Muyun Luan intercepted a secret report from Gusong Zhi, sent to Muyun Han from Hanzhou, detailing Muyun Yanshuang's disappearance. Aware of Jing Wang's (Muyun Yanshuang's father) temperament and Muyun Yanshuang's importance, Muyun Luan decided to exploit this situation to undermine Muyun Han's position as regent prince. He instructed his subordinate, Muyuan, to forge a reply from Muyun Han to Gusong Zhi, aiming to incite chaos in Hanzhou, particularly by encouraging the Helan tribe to cause more trouble.
Muyun Luan believed that only through widespread disorder in Hanzhou and across the land could he seize an opportunity to become a hero. Meanwhile, in the forests where the Danyao tribe resided in Hanzhou, Shuofeng Heye and his companions arrived. Danyao Granny, an elder, and her tribe welcomed them at the entrance, recognizing the return of the Iron King.
Danyao Granny expressed her honor in undertaking the task of spreading the news of the Iron King's return throughout Hanzhou, using the power of wind. Muyun Yanshuang, staying in a Danyao tent, was offered milk tea by Granny. She hesitated to reveal her true identity when questioned, instead learning how to prepare the milk tea, finding warmth in Granny's smile. Granny also pointed out gentian herbs on the table.
Yanshuang confided that despite her privileged background, she came to Hanzhou seeking happiness, viewing it as the most beautiful place where she could truly be herself. That night, Muyun Yanshuang visited Shuofeng Heye's tent, asking to examine the Iron King Sword. Heye presented it, asserting that the Iron King would eventually lead the Hanzhou tribes to seek vengeance against the Muru and Muyun clans, killing them swiftly. Yanshuang challenged his vision, scoffing that the eight Hanzhou tribes were fragmented.
She cautioned him, holding the sword to his neck, that her surname was Muyun, and despite Hanzhou's beauty, she would not allow Zhongzhou to become like it. She further revealed the brutal methods Helan Tieyuan employed to subjugate other tribes, asserting he was not the hero Heye imagined. Suhe, Heye's companion, corroborated Yanshuang's account of Tieyuan's ruthlessness and power, shocking Heye and prompting Suhe to warn Heye to be wary of Tieyuan.
Yanshuang requested that Heye promise not to look into her eyes during future battles. She also agreed to let Suhe lift a curse she was under, and proposed spending one day with Heye as her true self, as Muyun Yanshuang free from the curse, desiring to experience life as a Hanzhou woman with him. The next day, Danyao Granny and the other Danyao women helped Muyun Yanshuang dress and prepare as a Shuofeng tribe bride.
Yanshuang wished that in her next life, she could be born in the grasslands and forever be with Heye. Overhearing her quiet words from outside the tent, Heye, who had initially believed she had already departed, promised that if she were reborn in the grasslands, in his very own tribe, he would find her sooner and be with her for a lifetime. Yanshuang, overjoyed by his promise, emerged and asked him if she looked beautiful.
Heye took her hand, and they galloped across the Hanzhou land on horseback, embracing and relishing their shared time. Yanshuang yearned for time to stop. Heye, recalling his father braiding his mother's hair, braided Yanshuang's hair. Yanshuang, in turn, braided Heye's hair in the Hanzhou tradition, promising that in this life, she would look at him until her very last moment when they parted. As their day concluded, Danyao Granny and Heye watched Muyun Yanshuang depart sadly at sunset.
Early the next morning, she rode away from the Danyao camp. Heye worried about her safe return to the army camp. Back in the tent, Suhe revealed to a regretful Heye that Muyun Yanshuang's love curse had actually been lifted long ago, confirming her genuine affection. Later, when Danyao Granny led her tribe to welcome the Iron King's return and was about to announce the Iron King's name using her secret wind power, Shuofeng Heye interrupted.
He declared that the current Iron King should be Helan Tieyuan, stating that Hanzhou at present only trusted strength, and he needed to become stronger to truly be the Iron King. He explained that Yanshuang had made him understand his responsibility to Hanzhou, and he believed relying on the strong was the fastest path to Hanzhou's freedom, as the title of "King" was merely a name.
He committed to guiding the strong to bring hope to Hanzhou in his own way, signifying his resolve by burning his braid in front of everyone. Suhe deduced that Yanshuang had indeed influenced Heye's decision to give up the title of Iron King. Danyao Granny instructed her tribal women to release wind-whisper balls from mountaintops and open spaces, spreading the message that Helan Tieyuan was the Iron King and embedding this belief into the hearts of every Hanzhou person. Shuofeng Heye then took the Iron King Sword and departed from Danyao, intending to deliver it to its new owner, Helan Tieyuan.
