Overdo is a romance drama directed by Yi Jun, written by Luo Junyue, Yang Siting, and Liu Yuxi, led by Zhang Linghe and Wang Churan, co-starring Fu Xinbo, Myolie Wu.
Adapted from Fei Wo Si Cun's novel "Ru Guo Zhe Yi Miao, Wo Mei Yu Jian Ni (如果这一秒，我没遇见你)", the story is set in Republican-era Shanghai. It follows the youngest son of a warlord, Murong Qingyi, who suffers abuse from his adoptive father after being switched at birth. As a teenager fleeing his circumstances, he is rescued by Ren Susu, an act that inadvertently leads to the destruction of her family. When they reunite years later, mutual affection develops between them. To save others, Ren Susu fakes her death and escapes, assuming the alias "Fang Mulan" while hiding in Southeast Asia. Three years later, she returns as Murong Qingyi's prospective sister-in-law. Ultimately, they join forces amidst their tangled love and hatred to confront national crises together.

Synopsis
In Republican-era Shanghai, the warlord's youngest son Murong Qingyi suffered abuse from his adoptive father due to a mistaken identity. As a teenager, he escaped and was rescued by Ren Susu, only to bring catastrophic ruin upon her family.
