After resting for one night in Peach Blossom Village, Lin Yueru woke up to find that Zhao Ling'er was not in the room. Although they had agreed to leave the next day, Lin Yueru went to the courtyard to ask the villagers. A villager said that Zhao Ling'er and Li Xiaoyao had finished breakfast early and gone to the peach blossom forest to enjoy the scenery.

Lin Yueru ran to the peach blossom forest and saw Li Xiaoyao and Zhao Ling'er sitting under a peach tree drinking wine. Both of them looked relaxed, especially Zhao Ling'er. The day before, she had been sensing around with the Spirit Pearl, afraid that she would find the Five Spirit Orbs even one day late. Now, she seemed to have completely forgotten her mission. Lin Yueru reminded Zhao Ling'er to set off quickly.

Zhao Ling'er told Li Xiaoyao to pour wine for Lin Yueru, suggesting they enjoy the fine wine first and then make further plans. Li Xiaoyao poured a cup of wine and politely offered it to Lin Yueru, addressing her as Miss Lin. Since they met, Li Xiaoyao had always called Lin Yueru a savage girl, but now suddenly becoming respectful made Lin Yueru very uncomfortable. Lin Yueru said her father and the Shushan Sect were from the same sect, and Bao Pu naturally knew the name Lin Tiannan. Returning to the inn, Lin Yueru was still full of doubts. She unexpectedly felt a force knocking on her door, so Lin Yueru walked to the door and found A Tao standing outside. A Tao claimed that she saw someone secretly sneaking into Lin Yueru's room.

Lin Yueru quickly checked and found that her bag had been rummaged through; clearly, someone had been there. A piece of paper fell from the window, which had a Shushan Sect character on it. Lin Yueru suddenly remembered Bao Pu, whom she had just met, and hurried out to chase after him. Bao Pu was walking in the peach blossom forest. Lin Yueru stopped him, and Bao Pu naturally denied having been to the inn.

Lin Yueru simply tied Bao Pu to a tree. A moment later, the bound Bao Pu surprisingly also looked relaxed and started talking to himself. This made Lin Yueru even more convinced that there was a strange energy in the village. After the Village Chief learned about the state of the three, he was very satisfied, believing that Peach Blossom Village was branching out and increasing its population. A Tao used the excuse of picking peach blossoms and prepared to steal the peach blossom branch worshipped in the ancestral hall.

The Village Chief arrived in time and scolded A Tao for being disrespectful to the Peach Blossom God. Lin Yueru secretly witnessed what happened in the ancestral hall. At night, she sneaked into A Tao's room through the window.

A Tao explained that she was a peach tree spirit and had used the peach blossom array to confuse passersby, but she had no ill intentions and would not hurt anyone; she just hoped that people would let go of all their worries and enjoy life. Lin Yueru accused the peach blossom array of depriving others of their freedom of choice. A Tao said she also felt it was inappropriate and wanted to break the peach blossom array.

She explained that to break the array, one must use the peach blossom branch to knock on the item on the peach tree and return it to its rightful owner, and that person would be released from the array and regain their memory. So, Lin Yueru stole the peach blossom branch from the ancestral hall and successively found Song Hewen's money bag and Bao Pu's talisman strip. The two finally escaped the illusion.

Lin Yueru explained the truth to Song Hewen. Bao Pu knocked out Zhao Ling'er and stole the Spirit Pearl from her waist. Lin Yueru continued to search for Zhao Ling'er's lost hair tie using the peach blossom branch and finally found a twin-flowered branch, thinking that Li Xiaoyao and Zhao Ling'er might be a match made in heaven.

After leaving the sacred peach tree, Bao Pu happened to pass by and set the sacred tree on fire, then fled in a hurry, accidentally dropping the Spirit Pearl. A Tao saw the sacred tree burning and quickly used her magic to extinguish the fire. Bao Pu's power was superior, and he defeated A Tao. The Village Chief chased Lin Yueru to demand the peach blossom branch and controlled her with magic, but then saw the sacred tree on fire and had to go save it first.
