Si Ya had initially believed her and Zhou You's plan would be ruined, but was surprised when the video ultimately appeared online, exposing Shi Quan and igniting widespread condemnation from netizens. Zhou You was initially proud, only to realize the video hadn't been uploaded by him.

He quickly went online, offering a substantial reward to find the user "SilenceLamb," whom he angrily described as a "scum who broke the rules" for submitting the video to Quan Jian Group and taking credit for Zhou You's efforts. Following clues from an online user, Zhou You tracked down Qin Huai, the owner of Kai Gua Le Cybersecurity Company.

Zhou You began sifting through Qin Huai's discarded trash to find information about him, making a sarcastic remark about Qin Huai's lack of basic security, only to find Qin Huai standing right behind him. Qin Huai invited Zhou You into his small office, where Zhou You confidently revealed intimate details of Qin Huai's life, including his age, university, career choices, hobbies, and even his single status. Qin Huai, however, dismissed Zhou You’s findings, stating he charged by the hour.

Zhou You accused Qin Huai of stealing his camera and videos, and taking credit for his work. Qin Huai countered that he was merely waiting for Zhou You to thank him for revealing the videos to Shi Quan's company. Enraged, Zhou You challenged Qin Huai to a duel in which if Zhou You won, Qin Huai would have to publicly admit he was a loser and hand over the "SilenceLamb" ID.

If Zhou You lost, he would work for Qin Huai for free for a year. Qin Huai accepted, setting the first challenge: Zhou You had ten minutes to discover "who he was." During the challenge, Qin Huai revealed that he already knew Zhou You's various online aliases—"Ghost Fire Dancer," "Bubble Gum Evil," and "Ms. Cleaner"—as well as his real name.

Qin Huai exposed Zhou You's past: a self-taught computer genius who was expelled from school for hacking the system, tampering with his grades, and maliciously editing a teacher's photo. Zhou You’s parents had tearfully pleaded with the principal, but Zhou You, defiant, maintained he was not at fault. He ran away from home at 16 and had been wandering for two years.

His parents, still hoping to hear from him, received a silent phone call one evening, sensing it was their son, but he hung up before they could speak. Having comprehensively revealed Zhou You's identity, Qin Huai won the first round of their three-game bet. Meanwhile, at Quan Jian Group, an internal announcement stated that due to Shi Quan's misconduct, the board had demoted him to a branch office.

Lin Shuo, a lawyer from Everlasting Justice, felt Shi Quan deserved to be fired. A colleague explained to Lin Shuo that Shi Quan, a 20-year veteran of the company, knew too many secrets. Firing him outright risked him exposing damaging information and jeopardizing the company's upcoming IPO. Lin Shuo’s boyfriend, Mr. Shen, later reinforced this view, suggesting that if the IPO failed due to Shi Quan, hundreds of innocent employees would suffer layoffs.

He told Lin Shuo that the victims had "won the battle" and their reputations would be reinstated, advising her not to be emotional. Unbeknownst to Lin Shuo, her boyfriend (Mr. Shen) was secretly colluding with Shi Quan, who praised Mr. Shen for turning the public opinion around within days. Mr. Shen explained his strategy was "slut shaming," illustrating how public perception could be manipulated to label a woman a "slut" without investigation, effectively undermining any "miracles."

Shi Quan then asked Mr. Shen for help with his wife, whose discontent was threatening the company's listing. Si Ya, having become the target of online discussions and attacks, decided to leave the bustling city and return to her hometown. She confided in Zhou You that although she initially tried to clarify the truth, she realized netizens cared more about "the fun" than "the truth." To her, the online storm was consuming her life, and she longed for peace.

Zhou You, though frustrated, respected her decision. Driven by a desire to help Si Ya, Zhou You set up a competing network service studio directly below Qin Huai's, aggressively offering free services and poaching his clients. Qin Huai, initially dismissive, grew frustrated by the competition. When Lin Shuo visited Qin Huai's office seeking information on "Ghost Fire Dancer," Qin Huai feigned ignorance, despite Lin Shuo stating she knew he was at the scene of Shi Quan's video.

Lin Shuo, a PhD in Internet Law and Personal Information Security, warned Qin Huai she would sue him if she found any flaws in his information protection. Qin Huai, still refusing to betray his "friend," playfully offered to investigate Lin Shuo’s boyfriend instead. As Lin Shuo left, Zhou You tried to solicit her business, but Qin Huai mocked him, hinting that Lin Shuo had still chosen his services.

After witnessing continued online attacks against Si Ya, Zhou You sought advice from "Grey Heron" online on how to make netizens face the truth. Grey Heron suggested a drastic measure: identifying those who wrongly accused Si Ya, hacking their accounts, and publishing letters of apology in their names to clear her reputation. Though initially hesitant about "black accounts," Zhou You ultimately agreed, convinced that those who deliberately slandered his friend deserved such a response.
