In a dreamlike sequence, Mu Tingzhou, dressed in a sharp suit, and Ming Wei, in a pristine white wedding gown, slowly walk towards each other, their gazes intertwining as their joyful wedding photos are taken. Suddenly, Mu Tingzhou awakens in a hospital. When his eyes meet Ming Wei's, they are filled with unfamiliarity and caution.

Ming Wei and Xiao Zhao are astonished to realize that the Best Actor, Mu Tingzhou, has recovered his original memories but has no recollection of being the Grand Tutor. Crestfallen, Ming Wei steps back, knowing this day might come but unprepared for its sudden arrival.

When Xu Lin and Mu Tingzhou's parents rush in to consult with the doctor, Ming Wei instinctively tries to follow, but Xu Lin blocks her path, stating that the doctor wishes to speak only with family members. The doctor informs them that Mu Tingzhou is physically fine and can be discharged, but his memory has reverted to the night of a dinner with Orlando last year.

He has forgotten everything since, including the entire filming of "The Grand Chief Cabinet Minister" and his time as the Grand Tutor. While Mu Tingzhou's recovery is a relief, Xiao Zhao understands this memory gap is devastating for Ming Wei. Despite Xu Lin's attempt to dismiss her, Xiao Zhao insists that Ming Wei, who had the most contact with Mu Tingzhou during his amnesia, is crucial for briefing him on the lost time to prevent further confusion.

Mu Tingzhou's mother agrees, and Xu Lin leaves with her. Xiao Zhao recounts the past several months to a bewildered Mu Tingzhou. He explains that after a car accident, Mu Tingzhou developed amnesia and believed he was the Grand Tutor, persistently pursuing Ming Wei, whom he mistook for the Princess.

Showing him videos of his past behavior, which Mu Tingzhou dismisses as part of a film, Xiao Zhao details how their relationship blossomed, leading to a gift of a jade hair clasp as a token of love. However, when Xu Lin returned claiming to be his childhood sweetheart, Ming Wei, feeling the relationship was too complicated, broke up with the Grand Tutor. Heartbroken, he secluded himself, carving wood day and night, and sent her a mysterious gift on Valentine's Day.

Touched, Ming Wei stayed by his side all night. Upon waking, the Grand Tutor discussed marriage, traveled to her hometown to propose, and publicly announced their relationship. Today was meant to be their wedding registration day. Xiao Zhao also shows him the third floor, which the Grand Tutor had turned into "the princess's domain," further proving the depth of his delusion.

Frustrated, Mu Tingzhou questions why Xiao Zhao didn't stop him from such "absurd" behavior, to which Xiao Zhao retorts that the Grand Tutor's stubbornness was identical to his own, making it impossible to reason with him. Later, Ming Wei confronts Mu Tingzhou directly, assuring him that she clearly distinguishes between him and the Grand Tutor and has no intention of clinging to him or his fame. Impressed by her decisiveness, Mu Tingzhou offers to compensate her.

Ming Wei requests only that he forget their shared past, as she claims she no longer remembers it. Feigning a dead phone, she borrows his and deletes him as a WeChat contact. When he asks what she did, she candidly admits to it. Auntie Zhao catches up with Ming Wei to console her, asserting that despite Mu Tingzhou's fame and the countless women he's met, his feelings for Ming Wei were unique.

Convinced their destiny is intertwined, she believes he will inevitably fall for Ming Wei again, as he and the Grand Tutor are fundamentally the same person. Back in his room, Mu Tingzhou scrolls through online photos and videos of himself with Ming Wei, finding it hard to believe he acted so "absurdly." He finds the wedding announcement he had posted as the Grand Tutor and, without hesitation, deletes it.

While a small action for him, it becomes the catalyst for widespread rumors surrounding the minor actress, Ming Wei. Mu Tingzhou's lawyer contacts him about a legal matter: the Grand Tutor, believing himself to be Mu Yun, had arranged to transfer all his substantial assets and properties to Ming Wei, a process requiring her confirmation. A stunned Mu Tingzhou calls her in.

Ming Wei vehemently refuses the gift, stating she had no knowledge of it and would not have accepted it even if he hadn't regained his memory. Mu Tingzhou is shocked to see his authentic signature and seal on the documents. As Ming Wei prepares to leave, Auntie Zhao presents her with items the Grand Tutor had purchased for her, including clothes and a zither.

Filled with emotion, Ming Wei explains that with the Grand Tutor gone, these things no longer hold meaning for her and leaves them behind. One day, Ming Wei receives a peony and a handwritten letter sent by the Grand Tutor, Mu Yun, before he "disappeared." In the letter, he calls their time together the most cherished of his life and promises to protect her always.

He hopes the peony will watch over her in his absence, urging her to prioritize her happiness. Reading his words, Ming Wei, who thought she was strong, breaks down in tears. Exhausted, she falls into a nightmare where a cold Mu Yun declares he is returning to his own world, stating they are "different types of people" and their paths must diverge. She wakes up sobbing as her sister, Ming Qiao, enters.

Soon after, Mu Tingzhou and Xu Lin are photographed together, sparking online gossip that Xu Lin is his rightful girlfriend and labeling Ming Wei a mistress. Chen Zhang arrives to cheer Ming Wei up. Meanwhile, having seen the news, Ming Qiao confronts Mu Tingzhou, demanding to know why Ming Wei is being slandered after selflessly helping him.

Xu Lin dismisses her, but Ming Qiao passionately retorts that they are responsible for the damage to Ming Wei's reputation, which resulted from his "brain problem," and that her sister's only mistake was falling in love with the Grand Tutor. Ming Wei laments to Chen Zhang about the constant online ridicule and intrusive reporters, thanking him for his unwavering support. He reassures her he will always be there for her.

Later, on a phone call, Chen Zhang confirms his suspicion that someone is deliberately manipulating the narrative to ensure that even a casual outing between Mu Tingzhou and Xu Lin is twisted to slander Ming Wei.
