When Su Mu arrived at his container house on Xing Yue Mountain, he was surprised to find it had been thoroughly tidied and redecorated. Tian Tian, startled by his presence, quickly explained that she had just "incidentally" helped him clean up. Su Mu, however, seemed somewhat displeased with the changes.
He questioned why she had placed a couch where a bookshelf should be, to which Tian Tian replied that work and rest should be balanced, and she had calculated the distance between the couch and the work table to be two meters so he could rest whenever tired. Su Mu also discovered that his old single bed had been thrown out, which Tian Tian explained was because it was damaged by water and too small to sleep comfortably.
Just then, a delivery person announced the arrival of a new double bed. Tian Tian awkwardly admitted she simply wanted him to sleep more comfortably. Su Mu transferred 20,000 yuan to Tian Tian for the renovation costs, but she refused to accept it, saying it was too much. Su Mu insisted it included labor costs, prompting Tian Tian to jokingly say she would do it herself then. She reiterated that she couldn't take his money.
Su Mu then asked what she wanted instead. Tian Tian paused, saying she didn't want anything. Su Mu then revealed he had changed the lock and handed her a set of keys, calmly indicating she now had access. Tian Tian began arranging small decorative items while Su Mu followed, meticulously straightening them. Once everything was set, Tian Tian felt hungry. Since Su Mu had no particular preference for food, Tian Tian ordered crayfish.
She ate heartily, but Su Mu found it too troublesome to eat. Just then, Dr. Gao arrived with a video for Tian Tian. He joined her in eating crayfish, and they chatted enthusiastically. Dr. Gao expressed his admiration for Tian Tian's aesthetic sense, particularly her paintings, and mentioned that he had once built a small hut for his late wife, who "went to heaven" after not staying for long. Tian Tian apologized for her insensitive question.
Dr. Gao asked Tian Tian to give him a tour. As Tian Tian showed him around, explaining her timeless design with black, white, and gray tones that suited Su Mu's "mugging face," Su Mu tried to present his design blueprints to Dr. Gao for feedback. However, Dr. Gao was too engrossed in touring the house and rooftop with Tian Tian, praising the excellent ventilation and the fact that it was surrounded by sea on three sides.
Dr. Gao expressed his fondness for the place and asked if he could visit Tian Tian often. Tian Tian readily agreed. To facilitate Su Mu's access to Dr. Gao, Su Mu interjected, claiming they lived together. Dr. Gao, pleased, said it would be easier then and that he could visit often. Dr. Gao was about to leave without looking at Su Mu's blueprints, suggesting they discuss it in the evening.
After seeing Dr. Gao off, Tian Tian realized Su Mu wanted Dr. Gao's help, and she had readily agreed to facilitate it. Tian Tian remarked to Su Mu that Dr. Gao was a nice man and assured him she could help him get things done this evening since their relationship was good. Su Mu then suggested that Tian Tian live there from now on, saying half of the house belonged to her and she could come to paint anytime.
Tian Tian, thinking this would allow her to understand him better, agreed. Soon after, Tian Tian received a call from her parents. She told Su Mu she was almost done and had to leave first, instructing him to freeze the leftover crayfish so she could finish them later. On her way home, Tian Tian pondered why she had agreed to Su Mu's proposal again and how she would explain moving out to her parents.
She considered fabricating a story but ultimately decided to tell them the truth. However, upon arriving home, she found her parents sitting gravely on the sofa, seemingly ready for a serious discussion. Tian Tian's father revealed that he had "accidentally grabbed two more travel tickets" for a trip to Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand, and they had to leave that very night, with their luggage already packed. Tian Tian, barely concealing her delight, playfully scolded her parents for their frequent travels.
Her parents, sensing they might have been too neglectful by never including her, promised to make an exception next time, while still hurrying to catch their flight. Tian Tian quickly packed her belongings and moved into Su Mu's container house. She even took good liquor from her father's wine cabinet that he was reluctant to drink. Dr. Gao had not yet arrived, and Su Mu was still busy with work.
As Tian Tian wandered, she saw pictures taken by the drone that day on Su Mu's computer. Finding them "particularly ugly," she insisted he delete them all. Among them was a photo of Su Mu shielding her from the drone. Tian Tian tried to save it, but Su Mu deleted it along with the others. Later, as Su Mu continued working, he glanced over to see Tian Tian had fallen asleep.
Feeling tired himself, he leaned his head on the table and soon drifted off to sleep. Tian Tian woke up and saw Su Mu asleep at the table. She crept closer and whispered into his ear, "I… kind… of… like you." Su Mu was then startled awake by his phone ringing, which also startled Tian Tian. Seeing it was late and Dr. Gao hadn't arrived, Su Mu told Tian Tian it was time for her to go home.
Tian Tian, feigning annoyance, slung her bag over her shoulder and began to leave. Su Mu called out to her, and she initially thought he would ask her to stay, but he instead offered to drive her home. Upon arriving at her house, Su Mu heard Tian Tian explain that her parents were on vacation, and she was home alone. Hearing this, Su Mu invited her to have breakfast with him the next morning, to which she distractedly agreed.
The next day, Tian Tian woke up expecting Su Mu to still be asleep, but he was already waiting for her, urging her to hurry. After Tian Tian quickly got ready, they headed out, with Su Mu on his motorbike and Tian Tian on her bicycle, playfully racing each other. Tian Tian had expected Su Mu to cook a delicious breakfast, but he instead presented her with instant bread and yogurt.
Disappointed, Tian Tian drank her yogurt, later getting paint on her face while drawing. Su Mu noticed and offered to wipe the "dirt" off, but instead, he mischievously drew more paint on her other cheek. Unaware of his prank, Tian Tian innocently thanked him. Tian Tian then asked Su Mu to make her some ice cream. Su Mu was a bit surprised, but still proceeded to make the ice cream.
