Love Unexpected Episode 2 Recap
> Love Unexpected Recap
Xu Nuo was abruptly awakened from a nightmare where he was trapped, unconscious, in an overturned car with a profusely bleeding head wound. In the dream, an unfamiliar voice continually called to him, urging him not to fall asleep and to hold on, emphasizing that life is precious.
The voice also slipped a lucky bracelet onto his wrist, explaining it was from their mother and that luck was like a cloud in the sky, visible just by looking up, offering to give him the rest of their own good fortune. The next morning, Xu Nuo tried to practice the "happy smile" that Ke Siyi had described, but his forced, insincere grin was so unsettling that Zhou Yanxin found it horrifying, forcing Xu Nuo to give up.
As they prepared to leave for work, Xu Nuo was annoyed by Ke Siyi’s high-profile attire. He accused her of dressing like she was in a movie and advertising his wealth to potential criminals. Ke Siyi countered that a bodyguard's purpose was to remain undetected in order to strike a fatal blow when criminals were unprepared. Despite her explanation, Xu Nuo insisted she change, asserting his authority as her employer.
Ke Siyi quickly complied, grumbling about his demanding nature before they set off for the company. At the office, Zhou Yanxin, skeptical of Ke Siyi's combat abilities, provocatively tapped her head with a magazine, hoping to prompt a demonstration of her “whirlwind kick.” Ke Siyi, however, refused to fight her own people, leading Zhou Yanxin to attempt a "sneak attack." At that exact moment, Xu Nuo, in his office, felt a sharp pain.
Coming out, he learned from Zhou Yanxin that Ke Siyi had just taken a hit. Puzzled by his recurring, unexplained pains, Xu Nuo began to suspect Ke Siyi might have a special ability to transfer pain to him. Before he could test this theory, Zhou Yanxin interrupted, excitedly announcing that Li Yunzhu from the Kuang Hu team had won a championship, cementing the team's commercial value.
Seeing that Li Yunzhu's business data looked promising, Xu Nuo finally agreed to Zhou Yanxin’s proposal to reform Kuang Hu to boost their corporate image and profitability. That evening, Ke Siyi engaged in a friendly yet intense kickboxing match with her friend Lin Wen. The announcer introduced Ke Siyi as "Master Ke Siyi," also known as "Wang Yuyan" in the fighting arena, and Lin Wen as "Wonder Woman."
The match was framed as a significant event proving Kuang Hu's rising prominence. Despite Lin Wen's advice to protect herself, Ke Siyi endured several blows, showcasing her toughness. Simultaneously, across the city, Xu Nuo, diligently working, was suddenly overwhelmed by a wave of intense pain that caused him to cry out, roll off his sofa, and ultimately lose consciousness. The next morning, Ke Siyi was surprised when Xu Nuo didn't appear on time.
Upon entering his luxurious apartment, she found him collapsed on the floor. After a dismissive phone call with Zhou Yanxin, who stated he was busy and that Xu Nuo couldn't be dead given his fitness routine, Ke Siyi took charge. Though nervous, she decided to perform CPR, reasoning it was just basic medical aid and not a kiss, finding some comfort in the fact that he was handsome.
Just as she began mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, Xu Nuo suddenly regained consciousness and stared at her in shock. He immediately pushed her away, went to change clothes, and then demanded she apply medicine to his supposed injuries. As Ke Siyi fumbled to find any wounds on his surprisingly smooth skin, Xu Nuo groaned dramatically, claiming to be in immense pain. Skeptical, Ke Siyi pressed him about what he did the previous night.
He vaguely mentioned a dream about a collision, which she found hard to believe, suspecting he'd been fighting. As she questioned him, Ke Siyi suddenly felt the need to use the bathroom, where she realized her period had started. Curiously, she felt no pain. Stepping out of the bathroom, she was met with a shocking sight: Xu Nuo, clutching his lower abdomen, contorted in agonizing pain, screaming and crying erratically. Seeing his distress, Ke Siyi rushed him to the hospital.
During the trip, a delirious Xu Nuo threatened to deduct Ke Siyi’s salary for having "kissed his mouth, touched his stomach, touched his leg, and touched his chest." At the hospital, experienced physicians were baffled by Xu Nuo's condition. A full battery of tests revealed no physical injuries, yet he complained of intermittent pain. Frustrated, Ke Siyi returned to his hospital room. Seeing him clutched in pain reminded her of her own monthly dysmenorrhea.
She rushed to a convenience store, buying everything a woman might need during her period. Back in the room, she made Xu Nuo drink brown sugar water and applied warm packs, which surprisingly brought him some relief. A weakened Xu Nuo asked how she knew what to do. Ke Siyi explained it was standard practice for her "monthly condition," likening his pain to her own menstrual cramps.
This revelation solidified Xu Nuo’s suspicion: Ke Siyi’s pain was indeed transferring to him. As he looked at her innocent expression, Xu Nuo, though internally annoyed, relaxed his clenched fists. Over the next few days, Xu Nuo's unusual behavior made Ke Siyi wonder if he harbored a secret crush on her. As they left the hospital, a little girl's balloon got tangled in a tree. Ke Siyi, without hesitation, climbed up to retrieve it.
She got the balloon but scratched her hand on the tree bark and almost fell, only to be caught by Xu Nuo. Enraged by her recklessness, Xu Nuo violently punched the ground, warning her to stop taking such risks and not to get hurt again. Touched by his sudden outburst, Ke Siyi felt her heart flutter, believing he was finally showing concern for her. She shyly avoided his gaze, leaving Xu Nuo alone and exasperated.
When she later questioned why he was so concerned about her getting hurt, he irritably revealed the true reason: all her pain was being transferred to him. Confused, Ke Siyi asked if his injuries mattered to him since she was just his bodyguard, not his girlfriend. Xu Nuo bluntly stated that if she was hurt, he would be hurt. Ke Siyi then innocently asked if this meant he was in love with her, to which Xu Nuo curtly replied, "Get lost."
