Lin Tuo was diagnosed with ALS. He was unwilling to surrender to the disease, wanting to prove that his right hand was not disabled, so he filled a table with bottles of mineral water. He used all his strength but could only manage to open a few bottles. In a fit of pique, Lin Tuo knocked all the water onto the floor. He sat on the ground in despair, staring blankly.

An Zhique came to see Lin Tuo early in the morning and was stunned by the sight before her. Lin Tuo kept saying that he had fought monsters all night and finally defeated them. An Zhique hugged Lin Tuo tightly and expressed her warm concern for him. Lin Tuo used tiredness as an excuse to go back to his room to rest. His father, Lin Shouzheng, immediately became furious and vented all his anger on Lin Tuo, giving him a hard slap.

Lin Tuo vented all the grievances and dissatisfaction that had accumulated in his heart for many years, blaming Lin Shouzheng for being too overbearing and imposing his own wishes on him and Lin Ye. Lin Tuo did not want Lin Ye to follow in his footsteps and wanted Lin Ye to live according to his own wishes.
