Qin Yiyue still felt embarrassed. He Qiaoyan insisted on telling everyone she had fainted from fear. He even asked her, if the snakes had been poisonous, what she would want to say to him before dying. Unexpectedly, Qin Yiyue immediately said, “Terminate the contract. ” He Qiaoyan replied there were still six hours left in the parent-child event and agreed to terminate the contract after that.
Qin Yiyue showed a bit of reluctance, and He Qiaoyan told her she wouldn’t have to avoid him anymore in the future. Ning Fang was waiting to take Qin Yiyue home, but Xiaobao came out and insisted she take He Qiaoyan’s car. Left with no choice, Qin Yiyue took Xiaobao and returned in Ning Fang’s car. He read it to her aloud: because he developed feelings for Qin Yiyue outside the agreement, he wanted to continue the relationship as a romantic one. The contract term could be indefinitely extended — for example, a lifetime. This was the reason she could stay by his side.
He Qiaoyan rushed forward to kiss her, moving Qin Yiyue to tears. They finally got together officially. Xiaobao was also thrilled, kissing his dad and then his mom. Just then, Ning Fang showed up, but He Qiaoyan, with Qin Yiyue and Xiaobao, said they were heading home and told him they were now officially dating. He Qiaoyan explained Ning Fang had come to inform her that the idol concert was canceled, but Qin Yiyue said it didn’t matter.
He Qiaoyan then took her and Xiaobao home. Once home, He Qiaoyan added a TV and a fridge filled with her favorite snacks in Qin Yiyue’s bedroom. Qin Yiyue wanted to watch TV in bed with He Qiaoyan, and just as the TV showed the main couple kissing, the two started feeling the heat but managed to restrain themselves. Qin Yiyue fell asleep, and He Qiaoyan returned to his own bed.
At the company, everyone joked that the “thousand-year iron tree” finally bloomed — He Qiaoyan was visibly happy. Qin Yiyue was also in a great mood when she returned to her studio. Zhou Xiaoan teased her about being struck by Cupid’s arrow. Lin Wei stormed into President He’s office, returning her termination papers, but He Qiaoyan firmly told her that he and Qin Yiyue were officially in a relationship.
