Fulfilling the terms of a bet they had made, Kang Jiawei began calling her "Dobby," relentlessly teasing her about the copied homework.
Xu Jingjing, in turn, accused him of being cunning, revealing that the popular "Master Kang's exploration of new shops" online account was a ruse orchestrated by him; he had asked his father to post reviews using his account, instructing him to write in a youthful style to gain followers.
Their exchange was interrupted by Mr. Chen, who was amazed by Kang Jiawei's significant weight loss and praised him as a "diamond in the rough" before urging them to get to class. As the new semester began, seats were assigned based on academic performance.
