After falling down the stairs, Qin Yiyue was rushed to the hospital by He Qiaoyan. She suffered a ligament strain but no fractures. Surprisingly, Zhou Ziyang was the attending physician. He Qiaoyan demanded a replacement, but Dr. Qin said to trust a doctor’s professionalism, so he waited outside. Upon hearing she would need a crutch, he stormed in and carried her out in his arms.
Later, Sheng Huai’s mother maliciously posted accusations against Qin Yiyue on social media, attracting many bloggers and reporters to the hospital. He Qiaoyan had already called in a PR team. While the media swarmed the hospital, Ning Fang managed to pick up Qin Yiyue and take her away. At home, everyone watched the news. Qingqing continued to slander her, but He Qiaoyan would not let it slide.
He canceled a meeting with an American team to handle the issue and even involved the legal department to sue. He Qiaoyan sued Qingqing. She and Zhou Ziyang came to talk, but He Qiaoyan stood his ground. He said that even if his wife Qin Yiyue chose to forgive the past, it didn’t mean he would allow others to bully her. He went to her home to pick her up.
After some playful arguing, Qin Yiyue agreed to return — on the condition that her salary be multiplied by five. At the car door, she made him carry her inside. Back home, she told him she would work part-time at Ning Fang’s studio. As for the agreement, it would depend on his performance — and even insisted he push her back to her room himself. The next morning, Qin Yiyue couldn’t reach a piece of clothing and accidentally spilled water.
He Qiaoyan rushed to help, and though she said it wasn’t necessary, he helped anyway. When handing over the clothes, he tripped and accidentally touched her leg. Wen Gu unexpectedly fired his four favorite female employees, shocking Ruowei. That evening, He Qiaoyan had just arranged a dinner meeting with President Lin, but Qin Yiyue texted to go grocery shopping together. When he assigned the task to someone else, she reminded him it was a family activity.
So, he canceled the dinner and went himself. At the supermarket, He Qiaoyan pushed Qin Yiyue, who pushed Xiaobao. They bought a bunch of snacks. Though He Qiaoyan objected, her sharp tongue persuaded him. Back home, they had hotpot together. He Qiaoyan attentively warned her not to eat spicy food, stopped her from drinking cola, and offered warm water instead. Qin Yiyue was touched and thanked him.
While searching the study, Dr. Qin found many photos of girls’ backs in He Qiaoyan’s drawer, which puzzled her. Xiaobao called her away, and they painted and colored together. Though the room became messy, the warm family atmosphere made it worthwhile. Because she hadn’t washed her hair in days, Qin Yiyue used prickly heat powder. He Qiaoyan asked if she needed help. Though she said, “Whatever,” he interpreted it as “No, but yes,” and washed her hair himself, even drying it carefully.
Later, He Qiaoyan sat in his study, staring at one of the photos of the girl’s back, lost in memory. The next morning, Xiaobao and Dr. Qin saw him off to work. Xiaobao asked him to kiss mommy. Though Qin Yiyue told him not to take it seriously, He Qiaoyan kissed her neck anyway. Both seemed slightly stirred by the moment. Before leaving, he told her a lawyer would visit that afternoon. It turned out the lawyer came to discuss suing Sheng Huai’s mother. But Dr. Qin didn’t want to sue, so she sent the lawyer away.
