Old Jinji reveals his true identity as Muru Jinji, a former Muru Iron Cavalry soldier who, years ago, led 30,000 troops to suppress a rebellion by the eight tribes in Hanzhou, killing many, severely weakening the tribes, and securing peace for Great Duan for a decade. Helan Tieyuan, knowing this, forces Old Jinji to openly admit these facts.
Tieyuan then taunts Shuofeng Heye for associating with someone named Muru, claiming Heye would become a disgrace to the Hanzhou people if he continued to do so. Shuofeng Heye, despite his surprise at Old Jinji's identity, remains devoted to Jinzhuhai and angrily confronts Tieyuan, demanding her return.
Tieyuan dismisses Shuofeng Heye's devotion, suggesting that a man doesn't need to commit to just one woman, which further enrages Shuofeng Heye, who then shoves Tieyuan onto a chair, physically threatening him to release Jinzhuhai. Helan Tieyuan, implying that Jinzhuhai and Kusudu had already been intimate, suggests Shuofeng Heye find another woman. Soon after, Helan tribesmen bring in Kusudu and Jinzhuhai, naked and wrapped in sheepskin coats, and reveal them to Shuofeng Heye and Old Jinji.
Jinzhuhai weeps bitterly, crying out in sorrow, not wanting Shuofeng Heye to see her degraded state, and bites Kusudu's chin in hatred. Kusudu, however, boldly claims that Jinzhuhai had secretly been his woman for four years, even behind Old Jinji's back, and that he was the man she truly desired. Old Jinji, enraged by Kusudu's false claims, curses him as an animal and tries to stop him but is restrained by Helan tribesmen.
Shuofeng Heye, dismissing Kusudu's words, punches him repeatedly until Kusudu is nearly dead and vomiting blood, which splatters onto Shuofeng Heye's hands and Jinzhuhai's face. Shuofeng Heye then stops, wraps Jinzhuhai in another sheepskin felt, and carries her away from the Helan tribe. Old Jinji tries to explain that his daughter never loved anyone else, but Shuofeng Heye silences him, insisting that the incident is past.
Helan Tieyuan attempts to dissuade Shuofeng Heye from leaving, promising their brotherhood would continue if Heye remained and urging him not to abandon his aspirations for what Tieyuan deemed "unworthy things." Shuofeng Heye, however, continues to leave without pausing. Just then, Helan Tiedo returns and attempts to block Shuofeng Heye at the tent entrance, but he merely casts a gaze full of hatred at her before departing with Jinzhuhai.
As Shuofeng Heye carries Jinzhuhai away, she remains silent and withdrawn, but later asks if he still believes her. He reassures her of his unwavering faith, promising that their love and life together will be as beautiful as before. With relief, Jinzhuhai asks Old Jinji to give them privacy. Shuofeng Heye holds her under a tree, where she asks about his future plans.
He replies that he wishes to live with both her and Old Jinji, believing that as long as they live, there is hope for a future, and that they have a long life ahead, and he will give her the life she wants. Jinzhuhai leans into his arms, envisioning a future life.
She mentions a hidden oasis they once found and expresses a desire to retreat there with Shuofeng Heye, to raise children and live a simple, beautiful life, free from the conflicts of Hanzhou. She worries that his untamed ambitions make it impossible for her to bind him, and she doesn't wish to be an obstacle to his greatness.
Shuofeng Heye embraces her tightly, declaring that he would gladly accompany her to live the life she desires, and all his ambitions could wait. He vows to fulfill all her wishes. Jinzhuhai, feeling grateful and fortunate to have been loved by Shuofeng Heye, tells him she wants to give him a gift and wishes him to always remember her as she was. While tightly embracing him, she whispers something in his ear, then uses a pre-prepared dagger to commit suicide.
As she dies, she smiles, telling Shuofeng Heye that she has found what her heart desired and has no regrets in this life. She also expresses her hope that he will return to Helan Tiedo to pursue his aspirations and become a king. Shuofeng Heye holds her lifeless body and cries out to the heavens, filled with deep despair and unwillingness. Shuofeng Heye buries Jinzhuhai according to Shuofeng tribe tradition, with Old Jinji present.
Shuofeng Heye asks Old Jinji to come with him, but Old Jinji refuses, stating he cannot go on, as living would only bring pain and sorrow after burying his own child. Seeing Old Jinji's complete loss of will to live, Shuofeng Heye tries to reignite his spirit by reminding him of his identity as a Muru warrior and by declaring his own grand ambitions.
He proclaims that he, Shuofeng Heye, will not only be the Lord of Shuofeng and the King of Hanzhou but will also unite all eight Hanzhou tribes and all of Kyushu, marching to Tianqi City to overthrow all those in power. Old Jinji sharply dismisses Shuofeng Heye's words as delusional, pointing out that the eight Hanzhou tribes are currently nothing but a scattered mess.
Shuofeng Heye counters that they are disorganized because they don't know who their true king is, asserting that he will be not only the Iron King of Hanzhou but also the King of Kyushu. Shuofeng Heye's impassioned words reignite Old Jinji's inherent sense of duty as a Muru warrior, and they agree to a fair fight to the death in three days at that very spot. Old Jinji remains by Jinzhuhai's body, stating he will wait there for Shuofeng Heye.
Helan Tiedo rides back to the site where the Shuofeng tribesmen sacrificed themselves and retrieves the iron axe used by the Shuofeng clan. Meanwhile, Shuofeng Heye returns alone to Jinzhuhai's grave and discovers that Old Jinji has died by her side, having gone to join Jinzhuhai. The following day, Shuofeng Heye, enduring profound humiliation for the sake of his greater ambitions, returns to the Helan tribe and asks to stay.
Helan Tieyuan's demeanor completely shifts, and he demands Shuofeng Heye prove his loyalty and sincerity. Shuofeng Heye, swallowing his pride and shame, kneels on the ground, crawls, picks up a carbon stone thrown by Tieyuan, and presents it to him, thereby pledging allegiance to Tieyuan as his lord. Tieyuan kisses the carbon stone and then uses it to draw a mark on Shuofeng Heye's head. Immediately after Shuofeng Heye's pledge, Helan Tiedo arrives.
Disregarding Helan Tieyuan's presence or commands, she hands Shuofeng Heye an iron axe, which he recognizes as the Kuafu's leg bone axe his father, Shuofeng Da, had once given him. Tiedo confidently declares that with this axe in hand, Shuofeng Heye will undoubtedly become the king of this world. Shuofeng Heye recalls the moment his father passed him the axe and then pours his own blood onto it.
Helan Tieyuan eyes the axe enviously and attempts to seize it, but Shuofeng Heye's piercing gaze deters him, forcing Tieyuan to return the axe. At that very moment, the Hanzhou sky undergoes a dramatic change: dark clouds rapidly cover the entire horizon, yet a sacred light penetrates through the center. People collectively shout "Pan Da!" or "Pan Da Heavenly God!" towards the heavens. Shuofeng Heye, raising the axe high, vows to become the king of this world.
Later, Helan Tieyuan goes to the prison cell where Satan Shuofeng Suhe is held captive. Tieyuan threatens Shuofeng Suhe's life, demanding that the all-knowing Satan lead him to the Dan Yao tribe, who possess secret arts, warning he would scalp him otherwise. The following day, Shuofeng Suhe, accompanied by Helan Tieyuan and Shuofeng Heye's group, sets out to find the Dan Yao tribe. Their journey leads them to the Black Forest, located at the foot of a snowy mountain. The Black Forest is a perilous place, described as eerie, terrifying, and riddled with traps, yet Helan Tieyuan loudly declares his intent to slaughter all the Dan Yao people.
