Love Unexpected Episode 3 Recap
> Love Unexpected Recap
Ke Siyi accompanied Xu Nuo to a business negotiation, waiting just outside the meeting room where she inadvertently overheard the discussions. Inside, Xu Nuo met with Wen Shan, Wu Dongde’s cousin, to acquire his shares in Hege Group. Wen Shan was hesitant, but Xu Nuo strategically reminded him of how Wu Dongde and his father had conspired to oust Wen Shan’s mother from the board of directors, hoping to sway his decision by appealing to old grievances.
Meanwhile, Wu Dongde received news of the meeting but remained unconcerned, confident that his cousin would not betray him. After the negotiation, as Ke Siyi waited for Xu Nuo outside the men's restroom, a young boy accidentally stepped on her foot. Instantly, Xu Nuo, who was inside, cried out in pain due to their shared senses. Ke Siyi rushed in, only to discover it was a false alarm. However, their embarrassment intensified when they realized Xu Nuo's zipper was broken.
Before they could resolve the awkward situation, Zhou Yanxin walked in, causing Ke Siyi to flee hastily, leaving a flustered Xu Nuo to stammer an explanation. That evening, the Li family gathered to celebrate Yunzhu’s recent victory. They waited a long time for Ke Siyi to return from work, but as soon as she sat down, a visibly annoyed Yunzhu excused herself and retreated to her room. Surrounded by her trophies, Yunzhu reflected on conversations with other boxing company representatives.
They had highlighted the contrast between Ke Siyi, who as Li Da’s biological daughter enjoyed a normal college life, and Yunzhu, who was adopted and had spent her childhood in rigorous, often underappreciated training. Feeling undervalued and presented with offers of a brighter future, Yunzhu grew disheartened. When Ke Siyi entered their room, she found the lucky bracelet she had given Yunzhu as a child placed on her desk.
The bracelet was one of a pair made by their mother, and its return, coupled with Yunzhu turning her back, created a silent rift between the sisters. The next morning, Ke Siyi went for her routine run to the Wishing Pond. Deciding to use the returned bracelet to make a wish, she tossed it into the water, wishing for Yunzhu’s well-being and the Kuang Hu team's future before leaving.
Later, Xu Nuo arrived at the same pond with Zhou Yanxin, acting on Ke Siyi's earlier therapeutic suggestion to observe people's emotions. While initially skeptical of making wishes, Xu Nuo's expression changed when he spotted a familiar bracelet in the water—the very same lucky bracelet he had received from a mysterious girl during a car accident years ago. He immediately jumped into the pond to retrieve it and began searching the streets for the girl, but to no avail.
Back at the company, Wu Dongde offered Xu Nuo the position of General Manager of Hege Media, a strategic sacrifice to prevent him from aiming for the chairmanship. Xu Nuo flatly rejected the offer. Alone, Xu Nuo recalled a painful memory from over a decade ago: his father, facing business troubles, humbly pleading with Wu Dongde’s father only to be coldly rejected. Later in the company cafeteria, Zhixiao spotted Ke Siyi and approached her.
Panicked that he would reveal her identity, Ke Siyi, who had claimed to be Xu Nuo's assistant, staged a scene. She splashed coffee on Zhixiao, accused him of being a persistent ex-boyfriend, and dragged him away, leaving Xu Nuo and Zhou Yanxin bewildered. Outside, Ke Siyi explained she was trying to hide her identity as the coach's daughter from Xu Nuo.
Zhixiao then informed her that Wu Dongde had rejected Xu Nuo's proposal to redevelop the sports arena, news which made Ke Siyi respect Wu Dongde for keeping his promise to her father. Meanwhile, Zhou Yanxin discovered Zhixiao's true identity for Xu Nuo: a renowned media personality who had written critical articles against him. Zhixiao and Yunzhu met up for a day off. He noticed her bracelet was missing and asked about it.
Yunzhu, flustered, feigned nonchalance but secretly texted Ke Siyi, demanding she return the bracelet. Zhixiao also sensed Yunzhu's troubled mood. She confessed her career anxieties and referred to her adoptive father distantly as "Coach." Zhixiao gently encouraged her to communicate with her family, but Yunzhu resisted, hinting at her desire for a different, more special relationship with Zhixiao. Upon receiving the urgent message, Ke Siyi rushed back to the Wishing Pond but could not find the bracelet.
At the same time, a guilt-ridden Xu Nuo returned to the pond with Zhou Yanxin. Explaining that he didn't want to prevent the original owner's wish from coming true, he tossed the bracelet back into the water. After they left, Ke Siyi continued her earnest search and was overjoyed to finally spot the bracelet. She quickly retrieved it and hurried back to the gym, only to find Yunzhu in a boxing match against her father, Li Da.
The match had started after Yunzhu complained about the lack of suitable sparring partners on the team. As an experienced observer, Ke Siyi could tell who had the upper hand. In the end, a sweat-soaked Li Da defeated Yunzhu, earning cheers from the team while a disheartened Yunzhu left the ring. Later that night, Ke Siyi found Yunzhu in their room and sincerely thanked her for intentionally holding back during the match to protect their father's dignity.
Realizing she had been found out, Yunzhu felt a sense of shame. Ke Siyi returned the bracelet, telling Yunzhu she had always considered her a precious gift to the family, leaving Yunzhu touched but at a loss for words. The following day, Wu Dongde convened a shareholder meeting to oust Xu Nuo, but Xu Nuo arrived confidently. He presented documents proving he had acquired Wen Shan's shares, giving him a majority stake and the power to become the new chairman.
As Wu Dongde stared in disbelief, Xu Nuo leaned in and repeated the same callous words Wu Dongde’s father had used to reject his own father years ago, leaving Wu Dongde stunned. With the old score settled, Wu Dongde announced the leadership change to the media, with Xu Nuo standing beside him as the victor. Watching from the crowd, Ke Siyi felt a mix of conflicting emotions.
