After visiting Liu Jinyuan's mother, Li Xiaoyao suddenly remembered the beggar he had just seen on the street mentioning the Soaring Dragon Catching Cloud Hand technique. He figured the other person must know something about his background, so he ran out onto the street to search. Lin Yueru worried that Li Xiaoyao wasn't familiar with the capital city and also followed him out. They inquired separately.

Lin Yueru found the beggar Huangfu Ying, who was missing his left arm and had a withered right hand, but he was surrounded by a few street ruffians and was knocked unconscious by drugs. Liu Jinyuan began to cough for no reason. While Li Xiaoyao was concerned, someone delivered the whip that Lin Yueru often used. Lin Yueru was knocked unconscious by the poisonous mist. When she woke up, she found a half-human, half-demon monster, who was Jinchen Guimu. Jinchen Guimu kept repeating that all men were unfaithful. Lin Yueru, however, insisted that Li Xiaoyao would save her. Jinchen Guimu decided to torment Lin Yueru, so she forced her to swallow the Five Poisons Pearl, causing half of Lin Yueru's face to rot, wanting to see if she would also encounter an unfaithful man.
