My Poseidon Episode 4 Recap

> My Poseidon Recap

Ye Hai, still puzzled by his persistent thirst and the bizarre transformations he experiences, consults his psychologist. He recounts how his symptoms began after he met An Fei and describes a disembodied voice warning him to "stay away from her." The doctor, familiar with patients exhibiting delusions, suggests that a subconscious activation due to childhood experiences might be at play, a possibility Ye Hai acknowledges but needs to verify. The doctor recommends tranquilizers and family accompaniment, praising Ye Hai's rationality.

An Fei arrives at the swimming pool, where she unexpectedly encounters Ye Hai emerging from the water. Despite her internal monologue reminding herself that he is not her type and that she likes someone else, she cannot help but find him handsome. Ye Hai explains that his doctor believes only she can help him overcome his hydrophobia, which intensified after their incident in the sea in Greece.

He asks her to teach him scuba diving, offering her exclusive use of the pool. An Fei agrees, helps him with his equipment, and playfully kicks him into the water to start the lesson. During their lesson, An Fei guides Ye Hai through basic diving exercises, attempting to soothe his fears with descriptions of the tranquil deep sea. However, as Ye Hai submerges, he becomes visibly agitated, reliving the moment he saved An Fei.

The same disembodied voice commands him, "Stay away from her." Overwhelmed, Ye Hai struggles out of the water, prompting An Fei to deduce that his extreme stress is causing these illusions. Meanwhile, Mo Liang and Liu Lan share a celebratory dinner. Liu Lan remarks on Ye Hai's unpredictable behavior at the recent ceremony. Mo Liang, however, is more concerned with Liu Lan's three-year disappearance.

Liu Lan explains that she left due to a painful experimental failure, feeling her efforts had been forgotten. She went to Beijing, where she met her college tutor. Finding a sense of peace with him, believing she no longer needed to prove herself, she married him, a revelation that leaves Mo Liang visibly disheartened. Back at the lab, An Fei begins the underwater physical assessment for her assistant qualification.

Zhu Miaomiao, expressing clear animosity towards An Fei, confronts her with veiled insults. As An Fei dives, the weather suddenly turns severe, developing into a violent storm that prevents any rescue attempts. Witnessing An Fei's perilous situation from the shore, Ye Hai impulsively leaps into the treacherous waters without any diving equipment. He reaches her deep underwater, saves her, and kisses her. After bringing the unconscious An Fei back to the shore, he attempts to kiss her again.

An Fei regains consciousness at that precise moment and, seeing him so close, pushes him away, bewildered. Ye Hai himself is equally confused, having no memory of his impulsive act. Determined to understand his bizarre episodes, Ye Hai instructs his assistant, Duan Xiche, to install surveillance cameras throughout his house. Later, while looking at his fish tank, he sees An Fei's reflection, reaches out to touch it, and is inexplicably drawn in.

The installed cameras record him, shirtless in his bathtub, appearing to be a different person. He issues a commanding order to "Leto," the Dark Goddess, to "leave now," followed by strange, gesticulating movements. Upon reviewing the footage, Ye Hai is horrified, asking "Is this still me? So sick." He attempts to rationalize his presence in the tub by claiming he was testing a newly installed "sensing shower system."

The next morning, An Fei accidentally cuts her finger, and her blood drips onto a piece of mica. Paying it no mind, she proceeds to the Poseidon Lab, ready to begin her new role. There, Liu Lan addresses the new cohort of assistants, introducing herself as a project manager. She emphasizes responsibility and hard work in their scientific pursuits, highlighting the lab's mission to harness the ocean's energy to combat natural disasters, and names Zhu Miaomiao as their team leader.

Meanwhile, Ye Hai is in his shower, desperately trying to understand what is happening to him. At lunch, Mo Liang invites An Fei to join him and Liu Lan. An Fei recognizes Liu Lan from a previous institute meeting. After Liu Lan is called away for work, Mo Liang questions An Fei about her apparent lack of memory regarding Liu Lan from their time in Japan. An Fei blames her poor memory.

Mo Liang then casually mentions that Liu Lan is married, explaining that many women return home after marriage, leading An Fei to secretly smile. Ye Hai continues to seek An Fei, following her to the library where she is attending a class. He interrupts her, insisting she teach him scuba diving again, which she declines. He then begins to talk about the origin of the Atlantic Ocean, drawing from ancient texts about Atlans, Promisis, and the mythical city of Atlantis.

As rain begins to fall outside, Ye Hai's demeanor changes drastically. He speaks of Atlantis as a place accessible only to the smartest creatures. Noticing An Fei's bewildered expression, he becomes furious and slams his hand on a bookshelf, causing books to tumble down and strike An Fei on the head, injuring her. Duan Xiche arrives to pick up Ye Hai, who expresses distress over injuring An Fei, fearing her anger. He blames his alternate self for the incident.

To prevent further unpredictable behavior, Ye Hai instructs Duan Xiche to change all the passwords at his house and to accompany him twenty-four hours a day whenever he leaves home. An Fei, now sporting a band-aid, complains to her friend that the incident was not an accident but that Ye Hai "cursed me." Her friend tries to console her, assuring her there will be no scar and she still looks beautiful, but An Fei still sees him as "bad luck." She cryptically announces her intention to "do something big" before dismissing her friend, who remarks on An Fei's seemingly "psychopath" behavior.
