A Forbidden Marriage Episode 24 (Ending) Recap
> A Forbidden Marriage Recap
Yang Qing discovered a mark on his master Feng Xingyun, confirming Feng Xingyun's collusion with Biluo Valley, which deeply saddened him. Feng Xingyun, ashamed, merely admonished Yang Qing for his association with Wangyue, whom he called a "witch," before leaving. Yang Qing then pointed out that the mark, which Lu Jin's Six Harmonies Divine Art leaves on its victims, was fading on Feng Xingyun's hand, suggesting an anomaly, unlike the usual progression to a painful death.
Feng Xingyun dismissed Yang Qing's concerns as "nonsense" and locked him away for "reflection." Meanwhile, Yuan Yingxing sought out Wangyue, pleading with her to provide both the Sun Blade and Moon Blade to save Yao Fu. Wangyue was highly suspicious of Yao Fu's intentions, recalling Yao Fu's past deceptions and attempts to sow discord. She questioned Yuan Yingxing's trust in Yao Fu over her.
Yuan Yingxing, however, insisted that Yao Fu was genuinely ill and had confessed the truth after taking Lingyin's Compliance Pill, revealing her past actions, including staying with him and marrying Yang Qing, were all to gather the blades. Wangyue debated if Yao Fu, who had killed her once and deceived Yuan Yingxing numerous times, was worth such a sacrifice.
Despite Wangyue's protests, Yuan Yingxing expressed that he could not bear to lose Yao Fu, stating that while Shengyue Sect could be rebuilt, he did not know what he would become without her. Touched by his profound love, Wangyue reluctantly agreed and handed over both the Sun Blade, the Alliance Leader's Token, and the Moon Blade, the Shengyue Token. Yuan Yingxing then presented both the Sun Blade and Moon Blade to Yao Fu.
Overwhelmed, Yao Fu was moved but struggled to explain her past actions. Later, as Yuan Yingxing was bathing, Yao Fu approached, wanting to care for him. Yuan Yingxing initially believed she was still after the Moon Blade and did not truly love him, but Yao Fu confessed her deep affection, explaining that various circumstances had prevented her from expressing it sooner.
She expressed a desire to spend her remaining days well with him, and Yuan Yingxing, in turn, accepted her offer, insisting that for the next few days, they must be together at all times. Lu Xuanxuan visited Yang Qing, who was imprisoned. She tried to persuade him to marry her, promising his release, but Yang Qing firmly declared his lifelong devotion to Wangyue, his only wife.
Heartbroken, Lu Xuanxuan revealed Biluo Valley's imminent plan to lead the martial world in besieging Shengyue Sect and vowed to bring Wangyue's head to him. Elder Wang bravely rescued Yang Qing, urging him to stop the impending bloodshed. He revealed that Yunmen's founder had once countered the Six Harmonies Divine Art using the Sun and Moon Blades. As they attempted to escape, Lu Jin intercepted them. Overmatched, they were suddenly aided by Feng Xingyun, who unexpectedly appeared, rescuing Yang Qing.
Feng Xingyun, gravely injured by Lu Jin's Six Harmonies Palm, handed Yang Qing a scroll containing the method to counter the Six Harmonies Divine Art. He revealed that his apparent defection to Lu Jin was a pretense to discover Lu Jin's weaknesses. Both Feng Xingyun and Elder Wang ultimately died at Lu Jin's hands. Lu Jin, having gathered leaders from various sects, falsely announced that Yang Qing had betrayed Yunmen and murdered both Feng Xingyun and Elder Wang.
Many, particularly Yunmen disciples, expressed disbelief. Lu Jin, using his authority, silenced their protests and declared that Biluo Valley would lead the martial world to eliminate Shengyue Sect, asserting that only then could peace be restored. Lu Jin then led the combined forces of various sects to Shengyue Sect. Yang Qing and Yuan Yingxing, alongside their disciples, prepared for battle. Lu Jin, using fire to spread chaos, was confronted by Murong Xuan.
Murong Xuan exposed Lu Jin's secret cultivation of the evil Six Harmonies Divine Art, revealing that it causes black veins to appear on the practitioner's body. He challenged Lu Jin to remove his clothes and prove his innocence to the assembled sects. Lu Jin refused, citing his status as acting Alliance Leader, and attacked Murong Xuan, severely injuring him.
When Lu Jin tried to intimidate the other sects with his position, many refused to submit, leading to skirmishes within his own ranks. The battle raged, with Yang Qing engaging Lu Jin directly, joined by the masters of three other sects. Recognizing that only the Sun and Moon Blades could defeat Lu Jin's formidable martial art, everyone urged Yuan Yingxing to retrieve them.
However, Yuan Yingxing, knowing Yao Fu's life depended on the blades, chose to fight without them to protect her. Before leaving Yao Fu, he made her pinky swear that she would never forget him, no matter where she went. Upon learning of Yuan Yingxing's selfless act, Wangyue rushed to Yao Fu's side and explained the dire situation. Realizing the gravity of the crisis and Yuan Yingxing's sacrifice, Yao Fu immediately returned the Sun and Moon Blades to Wangyue.
With the blades in hand, Yang Qing swiftly defeated and killed Lu Jin, averting a catastrophic war that threatened the entire martial world. Yang Qing was then declared the Alliance Leader and formally announced an era of peace and reconciliation between Yunmen and Shengyue Sect. After the dust settled, Wangyue discovered a letter from Yuan Yingxing, stating he was too tired and had decided to leave Shengyue Sect to wander the world.
Initially angered by his departure, Wangyue was then comforted by Lingyin, who also announced her and Mingyang's intention to leave Shengyue Sect and travel the world together. Wangyue playfully announced her plans to marry Yang Qing, reversing their previous wedding, and declared that the grand celebration would be held at Shengyue Sect, with all Yunmen members invited.
Yang Qing and Wangyue's wedding was a grand affair held in the main hall of Shengyue Sect, attended by important figures from various sects. Unlike previous unions, this ceremony was filled with genuine blessings for the truly beloved couple. Yang Qing reflected on how he had fulfilled Wangyue's dream of a magnificent wedding. During the wedding festivities, Wangyue discovered an old novel she had written, detailing her and Yang Qing's romantic adventures, including having three children. While some jokingly pointed out the fictional nature of the more ambitious parts, Wangyue was overjoyed, feeling that her dream of marrying Yang Qing had finally come true.
