Qin Yiyue encountered a man acting suspiciously with his phone in the elevator, waving it around everywhere. In reality, he was just trying to find a signal and even placed the phone on the floor with the camera facing upward. This led Qin Yiyue to mistakenly think he was secretly filming her. She grabbed him, insisting on taking him to the police.
As soon as they exited the elevator, they ran into He Qiaoyan and Lin Wei, who both called the man “President Jia. ” It turned out to be a misunderstanding. He Qiaoyan told Qin Yiyue to let go quickly, and then they went in for a meeting. Qin Yiyue waited outside until the meeting ended. President Jia walked out looking quite displeased. She also revealed that she knew Qin Yiyue and He Qiaoyan were in a fake marriage — just a contract — and kept putting Qin Yiyue down, saying she was seriously affecting He Qiaoyan’s work. Qin Yiyue was left heartbroken. Outside, Ning Fang was waiting to take her home. He Qiaoyan even gave Qin Yiyue his jacket and said he’d take her back, but she declined.
