He confronted Mei Weiwei, demanding to know what she had done to him and insisting she return his voice to normal. Mei Weiwei, though finding his new voice amusing, initially suggested it was due to training pressure and inflammation. Mai Sichong dismissed her explanation, reminding her that his voice only changed after she kissed him.
Ultimately, Mei Weiwei agreed to take responsibility for him, promising to be with him all day, but asked him to stop talking. Meanwhile, Li Daixi confronted Ding Yi, asking why they were following her. Ding Yi claimed they were just there to buy something, which led Li Daixi to comment on their unexpected needs. Mai Sichong, also present, felt embarrassed by his feminine voice, wondering if he appeared as a woman needing a razor.
Mai Sichong and Mei Weiwei then quietly entered a classroom. She also questioned Peng Pai's presence at the university, having heard he was abroad, and asked why he had changed his name, which created an awkward atmosphere due to their shared past. Peng Pai invited her to a senior dinner party, mentioning a senior who had transferred her major would be there. Mei Weiwei declined, stating she had other plans. Back at the dormitory, Mei Weiwei found Li Daixi packing her bags. Li Daixi angrily accused Mei Weiwei of repeatedly hiding things from her, mistakenly believing Mei Weiwei liked Mai Sichong. Mei Weiwei vehemently denied this, saying she would be crazy to like him. Li Daixi then brought up Peng Pai, suggesting Mei Weiwei flirt with him as well. Mei Weiwei became furious, and despite Li Daixi's subsequent regret for her words, Li Daixi stormed out of the dormitory.
Left alone, Mei Weiwei angrily hung up Mai Sichong's phone call after he insisted she couldn't abandon him, reminding her of her promise to take care of him. Mai Sichong unexpectedly followed Mei Weiwei to the library. There, Mei Weiwei was discussing with the class monitor about forming a massage club to earn extra credits, which required ten members. Mei Weiwei agreed to join the club, making them two members, and eagerly suggested they start a survey immediately.
The class monitor, who had just borrowed a rare copy of the "Inner Canon of Huangdi", hesitated. Mai Sichong, feeling ignored, impatiently pulled Mei Weiwei away, interrupting her plans. Mai Sichong, who had been waiting for Mei Weiwei with a tricycle full of flowers, received information from Ding Yi regarding Mei Weiwei being with Peng Pai, which enraged him. Convinced Mei Weiwei was with Peng Pai as if they were a sweet couple, Mai Sichong stormed over to their gathering, angrily confronted Mei Weiwei for breaking their "appointment," and forcefully dragged her away, apologizing to the other seniors.
Peng Pai tried to intervene, telling Mai Sichong to let go of Mei Weiwei. Mai Sichong led her to his "surprise"—a tricycle filled with flowers. Stunned by the grand display and sudden public confession, Mei Weiwei backed away. Her heart pounded faster, and a strange current from her palms climbed the stone wall behind her. One by one, the decorative lights of the power-cut square flickered on, brilliantly illuminating the area. Mai Sichong, overwhelmed, found himself lost in the golden glow.
