As Lu Jia woke up, Xu Jiaxiu asked if she had been waiting for him. Lu Jia confirmed it, noticing he had been drinking. Xu Jiaxiu explained that Sixinte's people had traveled a long way, so he had to entertain them, though he felt outnumbered and had to give in.
He then expressed how lucky he felt to have her waiting for him. He shared that the day's negotiation went well, with Sixinte offering generous and sincere terms. He planned a trip for them after this busy period was over, asking Lu Jia where she would like to go. She replied that she would go anywhere with him.
Seeing how tired he was, Lu Jia offered to get a towel for him to wipe his face, but he fell asleep on the sofa, leaning on her. She gently rested her head on his shoulder. Following Voya's successful assessment by Sixinte, Xu Jiaxiu and Song Juanxi officially signed the contract. At the celebratory dinner, Xu Jiaxiu thanked Song Juanxi and everyone present for their hard work and raised a toast to them.

She urged Zhu Yali not to jump to conclusions and that her personal life was none of an "outsider's" business. Zhu Yali, feeling that her good intentions were misunderstood, angrily left. Lu Jia repeatedly watched the news, thinking Xu Jiaxiu looked even better in person than on screen. The next morning, Xu Jiaxiu drove Lu Jia to work. Lu Jia brought her CPA study notes for Xiaoda. Comparing it to Song Juanxi’s signature on the contract document, Xu Jiaxiu realized they were identical. Xu Jiaxiu, despite his inner turmoil, proceeded with the signing, exchanging words of mutual admiration with Chen Han, who praised Pickup and predicted Voya's bright future. Meanwhile, Shao Yifeng visited Janice for snacks. He highlighted their ability to cultivate community celebrities and push engaging content, making users more likely to keep the app. He concluded that while he emotionally favored Pickup, if forced to choose, he would pick Crisscross. His words made Lu Jia recall Zhu Yali's earlier insinuation about Song Juanxi's partiality, and she sank into deep thought.
Troubled, Lu Jia secretly arranged to meet Song Juanxi, telling Xu Jiaxiu she was meeting a friend at Dongzhou Square. At a noodle restaurant, she went straight to the point, asking if his decision to choose Pickup for Sixinte's investment was truly objective or influenced by her.
Song Juanxi admitted that while Pickup's strength was evident and he considered both the project and the team, he also had a selfish bias in favor of Pickup at the last minute because he wanted Voya to be better, for her. He confessed that he had always wanted to care for and help her, and couldn't give up this opportunity. Lu Jia expressed her discomfort, stating she didn't want to win in such a way.
Song Juanxi apologized for any past unpleasantness caused by Mr. Yamamoto. Lu Jia, however, expressed gratitude to Mr. Yamamoto, as his actions led her to reconnect with Xu Jiaxiu. Just then, a heavy rain began, and Xu Jiaxiu, concerned for Lu Jia, left the office to find her.
