They successfully pass their test. Next, Fang Lie and Xiaobu take their turn. When asked about Fang Lie's favorite food, Xiaobu humorously yet accurately states it's anything Fang Leng buys or he doesn't have to pay for.
She then correctly identifies that what truly makes Fang Lie's heart flutter is her. Despite their perceived lack of obvious mutual understanding, their interaction is endearing. Chai Xiaoqi then proposes a more unconventional test for Chai Jie and Dr. Zhang: human push-ups. During this, Xiaobu humorously attempted to cheat by feigning transformation into a turtle, prompting playful accusations of foul play from others.

Despite his composed demeanor and attempts to dismiss them, Fang Leng and Fang Lie remained unconvinced and eventually left.
Inside the apartment, Xiaoqi awakened to find herself trapped within a new, highly advanced barrier generated by Candy, Jiang Shiyi's latest intelligent secretary. The barrier continuously drained Xiaoqi's energy as she struggled against it. Candy questioned Jiang Shiyi why he didn't simply force Xiaoqi back to their home planet. Jiang Shiyi explained that Xiaoqi needed to genuinely understand and accept their planet's "genetic matching system" and faith; otherwise, she wouldn't be able to truly live there.
He emphasized the need to change her perception from within. Still convinced Xiaoqi was being held at Jiang Shiyi's residence, Fang Leng, Fang Lie, and Xiaobu formulated a plan to break in the following morning after he left for work. Xiaobu suggested cutting the wireless network to disable Candy. The next day, as Jiang Shiyi departed, they put their plan into action. Xiaobu successfully cut the network, causing Candy's signal to disappear. They searched the apartment, but found nothing.
Unknown to them, Candy, despite the network outage, remained active and had strengthened the barrier around Xiaoqi. Fang Leng, standing near the barrier, smelled Xiaoqi's unique hormonal scent and heard her faint calls, but he could not see her, nor could she see him, separated by the invisible barrier. With Candy temporarily disabled, Xiaoqi expended all her remaining energy to break through the barrier. A powerful magnetic field fluctuation was detected by Xiaobu. Xiaoqi, now free, attempted to find Fang Leng, calling out his name. Fang Leng, still nearby, heard her voice and smelled her familiar scent, but frustratingly, he still could not see her, and she could not see him.
