Imperial Advisor had established a formidable encirclement outside, but inside the barrier, Ji Ruochen discerned a critical secret from a peculiar light. Facing imminent danger and determined to protect Zhang Yinyin, he swiftly guided her into the Shenzhou Energy Map, promising to explain more later. Within the tranquil Shenzhou Energy Map, Zhang Yinyin observed a magnificent Seven-Star Combination and experienced a spatial-temporal dislocation. Memories of her past with Ji Ruochen flooded back, overwhelming her with emotion.

She recalled their shared moments, including when he gave her a bracelet made of Demon Subduing Stones, designed to soothe her by reversing demonic energy, and their time in Tianxin Cave, lit by luminous fluorite stones. She was heartbroken, realizing she had repeatedly forgotten him, the person she cherished most. As Ji Ruochen returned to her side, they embraced, both weeping with joy and sorrow.

A voice then explained that her memory loss was a recurring curse, designed to make her forget everything about him, only for her to meet him again and forget anew. As they were brought back to reality, Ji Ruochen and Zhang Yinyin found themselves unable to recall the specifics of their time in the map. However, Ji Ruochen’s paramount concern was Zhang Yinyin’s well-being, determined to spare her from future headaches and the torment of forgotten memories.

He initially considered that maintaining distance from her might be the best solution to prevent her recurring pain, an idea strengthened by his observation of Ling's reliability and attentive care for Zhang Yinyin. Soon after, they found themselves trapped in a sealed tower by Imperial Advisor, absorbing poisonous air that threatened to kill them if they used their true spiritual power.

Ling, revealing his nature as a creation of his master from the Endless Sea, demonstrated his immunity to the poisonous air and proceeded to break the spiritual restriction, allowing them to escape. Meanwhile, Qing Yi and Bai Xiang found themselves bound by a divine chain. Gu Qing appeared, confronting Qing Yi about Ji Ruochen’s mission to destroy spiritual caves across the world.

Qing Yi, asserting her sole purpose was to rescue Ji Ruochen, claimed ignorance of any plan to destroy spiritual caves, firmly believing that neither Ji Ruochen nor Zhang Yinyin would commit evil. Gu Qing explained the severe consequences of destroying spiritual caves and the sinister nature of the Tianxuan Altar formation created by Imperial Advisor to protect them.

Qing Yi, along with her companion, cleverly convinced Gu Qing to release them, arguing they could persuade Ji Ruochen to abandon his path. Gu Qing, still hoping to deter Ji Ruochen, also revealed the location of the formation's weakest point, the "way out," located in a southern stone alley. After their escape, Qing Yi and her companions reunited with Ji Ruochen and Zhang Yinyin, providing them with bodhi leaves from the Endless Sea to counter the poisonous fog.

Ji Ruochen, still burdened by the thought of Zhang Yinyin's suffering caused by his presence, had a private conversation with Ling. He expressed his desire for Ling to protect Zhang Yinyin, acknowledging Ling's powerful abilities and trustworthiness, despite Ling's confession that, as a creation, he did not fully comprehend human emotions. Ling, however, affirmed his commitment to protect Zhang Yinyin, particularly because Qing Yi regarded her as a sister.

Ji Ruochen then outlined his plan to destroy the spiritual cave, instructing Ling and Zhang Yinyin to wait outside the formation's way out and distract Sun Guo while he accomplished his mission. As Ji Ruochen proceeded towards the spiritual cave, Gu Qing intercepted him, once again attempting to dissuade him. Their argument escalated, with Gu Qing accusing Ji Ruochen of abandoning their arranged marriage and prioritizing Zhang Yinyin, suggesting Zhang Yinyin had deliberately interfered and pretended to forget.

Ji Ruochen vehemently defended Zhang Yinyin, revealing that her memory loss and headaches were a consequence of her sacrifice, using her memories to obtain Nuwa’s tear to save him from becoming useless. He stressed that her persistence in remembering him, despite the excruciating pain, was a testament to her profound love. Recognizing Gu Qing's persistent efforts to obstruct him, Ji Ruochen reluctantly incapacitated her to prevent her from further endangering herself or his mission.

Ling then approached Ji Ruochen, reflecting on human emotions. He acknowledged that while Ji Ruochen was the source of Zhang Yinyin's happiness, he was also the cause of her headaches, but concluded that Ji Ruochen was the only one truly capable of protecting her, urging him to go to her as she was waiting. Ling then explained his own path was with the Endless Sea, bidding Ji Ruochen farewell.

Reassured by Ling's words, Ji Ruochen found Zhang Yinyin, who was still perplexed by Gu Qing's earlier remarks about their supposed marriage. Ji Ruochen dismissed Gu Qing’s words as nonsense and, holding Zhang Yinyin tightly, promised never to leave her again, affirming their shared path forward. Zhang Yinyin readily agreed to stay by his side, and together they set off to find the spiritual cave.

Ji Ruochen and Zhang Yinyin searched the fortress, ultimately locating the spiritual cave hidden by Sun Guo's magic at the bottom of the formation. As they prepared to destroy it, Yinfeng materialized, condemning Ji Ruochen for betraying his status as a banished god by siding with a villain like Sun Guo and using magic to conceal the formation's eye, not hesitating to sacrifice the entire village.

Ji Ruochen retorted that protecting the spiritual cave was paramount for the safety of the Three Realms, making the sacrifice of a small village insignificant in his eyes. Their confrontation quickly escalated into a fierce battle, with Ji Ruochen demonstrating superior power as he successfully destroyed the spiritual cave with fire. Outside, Ling and Qing Yi observed the destruction of the spiritual cave, confirming Ji Ruochen and Zhang Yinyin’s success.

Meanwhile, Imperial Advisor and Yinfeng were enraged by their defeat, lamenting how Ji Ruochen had outmaneuvered them despite their elaborate plans. Elsewhere, Xuanzhen and Senior Bingxian found themselves battling Yinfeng, who unleashed divine flame upon them, attempting to force them to surrender and help him capture Ji Ruochen.
