Qiao Man clarified that she was not Nan Sheng, but the author. Their conversation was interrupted when a decorative craft vase from Li Ping Pavilion Studio, a gift from Lin Heping, suddenly exploded and injured a customer.
The injured man was furious, threatening to expose both the bar and the manufacturer. Meanwhile, at Li Ping Pavilion Studio, Mr. Yan convened a meeting to officially launch "The Beacon Series" and proposed including Qiao Man in the project. Han Sen immediately voiced his disagreement, stating Qiao Man was a writer and might not have the time. Lin Heping concurred, suggesting an audition-based approach to discover new talent instead.

At the hospital, after having her arm treated, Ah Li confessed her feelings to Lin Heping, claiming she had waited for him for ten years and that he had no other choice but to marry her now that Qiao Man was with Han Sen.
Lin Heping saw through her pretense, telling her to stop her tricks and reiterating his trust in Qiao Man's character before abruptly leaving. Ah Li was left devastated, lamenting that Lin Heping no longer trusted her because of Qiao Man.
