My Poseidon Episode 28 Recap
> My Poseidon Recap
An Fei, distraught and overwhelmed with worry over her father's missing ship, returned home to find Ye Hai waiting anxiously. She received a call from her mother, An Mu, and angrily accused her of being indifferent to her father's fate, claiming An Mu only cared about enjoying her life with Uncle Liu. An Fei tearfully hung up, then collapsed into Ye Hai's arms, expressing how scared she was with her father lost and her mother seemingly abandoning her.
She mentioned trying to call Ye Hai but his phone had been busy. Ye Hai comforted her, promising her father would return, and gave her a Dong Ling jade as a token of trust, suggesting they make a bet that if her father returned and the island was borrowed, he would be "owned twice" by her. He also assured her that she was the most important person in the world.
Meanwhile, Mo Liang, who had been working tirelessly, explained to Liu Lan that his recent delay was due to family matters, which were also An Fei's matters. Liu Lan, feeling a pang of jealousy and discomfort, pressed him about the exact nature of his relationship with An Fei. Mo Liang, wanting to avoid an argument, refused to discuss it further, stating he just wanted to leave no regrets in the last moments of his life.
Secretly, Liu Lan's jealousy led her to maliciously change An Fei's status from assistant researcher to intern on the personnel list for the upcoming sea expedition. When Kang Hao discovered An Fei's demotion, he and his colleagues in the Contingency Planning department rallied in support, vowing to complete their project as a surprise for her. Kang Hao called An Fei to offer comfort, noting her unwell voice, and urged her to rest without worrying about the project's progress.
As An Fei was thanking everyone for their support, Ye Hai entered her room with medicine. He asked who she was talking to, then insisted she take her medicine, causing her to abruptly hang up the phone. An Fei initially resisted taking the medicine, wishing to stay sick so she wouldn't have to care about anything.
Ye Hai gently made her take it, reminding her that she was incredibly important to him, in contrast to her feeling that everyone else ignored her and that bad things happened when people left. Later that evening, An Fei found solace in Ye Hai’s embrace and fell asleep. Upon waking, her stomach growled, and she asked Ye Hai to cook.
Though he confidently headed to the kitchen, his attempt at making porridge was unsuccessful, prompting An Fei to jokingly ask if it was rice. Despite the poor culinary outcome, An Fei appreciated his effort. She then remembered her father's knitted dolphin doll was missing and expressed her fear that if she didn't find it, her father wouldn't return. Ye Hai, stopping her from searching herself, promised to find it, just as he vowed her father would return.
He searched the living room and eventually found the small, blue dolphin under a sofa cushion. He placed it beside the sleeping An Fei, content that she wouldn't cry again. At the same time, news reports warned of the typhoon's escalating intensity, putting the missing ships in even greater peril. Ye Hai, determined to ease An Fei's worry, secretly decided to launch a rescue mission himself and instructed Duan Xiche to prepare the best possible rescue equipment.
In another development, Jiang Zhi ordered his men to track Ye Hai, clearly intending him harm. Concurrently, an assistant named A Fei asked Ye Tian if they should disclose Ye Hai's metal illness medical records to the board. Ye Tian dismissed the idea, prioritizing the success of the Poseidon experiment now that the island had been secured. Soon after, Lin Huayin arrived, representing the Mu Sen Group, to discuss the energy exploitation application process with Ye Tian.
Dressed smartly, she impressed Ye Tian by having already prepared all the necessary documents and proofs, requiring only Han Hai's relevant files. Ye Tian, charmed by her earnestness, promised cooperation. Leaving Han Hai, Lin Huayin called Liu Lan, urging her to expedite their work and to send the experiment's contingency plan. Liu Lan confirmed An Fei was responsible for the plan and assured Lin Huayin she would handle it, despite Lin Huayin questioning An Fei's reliability.
Liu Lan then called Zhu Miao Miao to her office, where Zhu Miao Miao expressed her dissatisfaction with Liu Lan's arrogant behavior. The following morning, An Fei woke up to discover Ye Hai was gone. Her mother, An Mu, had arrived overnight. An Fei, still emotional, confronted her mother, reiterating her earlier accusations of indifference towards her father.
An Mu apologized sincerely, comforting her daughter and promising to stay by her side, assuring her that her father would return and that she would no longer leave to travel around. Downstairs, while An Mu and Zhang Ayi were preparing food, Zhang Ayi casually mentioned An Fei having a boyfriend, Ye Hai, who lived upstairs.
An Mu was astonished, initially refusing to believe her daughter, whom she described as a lifelong singleton only interested in geology books, could be in a relationship, especially one that involved living under the same roof. Just as An Mu was about to confront An Fei, Mo Liang called with the joyful news that An Fei's father and his own father had been found and were at the hospital for check-ups.
An Fei, ecstatic, confirmed her mother was with her and that Mo Liang would pick them up for the hospital. An Mu was finally convinced of An Fei's relationship when her daughter came downstairs specifically asking Zhang Ayi for Ye Hai's whereabouts. An Fei, with her mother, rushed to the hospital.
Unbeknownst to them, Ye Hai had been the one to rescue the crew, and was also hospitalized with nitrogen bubbles, a common occurrence after diving, though he had narrowly avoided decompression sickness. Upon learning that An Fei's father was in the same hospital, Ye Hai, despite his own condition, went to see An Fei without wanting her to know about his injuries. An Fei was delighted to see him, and they went to the hospital park.
While they were there, Mo Liang called An Fei to check on her, and An Fei, immersed in the good news, spoke animatedly on the phone for a long time. Ye Hai, growing visibly irritated by her prolonged conversation and not wanting her to worry about him, played a game on his phone. An Fei, noticing his distant demeanor, playfully asked if he had "gone out to play" again, referencing a previous instance when she couldn't contact him.
Feeling unwell, Ye Hai told her she should go back to her parents and Mo Liang, attempting to leave. An Fei, however, wrapped her arms around him, tearfully thanking him for everything he had done for her, having realized he was the one who rescued her father. As heavy rain began, Ye Hai brought An Fei into his hospital room to dry off. An Fei scolded him for not telling her about the rescue and for getting hurt.
Ye Hai, trying to appear strong, denied any injuries, but An Fei insisted on knowing where he was hurt. He then gently urged her to go see her father. An Fei visited her father in his hospital room. Her father had woken up and was in good condition. An Fei expressed how scared she had been during his ordeal. Her father, reciprocating her feelings, recounted the terrifying storm at sea, where he believed he wouldn't survive to see her again.
He promised to stay by her side and listen to her. An Fei shared her anxiety about searching for the little dolphin he had knitted for her, believing that finding it was a sign of his safe return. Her father lovingly dismissed her worry, saying he could always make another one, and only needed her by his side.
Meanwhile, Jiang Zhi continued to relentlessly question Dr. C about the "ship in a bottle," but Dr. C remained tight-lipped, claiming he was perplexed by it and had made no progress. Jiang Zhi chastised him, emphasizing that without proper exploitation and storage technology for sea hydrogen, their ambitious dream would be shattered and rendered worthless.
