couple sat down and poured out their hearts to each other. Zhang Pengpeng said that she could only give half of her heart to Qi Sheng, because she had to remain rational so she could be an empress with peace of mind.
However, Qi Sheng was unwilling; he wanted Zhang Pengpeng's whole heart, because he wanted not just an empress, but a wife who would treat him wholeheartedly. The next morning, Lv Li told Zhang Pengpeng that the Emperor was going to disband the imperial harem. Zhang Pengpeng rushed to find Qi Sheng. Qi Sheng said his actions were to show his true feelings for her.
Zhang Pengpeng told Qi Sheng that as long as he was the emperor for one day, he would be the master of her destiny, and their statuses would be unequal, unless Qi Sheng stopped being the emperor. Five years later, Crown Prince Qi Hao was playing "Radish Squat" with the little palace maids. He was very caring towards the injured little palace maid Qiao'er.
His gentle and considerate way of treating girls was exactly like Zhang Peng before he traveled through time. Zhang Pengpeng called Qi Hao into the room and reminded him that a man should be like Qi Sheng. Zhang Pengpeng checked Qi Hao's annotations on the memorials and found that he had done them quickly and well. A masked person entered the imperial palace late at night and took Zhang Pengpeng away.
Zhang Pengpeng was clearly awake but pretended not to know. She thought it was Yang Yan, but unexpectedly, it was Qi Sheng. Qi Sheng took Zhang Pengpeng to a beautiful small house. He told Zhang Pengpeng that he had spent a year building it. Zhang Pengpeng worried that he had forgotten her birthday.
But when Zhang Pengpeng woke up the next day, she discovered the surprise Qi Sheng had prepared for her, which deeply moved her. Time traveled back to modern times. Zhang Peng, with a ventilator, woke up in the hospital. He pulled off the medical equipment and emotionally started looking for Qi Sheng. When he went barefoot to inquire with a doctor, he discovered that the doctor was none other than Qi Sheng. Their eyes met, and as Qi Sheng gazed at Zhang Peng, he recalled Zhang Pengpeng's face and smile in his mind. (Ending Two)
