The Nine Prince invited Zhang Pengpeng to meet. Zhang Pengpeng made an excuse to Qi Sheng, saying she wanted to go to Fuyuan Temple to pray for a good marriage. Qi Sheng thought it over and was uneasy, suggesting he would take Zhang Pengpeng out of the palace himself. Fuyuan Temple was hidden deep in the mountains. Qi Sheng pulled Zhang Pengpeng up the mountain, and Zhang Pengpeng was so tired that she constantly complained.
Qi Sheng reminded Zhang Pengpeng that if she had any other intentions for coming to Fuyuan Temple besides praying for a good marriage, she should give them up early. Zhang Pengpeng explained with a guilty conscience. Qi Sheng frankly said that what he sought was the same as what the person beside him sought, and Zhang Pengpeng was touched upon hearing this. On the way to the temple, Qi Sheng hinted several times in his words, making Zhang Pengpeng feel that the situation was not right, believing that Qi Sheng might have noticed her meeting with the Nine Prince at Fuyuan Temple.
Just as Zhang Pengpeng was worrying, Yang Yan and Zhang Lingling appeared, chatting and laughing. Zhang Lingling first pretended to encounter Zhang Pengpeng by chance, then pretended to fall into the water, allowing Zhang Pengpeng, the Nine Prince, and Yang Yu to meet.
Yang Yu told Zhang Pengpeng that after the Emperor redresses the injustice in Yunxi, he would personally lead troops to conquer Beimo, stating that this was a good opportunity to overthrow Qi Sheng, and he hoped Zhang Pengpeng would firmly stand by his side. Qi Sheng asked Yang Yan why he was so close to the Nine Prince.
