Emperor Muyun Qin was saved by Muyun Sheng, who utilized Pan Xi's secret techniques, and his long-standing illness was cured. Upon waking, Emperor Muyun Qin, remembering only that Pan Xi had said Muyun Sheng saved him, regained his physical abilities, to his own disbelief. While Muyun Hege, with Nanku Qi and two other ministers, was in the Golden Throne Hall, having signed state documents and practiced imperial rites, Emperor Muyun Qin, accompanied by Mu Rusu, unexpectedly appeared.

This sudden return startled everyone, especially Muyun Hege and the Queen. Nanku Qi, in a state of disbelief and near madness, yelled that the Emperor was dead and attempted to assassinate him with a dagger. However, Yu Xinji intervened, stopping Nanku Qi and arresting him on Emperor Muyun Qin's orders. For his loyalty, Yu Xinji was promoted and appointed to oversee palace security.

Emperor Muyun Qin then walked towards his throne, prompting a terrified Muyun Hege to immediately kneel, followed by the Queen who also knelt to request punishment. The Queen, initially requesting a death sentence, was tenderly helped up by Emperor Muyun Qin, who declared he couldn't bear to harm her and vowed lifelong protection. Mistaking her for Yin Rong, the Emperor embraced and kissed her in the great hall, promising to never leave her side except for court.

Though tearfully apologizing, the Queen felt profound sadness, realizing she could never truly surpass Yin Rong in his heart. When the Emperor asked her how to deal with Muyun Hege, she, enduring her pain and acknowledging the Emperor's mistaking her for Yin Rong, pleaded for Muyun Hege's life to be spared. Nanku Yueli, anticipating good news, was instead captured by Liontooth Guards at the Nanku manor and, after being slapped by a leading eunuch, was left weeping.

Emperor Muyun Qin was troubled by the Nanku family case, as court officials feared retaliation for dealing with such a powerful clan, despite Nanku Qi's regicide attempt. Prior to this, Hanshan had advised Mu Rusu to employ secret spellmasters, but Mu Rusu steadfastly refused, adhering to ancestral teachings. Later, Mu Rusu met Emperor Muyun Qin alone, expressing his immense satisfaction at the Emperor's recovery and pledging his loyalty.

He then volunteered to eliminate the Nanku family to ease the Emperor's burdens. Muyun Qin warned Mu Rusu that the Nanku family, having five generations of influence, commanded vast power across the court, and accepting this task would make him a target of many officials. Despite this, Mu Rusu, filled with righteous loyalty, declared his unwavering commitment, stating he would willingly offend the entire world if he had the Emperor's trust.

The next day, under heavy rain outside the Imperial City, five generations of the Nanku family were rounded up. Mu Rusu personally oversaw Nanku Qi's execution, beheading him after severing the rope suspending him. Before his death, Nanku Qi warned Mu Rusu that wielding the butcher's knife would lead to his own demise.

Emperor Muyun Qin, with the Queen watching from a high wall, decreed that all Nanku family men be executed for regicide and usurpation, all women be conscripted as official prostitutes (Nanku Yueli was sent to a brothel in Tianqi City), and Muyun Hege be imprisoned for life for forging imperial edicts.

Nanku Yueli remained defiant of her fate, while the Queen, witnessing her family's destruction and Muyun Hege's imprisonment, was overwhelmed by despair, recalling her past envy and imitation of Yin Rong and the bitter irony of her survival. The swift downfall of the Nanku family caused widespread panic among court officials.

Xue Huo and Gu Songzhi, anticipating future dangers, grew concerned that Emperor Muyun Qin might seek to protect the Mei spirit tribe and eliminate their own clans, recalling past grievances related to the Mei spirit. Mu Ruhanjiang, after severely wounding Tianluo, successfully rescued Muyun Lu and Su Yuning from the underground city. However, in the process, he accidentally killed Grandma Su, who had shielded Wang Duo from a sword, leading to Su Yuning's inconsolable grief and resentment towards Mu Ruhanjiang.

The trio sought refuge at an inn at the foot of Qingyu Ridge, where they learned of Emperor Muyun Qin's recovery. Mu Ruhanjiang proposed sending Muyun Lu back to Tianqi City, but Muyun Lu adamantly refused, insisting on proceeding to Qingyu Ridge to find the Imperial Seal. Unable to persuade him, Mu Ruhanjiang informed Muyun Lu of the Emperor's return to court, a piece of news that greatly pleased Muyun Lu.

While Muyun Sheng lay unconscious in the palace, Yu Xinji recalled a previous incident where Muyun Sheng's body inexplicably erupted in flames, burning Lan Yu'er. Simultaneously, Emperor Muyun Qin, aware of a Mei spirit woman by Muyun Sheng's side, discussed the matter with the Queen. The Queen, expressing her hatred for Muyun Sheng and the Mei spirit tribe, proposed eliminating the Mei spirit for Muyun Sheng's safety, a suggestion Emperor Muyun Qin, still mistaking her for Yin Rong, readily approved.

Meanwhile, Muyun Sheng, having fallen into an illusion after saving Emperor Muyun Qin, found Pan Xi with a mysterious man. Muyun Sheng called Pan Xi's name, demanding the man release her and rejecting his help. Pan Xi then realized that this Youyou Mei was not the Muyun Sheng she loved. Youyou Mei, who had been trapped by Muyun Sheng for many years and harbored deep resentment, had fallen in love with Pan Xi and wished to keep her.

He severely injured Muyun Sheng with a secret technique and restrained Pan Xi, warning her that her mission was to awaken him, not Muyun Sheng, and that despite her powerful abilities, she was far inferior to him. Pan Xi tried to save Muyun Sheng but was controlled by Youyou Mei, who choked her to threaten Muyun Sheng. Youyou Mei asserted that he and Pan Xi belonged to the same world and could only complete each other.

He threatened to destroy Pan Xi himself if Muyun Sheng refused to yield, driving Muyun Sheng to despair as Pan Xi's life hung in the balance under Youyou Mei's aggressive pressure. In the Muyun army camp in Hanzhou, Muyun Han received Emperor Muyun Qin's summons and prepared to return to Tianqi City, entrusting temporary command of military affairs to Muyun Yanshuang.

Muyun Yanshuang, leading a small squad of silver-armored soldiers, then embarked on a journey towards Hannorth, intending to find a rare and valuable gift for Muyun Han to present in Tianqi City. Meanwhile, Shuofeng Heye was also traveling towards the Black Forest to find the warhorse "Chilangqi" for Tie Yuan.

His journey, initially with a single horse, was interrupted when his horse either froze to death or fell ill and died halfway, forcing Shuofeng Heye to abandon it and continue alone.
