The Mu Ru cavalry, led by Han Shan, had been stationed in Hanzhou for eleven days, facing harsh conditions that left them pale and with exhausted food supplies, forcing a desperate final battle. Han Shan, preparing for heavy losses, bid farewell to Mu Ru Suo's armor, vowing to fight again with his brothers in the next life. Simultaneously, Mu Ru Suo was sailing towards Tian Qi City, unaware of Emperor Muyun Qin's death and anxious to return to aid him.

On the battlefield, as light snow fell, Tie Yuan observed the beautiful scenery before ordering his Hanzhou soldiers to charge as the Mu Ru cavalry, having discarded their shields, initiated their final assault. Han Shan declared to the Helan army that order was the highest law of peace and that those who wielded the butcher's knife would die by it, with the Mu Ru being that very knife.

Muyun Yanshuang stood amidst the chaos, surrounded by Mu Ru soldiers under Han Shan's command to protect her. In a fierce struggle, Shuofeng Heye and Han Shan fought, initially evenly matched. Ultimately, Han Shan was defeated by Shuofeng Heye's Kua Fu Axe, but he died protecting Muyun Yanshuang. Remembering a past promise not to look into Muyun Yanshuang's eyes if they met on the battlefield, Shuofeng Heye covered his own eyes with gauze.

Outnumbered, the Mu Ru cavalry was annihilated by the Hanzhou army, leaving their bodies strewn across the blood-soaked field. Tie Yuan, victorious, publicly humiliated the severely wounded and captured Han Shan. Muyun Yanshuang, now held by the Helan tribe, gazed with icy eyes. Following their decisive victory, Tie Yuan hosted a celebration banquet. Despite the triumph, Shuofeng Heye appeared unhappy.

His sister, Tie Duo, returned, presenting the seals of three other tribes, including the Suo Da and Ku Su tribes, thereby making Shuofeng Heye the lord of the Four Tribes. Tie Yuan then ordered Shuofeng Lan to bring in Mu Ruhan Shan for further humiliation. In Tian Qi City, the Mu Ru family faced a severe crisis due to Mu Ruhanjiang's accusation of regicide. Mu Ruhanjiang was imprisoned, desperately wanting to explain the truth to Muyun Sheng.

In the Mu Ru ancestral shrine, Han Chuan vehemently defended Mu Ruhanjiang, believing he would never betray the three-hundred-year covenant between the Muyun and Mu Ru families by killing the emperor. He vowed to protect the ancestral bloodline and avenge the injustice, swearing to polish his Purple Kylin clan emblem with enemy blood once the truth was revealed, asserting that the Mu Ru clan would not yield until Mu Ru Suo's return.

Meanwhile, in the Kyushu Inn, Muyun De lamented the perceived collapse of the long-standing Muyun and Mu Ru alliance, reflecting on the impermanence of power. In Wei Ping Zhai, Muyun Sheng refused to believe Mu Ruhanjiang was a regicide. To uncover the truth of Emperor Muyun Qin's death, he consumed "Ningxin Pills," initially seeing only fragments, such as A Shan pleading for Empress Nanku Mingyi in Muyun Qin's bedchamber, or Mu Ruhanjiang killing palace staff.

Determined, Muyun Sheng ingested all the remaining pills, which eventually caused his mind and body to become demented. Using the pills' power, he finally saw the complete truth: A Shan, enraged by Muyun Qin's refusal to forgive Empress Nanku Mingyi for killing Yin Rong, fatally stabbed Muyun Qin. At that moment, Mu Ruhanjiang, under the influence of a secret technique, arrived and killed A Shan.

Muyun Sheng's phantom appeared, desperately yelling for Mu Ruhanjiang to stop, realizing A Shan's death would make it impossible to clear Mu Ruhanjiang's name. Suddenly, Mo Yuchen appeared, declaring Mu Ruhanjiang's innocence could no longer be proven. Muyun Sheng recognized Mo Yuchen as the one who had wounded his father years ago using the "Moon Shadow Devouring Soul" technique and was also the mastermind behind Pan Xi's death. He demanded to know Mo Yuchen's intentions.

Mo Yuchen, donning a mask, claimed to be helping Muyun Sheng, stating that Muyun Sheng needed to lose everything to become perfect. Mo Yuchen then pulled Muyun Sheng's phantom back to Wei Ping Zhai, where Muyun He Ge and Nanku Mingyi had arrived, ordering the arrest of Yu Xinji. Inside, Muyun Sheng witnessed Muyun He Ge and Nanku Mingyi coercing him to sign two edicts.

The first declared Mu Ruhanjiang guilty of regicide, which would dissolve the three-hundred-year Muyun-Mu Ru covenant, leading to the extermination of the Mu Ru family and their erasure from Kyushu, serving as an account for Muyun Qin's death. Muyun Sheng's phantom was heartbroken, holding onto a faint hope that as Crown Prince, he could still alter the edicts and protect those he cared for.

Mo Yuchen mocked his naiveté, stating that Muyun Sheng could not even protect himself, and the world was no longer his. The second edict was a self-incrimination, stating that the Duan Dynasty was ruined by Muyun Sheng, who would therefore abdicate as ruler and accept clan punishment to account to the world.

While his phantom refused to sign, the real Muyun Sheng, in his incapacitated state, signed both edicts without hesitation, fulfilling Muyun He Ge and Nanku Mingyi's demands, acting like a puppet. Following this, Muyun Sheng was imprisoned with Mu Ruhanjiang. A puppet resembling Muyun Sheng was also displayed with Mu Ruhanjiang, possibly outside Tian Qi City. Mu Ruhanjiang anxiously called out to Muyun Sheng, fearing for him, but Muyun Sheng, due to the excessive Ningxin Pills, was in a demented state and could not respond.
