Zhang Sinian and Yun Shu “fall in love” in three days of knowing each other, “married” in a month, of course, at the beginning of all is a fake play.
Yun Shu is a senior student, Zhang Sinian is a visiting professor, young but very successful and handsome, want to do everything perfectly, including order coffee in the cafe, how much water temperature, what milk. In life, he uses data to convince others.

Yun Shu, 22 years old, is a laid-back and sunny “Miss Easygoing” majoring in statistics. After dating Zhang Sinian for just one month, she stepped into marriage. Professor Zhang Sinian is a cold, ascetic, perfectionist man with obsessive-compulsive tendencies. The speed of their relationship development would understandably make people suspect it to be a love scam, but the truth behind their story is far more complicated.
At a café, Yun Shu was comforting her senior who had recently suffered a breakup. Just as she reached for her coffee, it slipped from her hand. In her nervous fluster, she accidentally stepped on Zhang Sinian, who was standing in line behind her to buy a latte. It was the first time Yun Shu had ever seen such a perfect man, but she didn’t expect him to be so indifferent.
He wasn’t the least bit polite, which made Yun Shu so angry she wanted to hit him. Holding a sheet with detailed latte-making instructions, Zhang Sinian asked Yun Shu’s senior to help him prepare the drink. Back at the dorm, Yun Shu complained about Zhang Sinian to Gao Zhiyi and warned her not to get a crush on him because he was completely uninterested in romance. Borrowing two new outfits from Gao Zhiyi, Yun Shu went for a job interview. Faced with questions from the interviewer, she felt utterly unconfident. The interviewer thought she had no chance. Feeling discouraged, Yun Shu muttered to herself in the restroom, where she happened to meet the company director.
When the director accidentally got a stain on her clothes, Yun Shu quickly drew a pattern over the stain to resolve the awkwardness. This quick thinking earned her the job. Yun Shu’s older sister called and asked her to handle a fund issue the next day. While dealing with it, Yun Shu coincidentally ran into Zhang Sinian again. Seeing her confused expression, he analyzed the pros and cons of the fund package and suggested she invest in real estate.
Perhaps moved by his suggestion, Yun Shu consulted her cousin, a real estate advisor, about buying a property. Yun Shu quickly found an excuse and fled. After calming down a bit outside, Yun Shu returned. Zhang Sinian showed her all his property purchase documents, and Yun Shu also showed him hers.
After understanding the situation, Zhang Sinian told Yun Shu that she might have been scammed. But Yun Shu didn’t believe it, insisting that her cousin would never deceive her. Zhang Sinian asked Yun Shu to delete the photos on her phone and explained that she had been able to open the door earlier because it was a construction key. He then told Yun Shu to go find her cousin, Lei Ting.

Gao Zhiyi tried to plead with the supervisor, but the supervisor was firm. Helpless, Yun Shu had no choice but to say she would move out immediately.
After packing her things, Gao Zhiyi took Yun Shu to find Lin Nuo. Lin Nuo planned to let Yun Shu temporarily stay in an empty bed at the hospital. Just then, Gao Zhiyi’s boyfriend called, and that’s how Yun Shu and Lin Nuo found out she was dating someone. Gao Zhiyi’s boyfriend was their senior, Qiqi. Lin Nuo, realizing that Gao Zhiyi had a new boyfriend again, couldn’t help but feel a little jealous.

Episode 3 Recap
Yun Shu originally wanted to refuse Zhang Sinian. After all, pretending to be his girlfriend was a bit too outrageous. But when she saw the grandfather being wheeled into the hospital bed was the same old man she met in the garden that morning, she stepped forward and willingly lent a hand. After the grandfather entered the operating room, Zhang Sinian waited outside anxiously and restlessly.
Yun Shu brought him a cup of coffee and told him that having something was better than nothing. As the surgery inside was being carried out nervously, time outside seemed to crawl unbearably slowly. Yun Shu handed Zhang Sinian a Sudoku puzzle to keep him occupied and help ease the tense atmosphere. Yun Shu comforted Zhang Sinian, assuring him that his grandfather would be fine.
She also explained that she was staying at the hospital for the night and just happened to come across his grandfather's situation. Zhang Sinian asked if she had found a place to rent during this time. Yun Shu told him that all her money had gone into buying a house, and since her sister was currently abroad, everything would be resolved once she found a job. Zhang Sinian sincerely apologized for canceling Yun Shu's graduation defense.
Yun Shu accepted his apology, admitting that while she was angry, she did bear some responsibility as well. After learning that the surgery had gone smoothly, Yun Shu left early. Zhang Sinian chased after her and, as a gesture of gratitude, invited her to stay at his place for a month and gave her the door code. Shortly after, Zhang Sinian texted her, telling her the password was the first ten digits of the Feigenbaum constant, and said she could stay at his home until she found a place. When Yun Shu entered the apartment, she found it extremely neat and organized. After all the detours, she unexpectedly ended up staying here—Professor Zhang had “picked her up off the streets.” If her sister found out, she’d definitely kill her. Suddenly, the doorbell rang.
When the delivery guy saw Yun Shu opening the door, he casually called her “sister-in-law.” Yun Shu had no choice but to sign the receipt under that name. Out of kindness, she helped Zhang Sinian arrange all the photos in the package and tidied up. Afterward, she sat on the sofa to draw and soon fell asleep there. He rushed to retrieve it, but just then Yun Shu woke up and headbutted him, causing a nosebleed. Zhang Sinian quickly turned away and dealt with the emergency. At that moment, Yun Shu’s sister called to check on the new house.
Yun Shu hastily made up an excuse and ended the video call. After the call, Zhang Sinian explained some house rules for the stay. He offered the study room as her bedroom. Yun Shu wanted to express her gratitude but explained that she had no money. However, she could do some household chores in return. The next morning, Zhang Sinian got up early to wash up, while Yun Shu hurriedly got out of bed and clumsily made a terrible breakfast.
Zhang Sinian couldn’t stand it anymore and offered to handle it himself. Yun Shu watched in awe as Zhang Sinian expertly prepared a flawless breakfast. Once it was done, the always-scheduled Zhang Sinian skipped his own breakfast time and left the meal for Yun Shu. Meanwhile, Yun Shu went to a real estate agency to look for a suitable place to live. But with only a little over a thousand yuan in her pocket, she had to temporarily give up and asked the agent to keep an eye out for listings. When Zhang Sinian learned that his grandfather was emotionally unstable, he rushed to the hospital. Upon arrival, he found that once Yun Shu showed up, his grandfather calmed down.
Yun Shu took care of the grandfather skillfully. The grandfather asked her about her background and learned that she had previously cared for her own father for over six months. In Zhang Sinian's car, Yun Shu finally learned that the request her grandfather had mentioned was for her to marry Zhang Sinian. Yun Shu found this utterly ridiculous. She had a strange feeling that Zhang Sinian was trying to trick her. Upon hearing this, Zhang Sinian was clearly displeased and remarked that it was a pity Yun Shu wasn’t a screenwriter. Still, he said he would handle the matter properly.
Yun Shu explained that she had agreed to her grandfather’s request only because of the circumstances at the time and that she merely wanted to comfort him. Some time later, Yun Shu visited her grandfather in the hospital again, intending to confess the truth about her relationship with Zhang Sinian. But to her surprise, she found several people sitting in his hospital room.
Her grandfather told her that those people were all ungrateful and that he didn’t want to deal with them — they only came to him when they needed money. Just as Yun Shu was about to come clean to Grandpa Zhang, he noticed something was off and deliberately declared in front of everyone that Yun Shu was Zhang Sinian’s fiancée. This way, all the problems they were currently facing could be easily resolved. Zhang Sinian analyzed their current difficulties with Yun Shu and said that as long as she agreed to marry him, he could transfer the house to her.
Upon hearing this, Yun Shu frowned and said she had never imagined her marriage would be like this. Besides, she hadn’t even been in a relationship yet. However, she would still be there for Grandpa whenever Zhang Sinian needed her. Yun Shu told Gao Zhiyi and Lin Nuo about this. Lin Nuo thought it was a huge scandal, while Gao Zhiyi thought it was actually a good idea. The two of them got into an argument over it.

Yun Lan later found Yun Shu’s overnight expulsion certificate in the laundry basket and angrily confronted her. She couldn’t understand how someone as smart as herself could have such a foolish younger sister.
Zhang Sinian overheard their conversation and stepped in to defend Yun Shu, promising Yun Lan that he would take responsibility for everything concerning Yun Shu for the next year. After being "force-fed dog food" by the two, Yun Lan decided to move out but warned Yun Shu that she must inform her before making any big decisions next time.
Yun Shu went to the sanitation station and found that Professor Zhang was already helping her look for Five-Thousand and had gotten his clothes all dirty. On their way home, they saw that the younger sister riding the scooter had Five-Thousand hanging from the handlebars. The little girl refused to give the rabbit back no matter what. Helpless, Zhang Sinian resorted to trickery and took Five-Thousand back. Because of Five-Thousand, Zhang Sinian realized his previous calculations had been wrong. Seeing how kind Zhang Sinian had been to her lately, Yun Shu suddenly changed her mind and said she was willing to help him fulfill his grandfather’s wish.

Zhang Sinian clearly explained to Yun Shu that their marriage was a contractual one. Yun Shu didn’t want to accept the house Zhang Sinian offered because of it, but Zhang Sinian insisted it was part of the arrangement. In the end, Yun Shu couldn’t argue her way out and signed the marriage contract. Both Zhang Sinian and Yun Shu decided not to hold a wedding ceremony, but Grandpa Zhang strongly objected.
Eventually, because of his grandfather, Zhang Sinian changed his mind at the last minute and decided they would have a wedding. On the way, Zhang Sinian informed Yun Shu of his decision, saying that holding a wedding would minimize losses for both of them and keep Grandpa from becoming suspicious of their relationship. He decided the wedding would be held next weekend and told Yun Shu to find a wedding planning company.
Zhang Sinian seemed to have everything arranged, leaving Yun Shu with no chance to speak. She felt torn about how to tell her older sister about her decision. Yun Shu informed Yun Lan about the wedding. Though Yun Lan felt it was a bit rushed, she still respected Yun Shu’s decision and insisted on being the maid of honor, which finally put Yun Shu at ease.
After getting overwhelmed picking out wedding planners, Yun Shu asked Zhang Sinian to help choose. Unexpectedly, Zhang Sinian accidentally touched Yun Shu’s hand, and both of them felt a strange electric jolt. To stick to the spirit of their contract, Zhang Sinian fined himself and dropped the money into a jar, leaving Yun Shu bewildered and stressed out in front of the wedding planning company. Yun Shu went to the wedding planner to discuss the arrangements.
She had always longed for true love and remembered her childhood dream of getting married in a church. But because of Zhang Sinian, she considered a simpler wedding. In her panic, Yun Shu accidentally handed over the marriage contract to her sister. Yun Shu then suggested they remove the daily contact clause from the contract, since she was too clumsy. Zhang Sinian took Yun Shu downstairs to rehearse for the wedding. Torn between her grandfather and her sister, Yun Shu didn’t want to give up on either. She decided to talk to Yun Lan again, but Yun Lan outright refused to allow her to proceed with the contract marriage with Zhang Sinian, even threatening to sever their sisterly bond. After returning to Zhang Sinian’s house, Yun Shu received a call from Grandpa Zhang, asking what color dress she had chosen for the wedding.

During the time they lived together, Yun Shu was utterly infatuated with Zhang Sinian’s every move, constantly staring at him with a silly smile.
Zhang Sinian, however, remained completely oblivious and kept making her do exercises—more exercises, and then even more. One day, Zhang Sinian suddenly asked Yun Shu to change clothes and follow him to school. It turned out he felt she hadn’t mastered the material and wanted her to audit the class. Yun Shu seemed a bit embarrassed and told Zhang Sinian to go ahead first, saying she’d join later once she knew the classroom number.
When Yun Shu arrived and asked for a seat, a girl deliberately said the spot was taken. Left with no choice, Yun Shu sat in the back. Zhang Sinian saw this happen and, before class began, asked the girl to move her bag and give the seat to Yun Shu. After class, Zhang Sinian reminded Yun Shu not to space out and to focus more during lectures.
At lunchtime, Yun Shu ran to the school cafeteria, but Zhang Sinian called her away and personally ordered food for her—dishes she didn’t like at all. As Zhang Sinian kept insisting she eat, Yun Shu had no choice but to lower her head and force down the food. At one point, a grain of rice stuck to her face.
Zhang Sinian picked it off with his chopsticks, and Yun Shu opened her mouth and ate it right away, leaving Zhang Sinian thoroughly embarrassed. Later, Yun Shu told Gao Zhiyi about going to school to sit in on lectures. Gao Zhiyi teased that she could smell the sourness of love, and Yun Shu admitted she might be falling for Zhang Sinian. If she didn’t move out, she would stay stuck in that emotional state, which would affect both her and Zhang Sinian. Gao Zhiyi could tell how much Yun Shu cared, and when she heard Yun Shu hadn’t eaten, she dragged her off to get food. While the two were browsing the supermarket, Yun Shu was drawn by a job advertisement—specifically the part about food and lodging being provided.
In a rush to move in, Yun Shu immediately spoke with the supermarket’s interviewer. Though the job had a low base salary, at least it solved her accommodation issue. Upon hearing this, Grandpa Zhang immediately comforted her, telling her to believe in herself—there’s always a reason someone chooses another person, even if neither party realizes it yet. Encouraged by his words, Yun Shu quickly regained her courage. At that moment, Grandpa asked Yun Shu for a small favor, and she readily agreed.
Zhang Sinian was about to send a WeChat message to Yun Shu to ask how her job was going, but he deleted the message right after typing it. Just then, he received a text from Grandpa asking him to come to the hospital. Yun Shu followed the address Grandpa had given and arrived at a seaside villa. Then Zhang Sinian unexpectedly told Yun Shu that they didn’t need to force the nature of their relationship. Hearing this made Yun Shu especially happy, and she fell asleep peacefully. Lu Yu came knocking on Yun Lan’s door again. Seeing his flushed face, she got an ice pack for him.
Finding out that he had a bit of a fever, she personally made him ginger tea. When Lu Yu asked to stay at her place, Yun Lan didn’t refuse, but she sternly warned him not to enter her room—or she’d kick him.
