However, Wu Fengyu politely declined the offer, asking Sun Yu to thank Lei Shuo for him. While Yang Zhentian was at a restaurant conducting business, Liu Qing, disguised as a waiter, interrupted him. Liu Qing cornered Yang Zhentian, threatening him with chopsticks and demanding to know his involvement in Mu Wanqing's kidnapping.
A terrified Yang Zhentian swore he knew nothing, claiming he only went to Maoyuan to discuss business with Mu Wanqing and had done nothing untoward. Liu Qing then warned Yang Zhentian to stay away from Mu Wanqing before departing. Lei Shuo’s investigation confirmed that Yang Zhentian was responsible for spreading malicious rumors online to discredit Maoyuan. Lei Shuo also found information on Yang Zhentian's phone suggesting he was working for someone else.

She confronted him, expressing discomfort about his presence in her room during the kidnapping and demanding an explanation.
