Wang Xiaomi's accidental slip about Chi Yu being a destiny writer piqued Lin Haoshu's curiosity, prompting him to demand the truth. Wang Xiaomi initially tried to brush it off as a comic book reference, but Lin Haoshu pressed her. She eventually confessed that she barely remembered what happened recently, but she was convinced Chi Yu was not an ordinary human.

She pointed out his unusual capabilities and mentioned her suspicion that Hua Yecheng might be his accomplice, suggesting they both possessed the ability to erase memories, which explained why she couldn't recall events despite having notes on her arm. Lin Haoshu remained skeptical about aliens but acknowledged the odd coincidences. As they recalled the bizarre occurrences, like Wen Suxi also experiencing memory loss and a magically returned equipment case, they grew more suspicious.

Convinced that Chi Yu and Hua Yecheng were superpowered individuals, Wang Xiaomi proposed a plan: she would follow Hua Yecheng, and Lin Haoshu would track Chi Yu to uncover their secrets. Lin Haoshu, though finding the idea silly, agreed. Wang Xiaomi then teased him, offering her help if he encountered difficulties, saying she'd prefer to "play with him" than go to school. Wen Suxi arranged a meeting with Chi Yu, expressing her desire to leave for a while to relax.

However, Chi Yu opposed it, stating, "The three disasters are not over yet. I can't let you go." Wen Suxi, annoyed by his possessiveness, asked why she should listen to him and sarcastically wondered if he would appear even if she vacationed abroad. She then pressed him for the truth about the night of the accident. Chi Yu lied, claiming he was with Hua Yecheng.

Wen Suxi didn't believe him and questioned how many things he had hidden from her, linking her memory loss to his secrets. She then accused him of hypocrisy, asking why he pretended to be with Duola if he was so worried about her safety. During this emotional confrontation, Wen Suxi suddenly pulled Chi Yu's forehead to touch hers. This action triggered a vision, showing her glimpses of Chi Yu's experiences with a woman named Ji Wan.

Overwhelmed by a sudden pang of heartache and tears streaming down her face, Wen Suxi pulled away from Chi Yu and ran, leaving him asking what she had seen. Later, she tearfully questioned herself, "What's wrong with me?" Hua Yecheng and Youwu met for tea, discussing Wen Suxi's ongoing "three disasters." Hua Yecheng remarked that Suxi had only endured two, wondering how they would tackle the third, especially since Chi Yu was now "almost a mundane being."

Youwu cryptically suggested that Hua Yecheng still had a role to play. Hua Yecheng then posed a philosophical question to Youwu: "in the mundane world, is there anything more precious than life?" Youwu responded with a question, implying Hua Yecheng might know the answer himself. Meanwhile, Wen Suxi, while visiting Youyou in the hospital, received a call from Mr. Ren and went to meet him.

Mr. Ren extended an offer for her to return to the company, bringing her projects and resources with her, even promising her old office. He explained the company's struggles since her departure, with projects stalled and staff needing support. However, Wen Suxi observed that while the outside world remained unchanged, the people inside had. She felt the environment had grown indifferent and reflected that things were no longer what they used to be.

Despite Mr. Ren's pleas, she firmly refused, stating, "If I accept this, Youyou will look down on me." She also assured him that Youyou was stable and didn't need his concern before departing. Following Wang Xiaomi's lead, Lin Haoshu tracked Chi Yu to Yiwu Hall. He attempted to enter, noting the "code sequence" on the door, but was stopped by a staff member who claimed no one was there and the shop was closed.

Despite Lin Haoshu's insistence that he had seen Chi Yu enter, the staff member dismissed him, leaving him frustrated outside. Inside, Chi Yu confronted Youwu about how to restore Youyou's time. Youwu reminded him of his "rules" and suggested he resolve Wen Suxi's "three disasters" first. Chi Yu then revealed that he had foreseen Wen Suxi's third disaster. Youwu, intrigued, asked Chi Yu if he wasn't curious why he possessed the ability to see such things.

When Chi Yu seemed puzzled, Youwu reiterated that the exchange depended on "what you trade in." Chi Yu pressed him on what could be "more precious than life," and Youwu described it as having the quality of "faithfulness," a rare trait in human life. Finally, Youwu, tired of beating around the bush, directed Chi Yu to seek out Hua Yecheng, who apparently held the answer, and provided Chi Yu with Hua Yecheng's location.

Following Youwu's instructions, Chi Yu arrived at a nursing home, where he found Hua Yecheng. Lin Haoshu, who had secretly followed Chi Yu, remained hidden nearby. Chi Yu questioned Hua Yecheng about his tasks there, which Hua Yecheng casually dismissed as "other duties" related to finding the Sun-Moon jade. When Chi Yu mentioned Youwu had revealed his location, Hua Yecheng seemed intrigued.

Chi Yu then explained that he had visited Youwu to inquire about Wen Suxi's third disaster, which he had already foreseen, and even Suxi herself had seen a vision of Ji Wan. Hua Yecheng speculated that Suxi's vision might have been due to the influence of Chi Yu's energy on his memories from 3,000 years ago. Returning to the matter of Youyou's time, Chi Yu again asked about what could be "more precious than life."

Hua Yecheng revealed the answer: "Love! The truest and faithful love one person has for another person." Chi Yu was puzzled, asking how he could "deliver someone's heart" to Youwu. Hua Yecheng explained that this specific quality of love was precisely why it was so precious, and Youwu, aware of the difficulty of Suxi's final disaster, intended to "make a fortune out of this chance."

Hua Yecheng then revealed that he had a plan to acquire this "truest love," implying it was not Chi Yu's. At this point, Hua Yecheng called out Lin Haoshu, who had been listening in the shadows. Lin Haoshu initially tried to leave, but Hua Yecheng stopped him, explaining that Lin Haoshu's unwavering love for Wen Suxi met Youwu's criteria and would benefit both of them. Lin Haoshu, confused, demanded to know who they truly were.

Hua Yecheng then used his powers to show Lin Haoshu everything that had transpired, revealing his and Chi Yu's identities and their mission to help Suxi overcome her three disasters. After processing this incredible revelation, Lin Haoshu, still stunned, asked what would happen to him. Hua Yecheng confirmed he would "completely forget your love for her." Lin Haoshu then requested to speak with Chi Yu alone before making his decision, asking, "Can you tell me your story with Ji Wan?"

Wen Suxi sought out Hua Yecheng, asking about Chi Yu's past relationships and specifically inquiring if he had a girlfriend. Hua Yecheng playfully confirmed that Chi Yu had indeed loved someone deeply, a woman named Ji Wan, and that it had left a profound impression on him. Wen Suxi revealed that she had seen Ji Wan in a dream, describing her as a girl in ancient dress.

Hua Yecheng confirmed that Ji Wan had been an actress who died of an incurable disease a long time ago. Wen Suxi then speculated that Chi Yu chose to become an actor because of his love for Ji Wan, a theory Hua Yecheng found plausible. Meanwhile, after Chi Yu shared his story with Lin Haoshu, Lin Haoshu was deeply moved. He asked Chi Yu if Ji Wan was his true love, and where that left Suxi.

Lin Haoshu grappled with the implications of forgetting his love for Suxi, realizing it would mean losing "the purpose of my life in the last 20 years." He questioned how he could exist as "Lin Haoshu. . . without loving Wen Suxi." Though Chi Yu offered to find "another way," Lin Haoshu, understanding Chi Yu's diminished powers, recognized this as "the only way." He asked if his sacrifice would truly help Wen Suxi.

Ultimately, finding solace in the idea that this act would allow him to "deeply participated in her life," Lin Haoshu decided to sacrifice his love for Wen Suxi, bringing closure to his unrequited feelings for her. Before he was to relinquish his memories, Lin Haoshu called Wang Xiaomi on his phone to meet.

He entrusted her with a stack of his drawings of Wen Suxi, explaining that he was moving and wanted to "say goodbye to the past" by giving her these items. Wang Xiaomi, seeing the numerous sketches, reacted with jealousy, accusing him of showing off his "unrequited love."

She initially questioned why he wouldn't just throw them away, but eventually agreed to keep them after he clarified his intention to start a new life and instructed her never to return the drawings to him. Lin Haoshu then took Wang Xiaomi to his new, old-fashioned apartment. She complained about the lack of an elevator and romanticized the space, offering to cook and clean for him, even jokingly suggesting she could be his "invisible maid."

However, she quickly sensed that something was amiss. She worried about him moving out alone and entrusting her with Suxi's belongings, saying, "It's like entrusting me to handle after-death matters. . . I fear that you're saying goodbye to the world." Lin Haoshu dismissed her fears, vaguely stating, "It is possible. Forget everything, and you'll be relieved."

Realizing the grim implications of his words, Wang Xiaomi pleaded with him not to do anything foolish and begged him to let her stay. Despite her desperate pleas, Lin Haoshu firmly sent her away, reassuring her he would be fine and would meet her later at a coffee shop. As she reluctantly left, he closed the door behind her, whispering Suxi's name, alone.
