> Wait, My Youth Recap

Three years of intense study have come to an end, and the college entrance examination, which will determine their destinies, is about to begin. As they prepared to enter the examination hall, Su Cancan reminded Lan Tianye not to write the topic essay as a prompted essay, and to review the key points of classical poetry a few more times, fearing he would make mistakes due to carelessness. Lan Tianye bluntly told her that she was too wordy.

After coming out of the examination hall, the five of them discussed the exam topics. Because Cancan's third mock exam didn't go well, when Lin Jiaze and Tao Yating started talking about the math questions, the considerate Tianye skillfully changed the subject. He was afraid Cancan would overthink it, and everyone suddenly understood.

Cancan was about to give the love letter she had written to Lin Jiaze when she happened to see Tao Yating complaining to Lin Jiaze that she didn't know how to deal with the love letters she had received. Tao Yating then asked Lin Jiaze what he would do if he received a love letter. Lin Jiaze said he would proactively confess to a girl he liked. Just then, Tao Yating saw Cancan hiding nearby.

Cancan had no choice but to walk over with the love letter. Lin Jiaze asked Cancan if it was written to him. Cancan nervously denied it and left after borrowing a book from Lin Jiaze. Lin Jiaze was a little disappointed that he didn't get the answer he expected. Tao Yating saw through Lin Jiaze's thoughts and teased him, saying that it's always easier said than done.

Lin Jiaze also had feelings for Cancan, but neither of them had taken the initiative. It was the last class. Teacher Huang announced the end of their high school life, but he was interrupted by the boy in front of Cancan. He confessed to his deskmate in front of the teacher, and the classmates cheered, chanting "Be together!"

Cancan nervously went to find Lin Jiaze, thinking that if she didn't confess to him this time, she definitely wouldn't have another chance. So, she tucked the love letter into the book Lin Jiaze had lent her and returned it to him. Lin Jiaze took the book without much thought and put it in his backpack. Cancan, lacking confidence in her grades, had been staying depressed at home.

Her father, seeing her idle, asked her to take some unsold cassette tapes to dispose of on the street. As soon as Cancan left, her neighbor delivered her university admission letter; she had been accepted by Beijing Luwen University. Unfortunately, Cancan didn't know about this great news. She was still feeling secretly sad on the street. Tianye then came to her stall. He had just come from Su father's shop and learned the reason for Cancan's gloom.

To cheer Cancan up, Tianye borrowed a guitar from a street performer and played a song for her, and also bought her ice cream. Finally, he pulled out Cancan's admission letter, making her excitement escalate once again. Cancan jumped with joy, hugging Tianye, and in return, she happily gave him a cassette tape. Lin Jiaze's mother was at home organizing his belongings for university and told him to take good care of Tianye.

When asked what other books he wanted to take, Jiaze said he would only take the book Cancan had returned to him. Cancan returned home, and her mother was thrilled holding her admission letter. It turned out she had thought Su father was lying when he said Cancan got into Luwen University, and now she could finally put her mind at ease. Afterwards, Cancan's mother mentioned that Tao Yating hadn't done well on her exam.

Cancan went to comfort her, saying that a good second-tier university was also a good choice. Just then, Lin Jiaze called to remind them not to forget their pre-arranged meeting at the broadcasting station. Cancan asked Yating if she often talked to Lin Jiaze on the phone. Yating, however, told her meaningfully that she should be brave enough to pursue what she wanted.

At the broadcasting station, the five of them happily drank beer to celebrate the end of the college entrance examination. They each recorded a DV, placed their commemorative trinkets into a box, buried it under a tree, and agreed to reunite in ten years to open it. While taking the bus home that evening, Cancan realized she was on the same bus route as Lin Jiaze. Lin Jiaze told Cancan to call him Aze from then on.

Cancan mustered up the courage to ask Lin Jiaze if he had read the book she returned to him. Lin Jiaze was about to answer, but they had already reached his stop. In fact, Lin Jiaze had already read the love letter Cancan gave him. Watching the bus carrying Cancan drive away, he shouted loudly to her, "See you in Beijing!"
