> Wrong Carriage Right Groom Recap

Princess Chang Ping came alone to a pavilion to inquire about the way to the mountaintop. Unbeknownst to her, the person in the pavilion was actually Shu Dama, disguised as a Taoist monk. Shu Dama intentionally mentioned that only those with a special fate could see auspicious signs and determined that although Princess Chang Ping had the appearance of a noblewoman, there was a hint of misfortune in her destiny. Shu Dama further assessed that Princess Chang Ping's husband star clashed with her, causing problems in her marriage. Worried by this revelation, Princess Chang Ping sought help to avoid this ill-fated husband star.

Shu Dama then divined again and assured Princess Chang Ping that she had come to Ling Mountain on the right day. She would meet her future husband in front of the Bixia Temple.

Princess Chang Ping, trusting the Taoist's words, proceeded to the Bixia Temple with Zhang Gonggong and others. On the way, she decided to stretch her legs and walked to the temple alone. Sha Pingwei, due to Liu Ruoqian's words the previous day, had also come to the Bixia Temple alone, searching for the person he believed was destined for him. Princess Chang Ping arrived at the temple and coincidentally saw Sha Pingwei lingering there. Seeing him in a purple robe, she became even more convinced that he was her destined husband.

In an effort to strike up a conversation with Sha Pingwei, Princess Chang Ping intentionally dropped her sachet in front of him. Sha Pingwei picked it up and returned it to her. They began talking and realized that they were both guided by higher powers to this place in search of their destined partners. Both were a bit shy, but to alleviate the awkwardness, Princess Chang Ping suggested that they explore Ling Mountain together and enjoy the scenery. Sha Pingwei gladly agreed.

As Princess Chang Ping and Sha Pingwei explored together, she admired his brave and righteous personality, and her affection for him grew. Yuan Buqu received an urgent message about trouble at the border and left to deal with it.

Princess Chang Ping inquired about Sha Pingwei's true identity and learned that he was a captain in Yuan Buqu's army. She was surprised, and in her excitement, her handkerchief was blown away by the wind. Sha Pingwei, after picking up the handkerchief, caught up to her, only to discover that she had been kidnapped by unknown assailants.

When Sha Pingwei returned and found Princess Chang Ping's earring on the ground, he suspected that she had been abducted. He immediately followed the mountain trail to search for her.

Zhang Gonggong, waiting for the princess's return, grew worried as she didn't come back. He feared for her safety and sent people to look for her. Liu Ruoqian, sensing something amiss, inquired and learned that Zhang Gonggong and the princess had punished a corrupt official on their way to Jingzhou. Liu Ruoqian suspected that the official had returned for revenge and rushed down the mountain to seek Yuan Buqu's help in finding the missing princess. However, he was informed that Yuan Buqu had already left for the border due to renewed conflict.

Sha Pingwei successfully tracked down Princess Chang Ping but fell into a trap set by the corrupt county magistrate. The county magistrate, seeking revenge against Princess Chang Ping, had captured them and intended to bury them alive. Sha Pingwei, after hearing from the county magistrate that Chang Ping was the princess visiting Jingzhou, became determined to protect her.

Liu Ruoqian and his wife followed the markings left by Sha Pingwei and successfully rescued him and Princess Chang Ping. They apprehended the corrupt county magistrate and planned to deliver him to the Emperor for punishment. Upon returning to the palace, Princess Chang Ping hurried to check on Sha Pingwei's injuries. Zhang Gonggong thanked Sha Pingwei for risking his life to save the princess. Princess Chang Ping confirmed that Sha Pingwei was her intended husband and decided to bring him back to the capital for treatment, openly expressing her affection for him in front of everyone.

Sha Pingwei admitted his feelings for Princess Chang Ping as well, expressing gratitude for meeting a princess of such high status on Ling Mountain. Princess Chang Ping mentioned that meeting Sha Pingwei had shown her what a real man was like. In times of danger, he was willing to go through fire and water for her, even at the cost of his own life, something that no riches or honor could buy. Sha Pingwei, however, explained that Princess Chang Ping had already been promised to his elder brother, Yuan Buqu, and requested the Queen's assistance in retracting the engagement. With renewed conflicts at the border, Sha Pingwei, as a captain, had a duty to return to his camp immediately. He promised to return to the capital after the conflict was resolved. Princess Chang Ping agreed to his request.
