When Zhao Zhen was taking a walk alone, he accidentally bumped into Dong Qiuhe, who was feeling wronged and sad. Zhao Zhen cared for her and asked her what was wrong.
Dong Qiuhe told him the reason. Zhao Zhen found it strange that Dong Qiuhe didn't show any disappointment at losing the Si Shi competition, so what competition would make her feel so wronged that she secretly hid and cried? Dong Qiuhe then told Zhao Zhen the details of the fragrance competition that afternoon.
Zhao Zhen comforted Dong Qiuhe, saying that Zhang Bihan's Gezhongxiang won because of its creativity, while Dong Qiuhe, born into a family of perfumers, naturally found it difficult to break away from conventional routines. After class, Zhao Huirou excitedly ran to the Kunning Palace with Shi Jie's eulogy to share it with Cao Danshu. Shi Jie wrote about Xia Song being demoted. Zhao Huirou felt that Xia Song and Instructor Jia were close, so he must not be a good person either. She was very happy that Xia Song was leaving the capital. Cao Danshu told Zhao Huirou not to make wild remarks.
Zhao Huirou directly said that she didn't like Zhang Bihan and that she wasn't afraid of Zhang Bihan. When Zhao Zhen was slightly drunk, he pulled Cao Danshu into his arms and talked about the problem of reforming the bureaucracy.
