> Tribes and Empires: Storm of Prophecy Recap

Su Yuning, observing Mu Ruhanjiang hidden among the Tianluo Hall assassins, attempted to protect Muyun Lu and prevent Mu Ruhanjiang from risking his life. To safeguard Muyun Lu's life and compel him to reveal the imperial seal's location, she threatened her own life. When Ji Yuncong expressed disbelief in her ability, Su Yuning, fearing Muyun Lu's demise would cause Mu Ruhanjiang deep grief, dramatically kissed Muyun Lu in front of everyone.

While Muyun Lu had just tearfully claimed he did not like her and would never reveal the seal's whereabouts, Su Yuning had begged him not to speak during the kiss. This shocking act prevented Mu Ruhanjiang from concealing his identity any longer; he stepped forward, loudly questioning if Su Yuning's actions were driven by a fear that he would not save Muyun Lu.

Perplexed, Ji Yuncong asked Su Yuning whom she truly liked and who the newcomer was, prompting Su Yuning to tearfully plead for Mu Ruhanjiang's life. Long Jinhuan then ordered Ji Yuncong to withdraw and led the Tianluo Army against Mu Ruhanjiang. Mu Ruhanjiang, having been rigorously trained by Muru Yuan since childhood, proved more than a match for the assassins.

However, Long Jinhuan was prepared; he instructed Wang Duo and two protectors to deploy the "Tianluo Jiuzhong," utilizing "Tianluo silk" to trap Mu Ruhanjiang. With Mu Ruhanjiang contained, Long Jinhuan escalated the situation by threatening Su Yuning's life, coercing Muyun Lu to draw a map revealing the imperial seal's location.

Muyun Lu, torn between his emotional attachments and his duty to the empire, refused to draw the map, tearfully stating he could not betray the Muyun clan and become its sinner. He articulated that a true man must prioritize the empire, that worldly pleasures and love are ephemeral, and that he was destined to disappoint Su Yuning.

Mu Ruhanjiang, furious, loudly questioned Muyun Lu if the empire was truly more important than the life and flesh of the one he loved. Witnessing Muyun Lu's unwavering resolve, Mu Ruhanjiang finally declared his unreserved feelings. He vowed to protect Su Yuning from that moment on, disregarding her fate as the destined Empress.

He proclaimed that he cared neither for the empire nor the glory of the Muru clan, only for Su Yuning, promising she would belong to him for life and that he would never let her suffer any harm, no matter the future hardships. Su Yuning responded with tears of relief and a grateful smile. Meanwhile, Muyun Lu's spirit horse returned riderless to his residence, leading Di Huo to deduce that Muyun Lu had met with an unexpected incident.

Di Huo swiftly reported this to Mu Rushuo. Fearing a resurgence of power struggles for the throne, Mu Rushuo ordered Mu Ruhan Shan to lead the Liontooth Guards to search Qingyuling for Muyun Lu and to keep the news of his disappearance strictly confidential. However, Nanku Qi had already learned of Muyun Lu's predicament and seized control of the Liontooth Guards, making it impossible for Mu Ruhan Shan to mobilize them without Nanku Qi's consent.

Mu Rushuo confronted Nanku Qi about his interference with the Muru Liontooth Guards. Nanku Qi used this opportunity to propose disbanding the Liontooth Guards and empowering princes to raise their own armies, a suggestion Mu Rushuo immediately rejected. Nanku Qi further accused Mu Rushuo of intending to use the Liontooth Guards to help his third son contend for the throne.

To counter Nanku Qi's provocations and stop him from causing further unrest, Mu Rushuo coldly revealed Nanku Yueli's attempt to harm Su Yuning four years prior, specifically mentioning she had bribed guards to push Su Yuning off a cliff. He threatened Nanku Qi with public exposure, demanding that he cease all interference in military affairs from then on. Mu Rushuo explained that his decision to share military authority with Nanku Qi was merely to assuage Muyun Qin's concerns.

While he held no disloyal intentions, he refused to be perceived as a threat to the Emperor and expected Nanku Qi to show restraint. Enraged but compelled to protect Nanku Yueli, Nanku Qi reluctantly agreed. That night, Nanku Qi secretly met Muyun Hego, entrusting his daughter, Nanku Yueli, to him and instructing him to prepare for the emperorship, adding that only Muyun Hego could give Nanku Yueli everything she desired.

Muyun Hego, initially confused, was told by Nanku Qi to prepare for a crucial task the following day. The next morning, Nanku Qi went to the palace to meet Empress Nanku Mingyi. He laid out the current situation and proposed eliminating Muyun Qin, stating the Emperor was now useless and that killing him would resolve all future troubles. Nanku Mingyi, despite still harboring feelings for Muyun Qin, initially forbade Nanku Qi from harming him.

Nanku Qi then cold-heartedly analyzed the critical situation, threatening Muyun Hego's life: Muyun Hego possessed a forged imperial seal, and if Muyun Qin was not removed now, the forgery would eventually be discovered, leading to Muyun Hego's death. Conversely, if Muyun Qin was eliminated, Muyun Hego could legitimately ascend the throne. Although shocked and disapproving of Nanku Qi's methods, Nanku Mingyi reluctantly acquiesced for the sake of her son, Muyun Hego.

After Nanku Mingyi left, Nanku Qi ordered Wu Ruyi to dismiss the imperial physicians and guards. Meanwhile, Muyun Hego, disguised as a golden-armored warrior, had infiltrated the Emperor's bedchamber area. However, Nanku Qi entered first, going to Muyun Qin alone. Nanku Qi personally strangled Muyun Qin to death. As Nanku Qi panicked and tried to flee, Muyun Qin's hand clutched his, terrifying him and forcing him to struggle free before he fled in a panic.

Simultaneously, the disguised Muyun Hego, or another golden-armored warrior, noticed the unusual activity outside Muyun Qin's sleeping area. In her bedchamber, Empress Nanku Mingyi reflected on the treasures Muyun Qin had given her. Wu Ruyi then brought her the news of Muyun Qin's death.

Though she had anticipated it, she was simultaneously heartbroken and overjoyed, feeling Muyun Qin had given her the greatest gift – her son inheriting the empire – but at the cost of the "world" in her heart. Elsewhere, Muyun Hego was stunned upon receiving the news, finding it hard to believe he had obtained the empire so easily. That night, Muyun Hego sought out Nanku Yueli.

He found her in the palace, already adorned in red attire and perfectly made up, having waited for him in empress attire for a long time. Nanku Yueli addressed him as "Your Majesty," filling Muyun Hego with elation. With the imperial seal now in his possession, he believed their lifelong dream of him becoming king and Nanku Yueli becoming empress, jointly ruling the empire, would be realized once Mu Rushuo, who was currently overseeing the state, gave his assent.
