Gai Luojiao explained that Chief Bai Yue was preparing to resurrect the Water Monstrosity. Tang Yu couldn't believe it. People only knew that the Water Monstrosity was permanently sealed by the Wizard Queen, but they didn't know that Chief Bai Yue had been searching for a way to resurrect it and now likely knew the secret. Gai Luojiao asked Tang Yu to help A Nu find out the truth.

Tang Yu found Chief Bai Yue and asked if the object in the underground palace's pool was the Water Monstrosity. Chief Bai Yue did not deny it. Tang Yu pressed for the reason, but Chief Bai Yue stated that all things in the world are mutually dependent and restrictive, and fundamentally inseparable from water, so resurrecting the Water Monstrosity might not be a bad thing. A Nu returned to Gai Luojiao after gathering herbs and asked about Tang Yu's whereabouts.

Gai Luojiao revealed Tang Yu's true identity and that he was possessed by the Golden Silkworm Worm to save A Nu, and was eventually saved by Chief Bai Yue. A Nu couldn't believe it, left Shen Mu Lin alone, determined to find Tang Yu. Tang Yu had just left Chief Bai Yue and ran into A Nu.

A Nu said she never wanted to be separated from Tang Yu again, and that once they found the Ling Zhu, they would roam the world together forever, never parting. Tang Yu was more conflicted, but Chief Bai Yue had ordered him to eliminate Gai Luojiao, so Tang Yu secretly acted at night. In the Nan Zhao court, someone reported Gai Luojiao's death. Chief Bai Yue stated that Tang Yu was responsible.

The King of the Southern Alliance explained that Tang Yu was a member of the Wu Yue sect and would never harm Gai Luojiao. The King of Nan Zhao seemed to lean towards Chief Bai Yue's statement and ordered a thorough investigation into Gai Luojiao's cause of death. Li Xiaoyao and Lin Yueru uncovered many wine jars but did not find the sealed swordsman. Finally, they found the territory of Shu Zhong Xian. Shu Zhong Xian considered himself knowledgeable.

Li Xiaoyao used a riddle as bait, but Shu Zhong Xian couldn't answer it. Li Xiaoyao had to find another way. Baopu appeared again to snatch the Ling Zhu. Li Xiaoyao had no choice but to fight. Using the Wine God Curse taught by Jiu Jian Xian, he nearly killed Baopu. While the two were fighting, Lin Yueru stepped onto a Bagua formation and entered another space.

Jiang Wan'er told Zhao Ling'er that Li Xiaoyao had entered the Demon Locking Pagoda. Zhao Ling'er asked for help persuading Li Xiaoyao to leave, not to sacrifice his life in vain. Jiang Wan'er suddenly felt very averse to Zhao Ling'er's view on love, stating that since Zhao Ling'er liked Li Xiaoyao, she should let them be companions forever. Lin Yueru continued searching for Zhao Ling'er, but found herself in a seemingly endless loop, circling back to the starting point.

Li Xiaoyao soon entered the same space, but after fighting Baopu, his physical strength was greatly depleted, and he quickly fainted. Back then, Jiang Che and Yue Rouxia gave birth to Jiang Wan'er, who was imprisoned in the Demon Locking Pagoda by Shushan. Before Yue Rouxia died, she passed on her power to her daughter. Jiang Che also set up Tian Gang Zhan Qi for protection and did not hesitate to fall into the demonic path himself. Jiang Wan'er grew up alone in the Demon Locking Pagoda and had no understanding of what love was in the world.

She only felt that her parents were selfish for giving birth to her, gradually developing hatred, and wanted to destroy the love between Li Xiaoyao and Zhao Ling'er. Jiang Wan'er woke up Li Xiaoyao and indeed led him to a sword mound, explaining that pulling out the treasure sword would allow him to see Zhao Ling'er. Jiang Wan'er wanted to use this to kill her father. Lin Yueru agreed without hesitation. Jiang Wan'er couldn't help but hesitate, amazed that such precious friendship existed in the world.
