Hou Chi congratulated the Devil Lord on reuniting with his sister in Otherworld Town. Shi Xia then realized the sister-choosing contest was organized for the Devil Lord, not for Hou Chi. Qiu Li, introduced as the Devil Lord's cousin and the Immortal Aunt of the Devil Sect, embraced Shi Xia as a sister and presented her with a gift. The Devil Lord reluctantly introduced Shi Xia as Hou Chi's sister.
Later, Qiu Li’s subordinate, Qi Lingling, expressed suspicion about Shi Xia’s unusually close relationship with the Devil Lord, and Qiu Li dismissed these concerns. Shi Xia confronted the Devil Lord, frustrated with his actions toward Hou Chi. She defensively claimed her undercover activities with Hou Chi were solely to aid the Devil Lord in becoming the head of the Alliance. The Devil Lord, seeing through her pretense, questioned her true motives.
In their escalating argument, Shi Xia angrily revealed to the Devil Lord that she was his biological sister and that he was merely impersonating the Devil Lord. Unbeknownst to them, Qiu Li overheard this shocking confession and felt insignificant. Qi Lingling, seizing the opportunity, manipulated Qiu Li's distress, suggesting Shi Xia intended to steal the Devil Lord away, awakening a dormant demonic power within Qiu Li, causing her to transform with a blue aura.
She defiantly declared that she would not permit anyone to take her brother from her. Later that evening, Shi Xia apologized to Hou Chi for her earlier bad temper, and Hou Chi reassured her. Shi Xia then recounted a story about a little prince who cherished a unique rose, only to realize its commonness after discovering a world full of similar flowers, implicitly expressing her feelings of insecurity.
Hou Chi, in turn, firmly reassured her, stating that she was his only sister and utterly irreplaceable, which uplifted Shi Xia's spirits. She then made a pact with him, promising to support him through his examination. Hou Chi found himself increasingly agitated and drawn to Shi Xia, his heart racing whenever he thought of touching her hand, leading him to wonder if the Devil Lord was somehow influencing his emotions.
Concurrently, Qi Lingling intercepted a magical umbrella from the Yuhua Sect and discovered that the Yuhua Sect intended to harm Shi Xia. This news pleased Qiu Li, who decided to orchestrate a "good show" for Shi Xia.
At The Great Hotel, Hou Chi encountered Zhao, a disciple from the Lingxiu Sect, who began to verbally attack the Devil Lord, whom he addressed as "Devil Lord Qiu Ping," and Hou Chi, criticizing the Yuhua Sect for its association with the Devil Sect. As the confrontation intensified, Qiu Li intervened, snatching Zhao’s junior sister’s hair clasp and shattering it, stating that she destroys what she desires but cannot possess.
The Devil Lord stepped in to protect Qiu Li, and his comforting presence caused Qiu Li to revert to her kind self. The inn owner diffused the escalating tension by reminding everyone that a ward established by Shen Guan in Otherworld Town prohibited fatal combat. Later, Qi Lingling secretly introduced Desire Poison into the fruit wine served at the hotel. Zhao's junior sister, after drinking the wine, began to act erratically, making advances toward Zhao.
Zhao, believing the wine had been deliberately poisoned, accused Shi Xia and Hou Chi of the deed. Shi Xia, who had also consumed the wine, suddenly felt a burning heat and intense discomfort. Realizing she was affected, she hastily retreated to her room, warning Hou Chi to stay out. Hou Chi, concerned, entered her room but found her hiding in a closet. Startled by a mouse, Shi Xia screamed and leapt out, seeking refuge in Hou Chi's embrace.
Under the potent influence of the Desire Poison, her eyes filled with longing as she tenderly caressed Hou Chi’s face. Meanwhile, the Devil Lord, Shi Dong, had retreated to his room to recover from his "allergy" with the aid of a Devil Sect medicine. Qiu Li, experiencing her intermittent memory loss, had no recollection of her aggressive behavior at dinner.
Worried about her "Hei Li" personality resurfacing and targeting Shi Xia, the Devil Lord lied to Qiu Li, explaining that his close interactions with Hou Chi and Shi Xia were a calculated strategy to disrupt Hou Chi’s cultivation and ensure his own victory in the Alliance Leader competition, assuring Qiu Li that all his actions were for the benefit of the Devil Sect and her.
Shortly after, Er Ha burst in with news that Zhao’s junior sister had been poisoned with Desire Poison at The Great Hotel. Realizing Shi Xia was also there, the Devil Lord immediately rushed to the hotel, where he and others heard soft murmurs emanating from Shi Xia’s room.
