Lin Tuo didn't go to work for several days. He sent a message to Wei Haiyang explaining the situation. The elevator was broken and under repair, so Lin Tuo took the stairs. Suddenly, his legs gave out and he rolled down the stairs. He struggled to call Chen Guangpu, who took him to the hospital. It was only then that he learned Lin Tuo had been diagnosed with ALS several months prior.

Chen Guangpu consulted with the attending doctor and learned that ALS is an incurable disease. He complained that Lin Tuo shouldn't have hidden it from him and also prepared a wheelchair for Lin Tuo. Xu Lilian brought lots of food to see Lin Ye. Lin Ye was already asleep. She sat by the bed for a while and then left.

His parents were confused; they had always done small food wholesale, and their business was booming.
