Xiao Xiao confronted Tan Lin, criticizing him for forgetting his roots in the Fang family after changing his surname, and for bringing Fang Zhaotian, whom she considered a scoundrel, to defile the Fang family’s domain. Tan Lin retorted, asserting his imminent position as the new Baqi Gate owner and stating that Shishu, Fang Zhaotian, was not to be slandered. Xiao Xiao, confident despite her injuries, declared she could defeat Fang Zhaotian, even without her maternal grandfather Fang Ji present.

Fang Zhaotian, however, dismissed her challenge, revealing that in his two years abroad in Southeast Asia, he had integrated the essences of Baqi boxing, Thai boxing, and Malay boxing, making him a formidable opponent. Their fight began, and Fang Zhaotian quickly gained the upper hand, forcing a wounded Xiao Xiao to abandon her home and flee.

Fang Zhaotian relentlessly pursued Xiao Xiao, intent on killing her, but Tan Lin, showing a hint of conscience, intervened to stop his Shishu from finishing her off. Later, Wei Chu and Piaopiao discovered a severely injured Xiao Xiao collapsed by the roadside. They rushed her to Doctor Chen’s clinic. Doctor Chen informed them that Xiao Xiao’s injuries were critical, with her meridians nearly destroyed, and she would require extensive rest and daily medication.

He also mentioned some rare herbs needed for her recovery, which Wei Chu volunteered to procure. Wei Chu noted that Xiao Xiao's assailant possessed strength exceeding even Fang Ji’s, warning that if this individual became an enemy, the situation would worsen. He also urged Doctor Chen to keep Xiao Xiao’s presence a secret from everyone, including Chen Bing and Yang Ningxue, to avoid further complications.

Back at the clinic, Piaopiao tried to comfort Xiao Xiao with aromatherapy, but Xiao Xiao angrily rejected her efforts, knocking the diffuser to the ground. After Wei Chu left, Xiao Xiao confided in Piaopiao, questioning if Piaopiao found her pathetic. She recounted how, upon returning to the Fang family, she was told that Wei Chu had poisoned her grandfather's tea and staged a kidnapping to murder him. Driven by this belief, she had vowed to destroy the Tai Chi system.

Xiao Xiao confessed that perhaps her current miserable state was a deserved outcome. She honestly admitted that she didn't want to be Piaopiao’s enemy but declared that her feud with Wei Chu was irreconcilable, meaning they could never be friends as long as Piaopiao remained with him. Heartbroken, Piaopiao promised to visit again the next day before leaving.

Seeing Piaopiao distressed, Wei Chu encouraged her to learn to let go, assuring her that Xiao Xiao’s situation would eventually find a resolution. He taught her flower arrangement, not just as a skill, but as a way to cultivate a calm mind, essential for handling the many challenges ahead, including the upcoming National Martial Arts Congress. Piaopiao then received an invitation to the National Martial Arts Congress, which featured a five-person team competition.

Wei Chu asked her to lead the Tai Chi system as captain. Piaopiao, fearing she wasn't capable enough and might disgrace Tai Chi, suggested Bai Haiyang would be a better choice and worried about Wei Chu’s grandmother's approval. Wei Chu insisted that Piaopiao was the right person, believing Bai Haiyang would agree, and promised to handle his grandmother, urging Piaopiao to focus on organizing and training the team.

Piaopiao pointed out that they only had four members (herself, Chen Bing, Yang Ningxue, and Bai Haiyang) and questioned if Wei Chu, given his own injuries, would participate. Soon after, Doctor Chen called Wei Chu to report that Xiao Xiao had secretly left the clinic about half an hour prior. Wei Chu and Piaopiao immediately began searching for her. Meanwhile, Fang Zhaotian's men were also actively hunting Xiao Xiao.

In another part of the city, Tan Lin expressed unease about his Shishu, Fang Zhaotian, who was now introducing new, "underground" boxing styles to the Baqi Gate disciples.

Tan Lin worried that such last-minute changes before the National Martial Arts Congress could be counterproductive, but Fang Zhaotian dismissed his concerns, emphasizing that to maintain his position as door owner, Tan Lin must be ruthless and ensure Xiao Xiao was eliminated, assuring him that his men would handle it without leaving any trace. One day, while Bai Haiyang and Wei Chu were jogging together, they spotted Fang Zhaotian’s men cornering Xiao Xiao.

Bai Haiyang rushed forward to rescue her, and Wei Chu quickly joined the fray, helping to fend off the attackers. Xiao Xiao, exhausted and gravely injured, collapsed into Bai Haiyang's arms. Bai Haiyang took Xiao Xiao back to his home to recover. Wei Chu arrived shortly after. He explained to Bai Haiyang that he and Piaopiao had found Xiao Xiao earlier and brought her to Doctor Chen, from whom she had escaped.

An agitated Xiao Xiao interrupted them, accusing Wei Chu of manipulation and framing him for her grandfather’s death, claiming he concealed her location to prevent Bai Haiyang from interfering. Piaopiao tried to defend Wei Chu, but Xiao Xiao, with a cold demeanor, reiterated her oath of revenge, declaring she would not rest until Wei Chu paid for her grandfather’s death. Wei Chu, maintaining his composure, stated that he had nothing to hide and acted with integrity.

He then warned Bai Haiyang that Xiao Xiao was a dangerous person, urging him to consider the consequences. Bai Haiyang, however, was resolute, declaring he would take responsibility for the person he saved and assured Wei Chu that Xiao Xiao would not harm him. Wei Chu then left. The next day, Piaopiao, having learned of Xiao Xiao’s whereabouts from Wei Chu, brought additional medicine to Bai Haiyang’s house. Bai Haiyang noted that Xiao Xiao still refused to speak.

Piaopiao entered Xiao Xiao’s room and offered the medicine, only for Xiao Xiao to violently strike it from her hand. Wei Chu, witnessing the rejection, led Piaopiao away, observing Xiao Xiao’s ungratefulness. Piaopiao, her hand stinging from the blow, asked Wei Chu if he hated Xiao Xiao and if there was a misunderstanding between them. Wei Chu reiterated that he would handle Xiao Xiao’s situation and would not harm her, nor would he allow Piaopiao to get involved further.
