Ye Hai, determined to uphold Han Hai's principles, informed his brother that he would not sponsor the Poseidon project. He then left abruptly, instructing Duan Xiche to detain the project's Japanese object exploration devices that were arriving at the harbor, ensuring they would not be unloaded.
Meanwhile, back at the lab, Zhou Miaomiao mockingly told An Fei that Liu Lan had divorced and returned to assist Mo Liang, implying that this was the true definition of a business partner, which left An Fei feeling disheartened. Soon after, Liu Lan reported to Mo Liang that parts of their project data had been corrupted, resulting in significant material loss. A stunned Mo Liang ordered an investigation into everyone who had accessed the data center during that period.
The surveillance cameras revealed that only Ye Hai had entered the facility. Although Liu Lan found it awkward to investigate Ye Hai, Mo Liang insisted that everyone, regardless of identity, must be thoroughly examined. Concerned about the detained equipment, Mo Liang and Liu Lan rushed to the harbor. However, en route, they received news that Ye Hai had seized all the ships and refused to allow any unloading.
Realizing their trip to the harbor would be fruitless, they returned to the laboratory, only to find Zhou Miaomiao and other colleagues confronting An Fei. They accused An Fei of colluding with Ye Hai, alleging that she had helped him delete data and orchestrated the detention of their equipment, making Ye Hai's actions her fault. Annoyed, An Fei dismissed their accusations. Meanwhile, Lin Huayin, distressed by Ye Hai's actions, frantically tried to call him but her calls went unanswered.
An Fei, convinced that Ye Hai was responsible for the data loss and equipment seizure, confronted him. She accused him of pretending to like her merely to gain access to the lab and utilize her. Ye Hai, however, maintained that his feelings for her were genuine. He explained that he had discovered issues with the project's safety plan, which was why he withdrew his investment.
He revealed that thirteen years prior, Han Hai had an identical safety plan that his grandfather had halted due to its incompleteness, which was followed by his parents' tragic maritime accident. Ye Hai asserted he could not allow history to repeat itself. He clarified that when he entered the data center, the data had already been vandalized. An Fei struggled to understand, pointing out that thirteen years had passed, and Ye Hai shouldn't oppose everyone based on unproven speculation.
As their argument grew heated, they accidentally fell from a high point. Upon impact, Ye Hai transformed into Poseidon, which terrified An Fei. She pushed him away, vehemently denying she was Amphitrite, and quickly fled. Poseidon remained in Ye Hai's body, seeking out a quiet establishment for a drink, as he detested the clamor of the human world. News of Han Hai detaining the equipment quickly became public. Unable to locate Ye Hai, a furious Lin Huayin approached Ye Tian.
She suggested that using high-frequency sonar would allow the project to continue, despite its highly destructive nature. Prioritizing profits, Ye Tian immediately agreed to implement the high-frequency sonar. Elsewhere, An Fei and Duan Xiche were searching for Ye Hai. During their search, An Fei nearly suffered injury from falling debris while trying to rescue a small boy, but Poseidon, still possessing Ye Hai, intervened and saved her.
Poseidon, residing in Ye Hai's body, then instructed An Fei to take him to Ye Hai's old family home. There, he began recounting stories of the Sea God and Sea Queen, attempting to jog An Fei's memory, but she remained perplexed by his intentions. Later, Ye Tian compelled Duan Xiche to call An Fei, asking her to relay a message to Ye Hai: the Poseidon project was about to proceed using high-frequency sonar.
An Fei expressed her disbelief, certain that Mo Liang would not endorse such a destructive plan. She then urged Poseidon to leave Ye Hai's body, but he stubbornly refused, leading to an acrimonious parting between them. Wandering the old house, Poseidon sought the location of the Lu Mu Stone. Learning from a news report that the largest Lu Mu Stone was housed in Santorini, Greece, he promptly booked two tickets for Athens, planning to fly there with An Fei.
Meanwhile, An Fei rushed back to the laboratory, condemning the team for resorting to high-frequency sonar. Mo Liang offered no definitive answer, stating only that An Fei was not the only one who could assist him. An Fei did not object to traveling to Greece, determined to bring the real Ye Hai back. Thus, An Fei and Poseidon arrived at a Greek temple.
Poseidon, lost in reverie, confessed to An Fei that he had fallen in love with her the first time they met, but accused her of taking his trident and the Lu Mu Stone. An Fei, frustrated, suspected Poseidon was mentally unwell. Later, while checking into a hotel, Poseidon insisted on booking a single suite, and An Fei, with no other option, reluctantly agreed. In the hotel, An Fei made a video call to Duan Xiche.
To her surprise, Lin Huayin was next to Duan Xiche and, upon seeing Ye Hai in the video, erupted in anger, accusing them of a tryst. Poseidon, irritated by the noise, snatched the phone and tossed it into the water, ending the call. Amidst this turmoil, the real Ye Hai momentarily returned. He angrily confronted his reflection, which showed Poseidon, when An Fei suddenly appeared and hit Ye Hai with a bottle, rendering him unconscious.
