My Poseidon Episode 19 Recap
> My Poseidon Recap
An Fei awoke with a start from a strange dream where Ye Hai called her name, expressing his need for her. She found herself lying in bed, still recovering from illness. Her colleague, Wang Yong, observed her, teasing whether the "Ya Hai" she was calling was the person she longed to phone but dared not. Just then, news arrived that a material boat had delivered supplies and medicine to the laboratory.
Everyone was overjoyed, and An Fei, holding the medicine, already suspected it was Ye Hai's doing. Her suspicions were confirmed when she saw cute cartoon avatars on the cold medicine boxes, unmistakably Ye Hai’s artistic touch. Having recuperated, An Fei dedicated herself fully to the research. The team began their work to locate sea hydrogen, striving to determine the accurate range, reserve amount, and depth of any potential discovery. An Fei committed to documenting every detail in her research diary.
Meanwhile, Ming, a reporter, interviewed Professor Jiang, a respected geologist. Professor Jiang shared his view that scientific experiments, though demanding meticulousness, are as unpredictable as a gamble, often full of surprises, and carrying significant risks. He pondered the consequences if the Poseidon experiment failed to find hydrogen. Tong Zi Long called Ye Hai, sharing his suspicion that Liu Lan might have intentionally sent Mo Liang to Nan Hai, believing her true objective was to find sea hydrogen.
Ye Hai found this tiresome, noting that Liu Lan wasn't officially in charge. However, he then speculated that if the current exploration in Nan Hai yielded nothing, Mo Liang and Liu Lan might not be able to withstand such a crushing blow. As Ye Hai anticipated, the Nan Hai exploration reached a critical juncture but failed to uncover any trace of sea hydrogen, only showing signs of oil and natural gas. Mo Liang was visibly devastated, retreating to his room.
Liu Lan later entered Mo Liang's room to find him still downcast. She reminded him that Professor Xiao Ye, whose goal they shared, had passed away, and encouraged him to seize the limited opportunities in life. Mo Liang noted Liu Lan's unwavering ambition and questioned her true purpose for returning to Nan Hai. Liu Lan embraced him, declaring that she had made many bets and simply did not want to lose.
Mo Liang gently disengaged from her and asked her to leave, stating he was going to sleep. The following day, the lab team resumed their search for new survey points. An Fei, still bothered by Ye Hai’s silence, muttered to herself why he hadn't called, despite sending medicine. Unknown to her, Ye Hai was equally frustrated, complaining about An Fei's refusal to call him. Both remained stubborn, unwilling to make the first move.
Ming sent An Fei a voice message, inquiring about her relationship with Mo Liang and mentioning his recent interview with Professor Jiang. An Fei accidentally put the message on speaker, allowing Mo Liang and Liu Lan to overhear Ming’s personal questions. Embarrassed, An Fei quickly shifted the conversation to Professor Jiang. Liu Lan, upon seeing Professor Jiang's interview video online, appeared uncomfortable and immediately suggested they focus on finding exploration points.
Observing An Fei’s worsening cough, Liu Lan decided it was best for her to return to rest. She arranged a car for An Fei to depart that very day. Before An Fei left, Mo Liang gifted her an Agate stone, a serendipitous find by their geological surveyor. An Fei expressed her reluctance to leave the beautiful sea but accepted, not wanting to spread her illness to others.
Meanwhile, Ye Hai, still recovering from an injury he sustained when his "boat in the jar" necklace was stolen, arrived at his brother Ye Tian’s company. He found Lin Huayin there, discussing Professor Jiang with Ye Tian. Ye Hai, jokingly hinting at a relationship between Lin Huayin and Ye Tian, caused her to leave in a huff. After she departed, Ye Hai revealed to Ye Tian that his necklace had been stolen and asked who else might know about it.
Ye Hai explained that their grandfather had given him the necklace years ago to save his life. He then informed Ye Tian of his intention to go to Nan Hai, unaware that An Fei was already on her way back. Upon arriving in Nan Hai, Ye Hai learned that An Fei had already left and had been unwell.
Angered, he confronted Mo Liang, blaming him for bringing An Fei to Nan Hai and then allowing her to fall ill and return alone. Mo Liang defended his actions, claiming it was for An Fei's benefit. Ye Hai, incensed, provocatively revealed that An Fei was now living with him. Mo Liang, unfazed, retorted that An Fei had chosen to come to Nan Hai with him, a response that further infuriated Ye Hai.
Back at her rental apartment, An Fei found neither Ye Hai nor anyone else at home. Feeling a pang of disappointment, she noticed that her roof had been repaired. A warm smile touched her lips as she wearily sat down to rest against the railing.
