Love Unexpected Recap
Episode 1 Recap
Xu Nuo, known as an "Enterprise Hunter" and a former student of Wall Street's renowned investment masters, has garnered a reputation for aggressively acquiring deficit-ridden companies, boasting a flawless success rate. A week prior, when Hege Media faced a cash flow crisis, Xu Nuo acquired a significant stake, becoming the second-largest shareholder. This move sparked widespread speculation that all subsidiaries under Hege Group would undergo a severe restructuring, with unprofitable entities facing dissolution. Among these subsidiaries was Kuang Hu Stadium.
Ke Siyi, the daughter of Li Da, Kuang Hu's coach, worried immensely about its fate, knowing the stadium hadn't been profitable for years. Meanwhile, Xu Nuo, viewing Kuang Hu as a valueless venture—a mere combination of "violence and sweat" that didn't earn him money—questioned its long-standing existence. His lawyer and friend, Zhou Yanxin, persuaded him to attend a match, suggesting the club must hold some meaning given its history. Xu Nuo, despite his aversion, reluctantly agreed.
The Dongfang Summit International MMA Championship Semi-finals commenced, featuring Kuang Hu's acclaimed "Goddess of Combat," Li Yunzhu, against the formidable Fei Long team. As Ke Siyi cheered enthusiastically, Xu Nuo quickly grew bored by the "nonsense violence" and decided to leave, believing Li Yunzhu was on the verge of defeat. Ke Siyi, however, recognized her friend's tactical play—feigning weakness to study her opponent before launching a counterattack. Confident in Li Yunzhu's impending turnaround, Ke Siyi also left the venue.
Outside, a loose advertising board nearly struck Xu Nuo, but Ke Siyi swiftly pulled him into an embrace, causing both to tumble to the ground. After an awkward moment, Ke Siyi recognized Xu Nuo as the ruthless new president from the news and seized the opportunity to passionately advocate for Kuang Hu Stadium.
Xu Nuo, while acknowledging her role in saving him, coldly dismissed her plea, asserting that any club's existence depends solely on its commercial value, which the "obsolete stadium" clearly lacked. Infuriated by his cold ingratitude, Ke Siyi could only stomp her feet in frustration as he walked away. Back in his office, Xu Nuo instructed Zhou Yanxin to reclaim Kuang Hu Stadium and dismiss the team within three days.
Zhou Yanxin revealed a critical detail: the late Ex-General Manager Wu had signed a property donation agreement with Li Da 15 years prior. The agreement stipulated that if Li Da coached Kuang Hu for 15 years, the stadium's ownership would transfer from Hege Group to him. The deadline was in three days. Unaware of this, Xu Nuo was determined to prevent the transfer. Simultaneously, Zhixiao, a Hege Media employee and a close friend of Ke Siyi, overheard Xu Nuo's plan.
He rushed to inform Li Da and Ke Siyi, presenting the agreement as an "amulet" that would secure the stadium if Li Da simply remained coach for three more days. However, a frustrated Li Yunzhu, tired of her boxing career, suggested giving up the property rights. Her idea was met with strong opposition, and she retreated to her room. Despite this setback, Ke Siyi resolved to find a way to save Kuang Hu.
The following day, media reporters ambushed Xu Nuo, bombarding him with questions about a hostile takeover of Hege Media. Ke Siyi suddenly appeared, carrying two boxes of balloons, burst through the crowd, grabbed Xu Nuo's hand, and pulled him away, handing him a helmet. Annoyed by the relentless cameras, Xu Nuo put on the helmet and allowed Ke Siyi to drive him away on her motorcycle. However, her poor driving skills caused them to crash onto a nearby lawn.
As they recovered, Ke Siyi pleaded with him not to dismiss Kuang Hu, but Xu Nuo caught her slip-up: she knew about his undisclosed plan. Exposed, Ke Siyi stammered as Xu Nuo coldly tossed her helmet aside and departed. Later, Wu Dongde, the son of Hege's former chairman, met with Li Da. Wu Dongde explained that while his late father cherished Kuang Hu, circumstances had changed.
Understanding the veiled message, Li Da decided to honor his old friend's memory by relinquishing the property rights and returning the donation agreement, stating he couldn't capitalize on a promise when Kuang Hu was struggling. Ke Siyi was devastated by her father's decision. Meanwhile, spurred by Ke Siyi's persistence, Xu Nuo re-evaluated Kuang Hu. He discovered its suburban location was newly designated for development, causing a surge in surrounding land prices.
He realized that demolishing the stadium for a large-scale shopping center would yield immense commercial value. Witnessing the recent chaos, Zhou Yanxin suggested Xu Nuo hire a bodyguard, but he paid no heed, engrossed in his new assessment. With the stadium's property rights gone, Ke Siyi focused on saving the team itself. Her friend, Zhixiao, informed her that Xu Nuo was seeking a personal bodyguard.
Seeing a golden opportunity to get close to Xu Nuo, Ke Siyi began a grueling training regimen. At the interview, Xu Nuo instantly recognized her and challenged her to prove she could ensure his safety within three minutes. To his surprise, Ke Siyi swiftly defeated a much larger opponent in two and a half minutes.
With no reason to reject her, Xu Nuo reluctantly agreed to a one-month probationary period, laying out strict conditions: no intimate physical contact, no prying into his privacy, no harassment outside work, and 24/7 availability. Ke Siyi requested to start a day later, to which Xu Nuo sarcastically consented. Xu Nuo visited his therapist, Dr. Qin, to discontinue his brainwave psychotherapy. After six months, he still felt no joy or sorrow and deemed the therapy ineffective.
He asked to thank the volunteer who assisted him, but Dr. Qin declined, citing a confidentiality agreement that also required their voices to be altered to maintain anonymity. Dr. Qin revealed the volunteer, Ke Siyi, was chosen for her high emotional sensitivity. Simultaneously, Ke Siyi was informed this would be her final session. She felt immense pity for the patient, lamenting that he might never experience basic emotions.
During their final session, sitting back-to-back with their identities concealed, Ke Siyi guided Xu Nuo on expressing anger. When he asked how to express sadness, he revealed that even at his mother's funeral, he couldn't cry. He explained his grief "hurt more than tears" and that he coped by hugging himself, just as his mother used to. Suddenly, a machine malfunctioned. Ke Siyi tried to reassure him, but he calmly stated he felt no fear, only pain, leaving him confused.
Witnessing his profound loneliness, Ke Siyi sincerely wished she could share half of her empathy with him. As they left separately under a light rain, Ke Siyi accidentally bumped into a utility pole but felt no pain. Miles away, Xu Nuo suddenly clutched his head, struck by an inexplicable pain from an unknown source.
Episode 2 Recap
Xu Nuo was abruptly awakened from a nightmare where he was trapped, unconscious, in an overturned car with a profusely bleeding head wound. In the dream, an unfamiliar voice continually called to him, urging him not to fall asleep and to hold on, emphasizing that life is precious.
The voice also slipped a lucky bracelet onto his wrist, explaining it was from their mother and that luck was like a cloud in the sky, visible just by looking up, offering to give him the rest of their own good fortune. The next morning, Xu Nuo tried to practice the "happy smile" that Ke Siyi had described, but his forced, insincere grin was so unsettling that Zhou Yanxin found it horrifying, forcing Xu Nuo to give up.
As they prepared to leave for work, Xu Nuo was annoyed by Ke Siyi’s high-profile attire. He accused her of dressing like she was in a movie and advertising his wealth to potential criminals. Ke Siyi countered that a bodyguard's purpose was to remain undetected in order to strike a fatal blow when criminals were unprepared. Despite her explanation, Xu Nuo insisted she change, asserting his authority as her employer.
Ke Siyi quickly complied, grumbling about his demanding nature before they set off for the company. At the office, Zhou Yanxin, skeptical of Ke Siyi's combat abilities, provocatively tapped her head with a magazine, hoping to prompt a demonstration of her “whirlwind kick.” Ke Siyi, however, refused to fight her own people, leading Zhou Yanxin to attempt a "sneak attack." At that exact moment, Xu Nuo, in his office, felt a sharp pain.
Coming out, he learned from Zhou Yanxin that Ke Siyi had just taken a hit. Puzzled by his recurring, unexplained pains, Xu Nuo began to suspect Ke Siyi might have a special ability to transfer pain to him. Before he could test this theory, Zhou Yanxin interrupted, excitedly announcing that Li Yunzhu from the Kuang Hu team had won a championship, cementing the team's commercial value.
Seeing that Li Yunzhu's business data looked promising, Xu Nuo finally agreed to Zhou Yanxin’s proposal to reform Kuang Hu to boost their corporate image and profitability. That evening, Ke Siyi engaged in a friendly yet intense kickboxing match with her friend Lin Wen. The announcer introduced Ke Siyi as "Master Ke Siyi," also known as "Wang Yuyan" in the fighting arena, and Lin Wen as "Wonder Woman."
The match was framed as a significant event proving Kuang Hu's rising prominence. Despite Lin Wen's advice to protect herself, Ke Siyi endured several blows, showcasing her toughness. Simultaneously, across the city, Xu Nuo, diligently working, was suddenly overwhelmed by a wave of intense pain that caused him to cry out, roll off his sofa, and ultimately lose consciousness. The next morning, Ke Siyi was surprised when Xu Nuo didn't appear on time.
Upon entering his luxurious apartment, she found him collapsed on the floor. After a dismissive phone call with Zhou Yanxin, who stated he was busy and that Xu Nuo couldn't be dead given his fitness routine, Ke Siyi took charge. Though nervous, she decided to perform CPR, reasoning it was just basic medical aid and not a kiss, finding some comfort in the fact that he was handsome.
Just as she began mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, Xu Nuo suddenly regained consciousness and stared at her in shock. He immediately pushed her away, went to change clothes, and then demanded she apply medicine to his supposed injuries. As Ke Siyi fumbled to find any wounds on his surprisingly smooth skin, Xu Nuo groaned dramatically, claiming to be in immense pain. Skeptical, Ke Siyi pressed him about what he did the previous night.
He vaguely mentioned a dream about a collision, which she found hard to believe, suspecting he'd been fighting. As she questioned him, Ke Siyi suddenly felt the need to use the bathroom, where she realized her period had started. Curiously, she felt no pain. Stepping out of the bathroom, she was met with a shocking sight: Xu Nuo, clutching his lower abdomen, contorted in agonizing pain, screaming and crying erratically. Seeing his distress, Ke Siyi rushed him to the hospital.
During the trip, a delirious Xu Nuo threatened to deduct Ke Siyi’s salary for having "kissed his mouth, touched his stomach, touched his leg, and touched his chest." At the hospital, experienced physicians were baffled by Xu Nuo's condition. A full battery of tests revealed no physical injuries, yet he complained of intermittent pain. Frustrated, Ke Siyi returned to his hospital room. Seeing him clutched in pain reminded her of her own monthly dysmenorrhea.
She rushed to a convenience store, buying everything a woman might need during her period. Back in the room, she made Xu Nuo drink brown sugar water and applied warm packs, which surprisingly brought him some relief. A weakened Xu Nuo asked how she knew what to do. Ke Siyi explained it was standard practice for her "monthly condition," likening his pain to her own menstrual cramps.
This revelation solidified Xu Nuo’s suspicion: Ke Siyi’s pain was indeed transferring to him. As he looked at her innocent expression, Xu Nuo, though internally annoyed, relaxed his clenched fists. Over the next few days, Xu Nuo's unusual behavior made Ke Siyi wonder if he harbored a secret crush on her. As they left the hospital, a little girl's balloon got tangled in a tree. Ke Siyi, without hesitation, climbed up to retrieve it.
She got the balloon but scratched her hand on the tree bark and almost fell, only to be caught by Xu Nuo. Enraged by her recklessness, Xu Nuo violently punched the ground, warning her to stop taking such risks and not to get hurt again. Touched by his sudden outburst, Ke Siyi felt her heart flutter, believing he was finally showing concern for her. She shyly avoided his gaze, leaving Xu Nuo alone and exasperated.
When she later questioned why he was so concerned about her getting hurt, he irritably revealed the true reason: all her pain was being transferred to him. Confused, Ke Siyi asked if his injuries mattered to him since she was just his bodyguard, not his girlfriend. Xu Nuo bluntly stated that if she was hurt, he would be hurt. Ke Siyi then innocently asked if this meant he was in love with her, to which Xu Nuo curtly replied, "Get lost."
Episode 3 Recap
Ke Siyi accompanied Xu Nuo to a business negotiation, waiting just outside the meeting room where she inadvertently overheard the discussions. Inside, Xu Nuo met with Wen Shan, Wu Dongde’s cousin, to acquire his shares in Hege Group. Wen Shan was hesitant, but Xu Nuo strategically reminded him of how Wu Dongde and his father had conspired to oust Wen Shan’s mother from the board of directors, hoping to sway his decision by appealing to old grievances.
Meanwhile, Wu Dongde received news of the meeting but remained unconcerned, confident that his cousin would not betray him. After the negotiation, as Ke Siyi waited for Xu Nuo outside the men's restroom, a young boy accidentally stepped on her foot. Instantly, Xu Nuo, who was inside, cried out in pain due to their shared senses. Ke Siyi rushed in, only to discover it was a false alarm. However, their embarrassment intensified when they realized Xu Nuo's zipper was broken.
Before they could resolve the awkward situation, Zhou Yanxin walked in, causing Ke Siyi to flee hastily, leaving a flustered Xu Nuo to stammer an explanation. That evening, the Li family gathered to celebrate Yunzhu’s recent victory. They waited a long time for Ke Siyi to return from work, but as soon as she sat down, a visibly annoyed Yunzhu excused herself and retreated to her room. Surrounded by her trophies, Yunzhu reflected on conversations with other boxing company representatives.
They had highlighted the contrast between Ke Siyi, who as Li Da’s biological daughter enjoyed a normal college life, and Yunzhu, who was adopted and had spent her childhood in rigorous, often underappreciated training. Feeling undervalued and presented with offers of a brighter future, Yunzhu grew disheartened. When Ke Siyi entered their room, she found the lucky bracelet she had given Yunzhu as a child placed on her desk.
The bracelet was one of a pair made by their mother, and its return, coupled with Yunzhu turning her back, created a silent rift between the sisters. The next morning, Ke Siyi went for her routine run to the Wishing Pond. Deciding to use the returned bracelet to make a wish, she tossed it into the water, wishing for Yunzhu’s well-being and the Kuang Hu team's future before leaving.
Later, Xu Nuo arrived at the same pond with Zhou Yanxin, acting on Ke Siyi's earlier therapeutic suggestion to observe people's emotions. While initially skeptical of making wishes, Xu Nuo's expression changed when he spotted a familiar bracelet in the water—the very same lucky bracelet he had received from a mysterious girl during a car accident years ago. He immediately jumped into the pond to retrieve it and began searching the streets for the girl, but to no avail.
Back at the company, Wu Dongde offered Xu Nuo the position of General Manager of Hege Media, a strategic sacrifice to prevent him from aiming for the chairmanship. Xu Nuo flatly rejected the offer. Alone, Xu Nuo recalled a painful memory from over a decade ago: his father, facing business troubles, humbly pleading with Wu Dongde’s father only to be coldly rejected. Later in the company cafeteria, Zhixiao spotted Ke Siyi and approached her.
Panicked that he would reveal her identity, Ke Siyi, who had claimed to be Xu Nuo's assistant, staged a scene. She splashed coffee on Zhixiao, accused him of being a persistent ex-boyfriend, and dragged him away, leaving Xu Nuo and Zhou Yanxin bewildered. Outside, Ke Siyi explained she was trying to hide her identity as the coach's daughter from Xu Nuo.
Zhixiao then informed her that Wu Dongde had rejected Xu Nuo's proposal to redevelop the sports arena, news which made Ke Siyi respect Wu Dongde for keeping his promise to her father. Meanwhile, Zhou Yanxin discovered Zhixiao's true identity for Xu Nuo: a renowned media personality who had written critical articles against him. Zhixiao and Yunzhu met up for a day off. He noticed her bracelet was missing and asked about it.
Yunzhu, flustered, feigned nonchalance but secretly texted Ke Siyi, demanding she return the bracelet. Zhixiao also sensed Yunzhu's troubled mood. She confessed her career anxieties and referred to her adoptive father distantly as "Coach." Zhixiao gently encouraged her to communicate with her family, but Yunzhu resisted, hinting at her desire for a different, more special relationship with Zhixiao. Upon receiving the urgent message, Ke Siyi rushed back to the Wishing Pond but could not find the bracelet.
At the same time, a guilt-ridden Xu Nuo returned to the pond with Zhou Yanxin. Explaining that he didn't want to prevent the original owner's wish from coming true, he tossed the bracelet back into the water. After they left, Ke Siyi continued her earnest search and was overjoyed to finally spot the bracelet. She quickly retrieved it and hurried back to the gym, only to find Yunzhu in a boxing match against her father, Li Da.
The match had started after Yunzhu complained about the lack of suitable sparring partners on the team. As an experienced observer, Ke Siyi could tell who had the upper hand. In the end, a sweat-soaked Li Da defeated Yunzhu, earning cheers from the team while a disheartened Yunzhu left the ring. Later that night, Ke Siyi found Yunzhu in their room and sincerely thanked her for intentionally holding back during the match to protect their father's dignity.
Realizing she had been found out, Yunzhu felt a sense of shame. Ke Siyi returned the bracelet, telling Yunzhu she had always considered her a precious gift to the family, leaving Yunzhu touched but at a loss for words. The following day, Wu Dongde convened a shareholder meeting to oust Xu Nuo, but Xu Nuo arrived confidently. He presented documents proving he had acquired Wen Shan's shares, giving him a majority stake and the power to become the new chairman.
As Wu Dongde stared in disbelief, Xu Nuo leaned in and repeated the same callous words Wu Dongde’s father had used to reject his own father years ago, leaving Wu Dongde stunned. With the old score settled, Wu Dongde announced the leadership change to the media, with Xu Nuo standing beside him as the victor. Watching from the crowd, Ke Siyi felt a mix of conflicting emotions.
Episode 4 Recap
In her new room at the Black Dragon team's facility, Yun Zhu reflects on her departure. In a heartfelt monologue directed at her father, Li Da, she expresses her sorrow, acknowledging Kuang Hu as his lifelong dream but emphasizing that her own life and dreams are hers to pursue. She reaffirms that while she can no longer be a player for Kuang Hu, she will always be his daughter.
Back at Kuang Hu, the team grapples with Yun Zhu's move to a rival. Lin Wen harshly criticizes Yun Zhu for abandoning them, while Weiwei and Ke Siyi defend her. Ke Siyi argues that joining Black Dragon was Yun Zhu's only chance to pursue her dream as mixed martial arts gains more prominence. Coach Li Da reassures Ke Siyi that he will do his best to protect Kuang Hu.
At Hege Media, the new President Xu Nuo begins a swift and ruthless reform, dissolving several unprofitable subsidiaries, including advertising and fighting teams, leading to widespread layoffs. A director, whose company faces dissolution, desperately pleads with Xu Nuo, explaining his employees are sole providers for their families. Xu Nuo coldly gives him three minutes to make a case, but ultimately dismisses his plea, stating that he runs a business, not a charity.
He orders his lawyer, Zhou Yanxin, to proceed with the dissolution. Enraged, the director throws an object in frustration, and Xu Nuo instinctively shields Ke Siyi. Appalled by his cruelty, Ke Siyi confronts Xu Nuo, who gives her three minutes to justify sparing the employees. Flustered, she accuses him of being heartless, prompting Xu Nuo to threaten to fire her. Zhou Yanxin quickly intervenes, pulling Ke Siyi away. Later, Zhou Yanxin explains Xu Nuo's past to Ke Siyi.
Three years ago, Xu Nuo’s mother persuaded him to help a desperate financier, reminding him of his own father's past struggles. Yielding to his mother's plea after three minutes of hesitation, Xu Nuo agreed, but it was too late. The financier, despondent after the initial rejection, had already driven his car into Xu Nuo and his mother's vehicle, killing her. That incident cost Xu Nuo his only living relative.
Since then, Xu Nuo has strictly adhered to making all decisions within three minutes, prioritizing objective facts over emotion to prevent anyone from hurting him again. Hearing this, Ke Siyi's anger dissolves into profound pity. Zhou Yanxin warns her never to provoke Xu Nuo about the three-minute rule. Zhou Yanxin then confronts Xu Nuo about shielding Ke Siyi. Xu Nuo reveals a bizarre phenomenon: Ke Siyi's pain, including menstrual cramps, is being transferred to him.
He explains that he feels her physical sensations and that her painkillers alleviate his symptoms. Unconvinced, Zhou Yanxin takes Xu Nuo to a doctor, who suggests the symptoms are likely panic attacks or hallucinations induced by alexithymia—a condition preventing him from identifying and expressing emotions. Xu Nuo dismisses the diagnosis, insisting the pain transference is real. Unfazed, Xu Nuo still plans to fire Ke Siyi, but Zhou Yanxin argues that keeping her close might be safer.
Meanwhile, Zhou Yanxin receives news that a new online account called "Tiger's Roar" is libeling Xu Nuo, manipulating public opinion. Xu Nuo remains unconcerned and decides to proceed with an assessment visit to the Kuang Hu gymnasium that afternoon. Ke Siyi meets her childhood friend, Zhixiao, who expresses concern for her working under Xu Nuo.
He recounts a story about Xu Nuo suing an assistant who missed work for one day, even though she was pregnant and had gone to the hospital, portraying Xu Nuo as a heartless man. Ke Siyi, now understanding Xu Nuo's past, defends him, suggesting his cruelty stems from a painful past. Zhixiao urges her to resign, but she refuses, determined to support her father and Kuang Hu, especially after Yun Zhu’s departure.
Later, Xu Nuo and the assessment team arrive at the Kuang Hu gym. He informs them that Hege Group owns the property and plans to demolish it for a new shopping mall, ordering them to leave. When Li Da confronts him, Xu Nuo dismisses his competence, stating he doesn't bet on uncertain outcomes. Overwhelmed by the news, Li Da collapses. At the hospital, a recovering Li Da reassures Ke Siyi and Weiwei.
Weiwei reveals that Xu Nuo's harsh words caused Li Da's collapse. Ke Siyi reaffirms her resolve to remain Xu Nuo's bodyguard, believing her proximity to him is Kuang Hu's only hope. Meanwhile, Zhou Yanxin tries to flirt with Lin Wen at the hospital, theatrically accusing her of assault after she pushed him and demanding she take responsibility. Lin Wen dismisses him as a blackmailer. The next day, protesters surround Xu Nuo's company building.
To create a diversion, Zhou Yanxin impersonates Xu Nuo and, in front of live media, dramatically calls out Lin Wen, accusing her of injuring him and demanding she "be an adult" and contact him. Meanwhile, Xu Nuo and Ke Siyi's escape through the parking lot is blocked by another group of protesters. Xu Nuo placates them by announcing a generous severance package. Just as the situation escalates, Zhixiao appears and leads them to a freight elevator.
Inside the elevator, Xu Nuo notices Ke Siyi and Zhixiao holding hands and jealously confronts Zhixiao. He asserts that Ke Siyi is his "private bodyguard," unequivocally stating, "she's mine," and warns that he dislikes complex relationships among his employees. After Zhixiao leaves, Xu Nuo asks Ke Siyi why she is protecting him, and she replies it's simply her job.
Later, at the gym, Lin Wen and Weiwei are surprised by Ke Siyi's high pain tolerance during training; she feels nothing even from a powerful punch. As they decide to hit her simultaneously, Xu Nuo bursts in, grimacing in pain. He shouts, "Stop it! She's mine and you can't hurt her!" He explains that hitting Ke Siyi is the same as hitting him, because he feels all her pain.
He pulls a bewildered Ke Siyi away, who internally remarks that his over-the-top possessiveness feels like a real-life "overbearing CEO fell in love with me" drama. Ignoring her protests, Xu Nuo brings Ke Siyi to his home, forbidding her from fighting or getting injured again. He forcefully instructs her to stay and sleep there overnight. Ke Siyi, misunderstanding his intention, protests that she is there to work, not to sleep with him. Acknowledging that he can fall for her, she finds his pace "too fast." Undeterred, Xu Nuo sternly commands, "Sleep right here!" leaving Ke Siyi's heart pounding in confusion.
Episode 5 Recap
Ke Siyi’s nascent feelings for Xu Nuo quickly dissipated when she saw he had arranged for her to sleep on a floor mat. Meanwhile, Zhou Yanxin began his relentless pursuit of Lin Wen. Despite her initial reluctance, he convinced her to share a meal with him. During dinner, Zhou Yanxin openly expressed his admiration for Lin Wen and even tried to bribe Weiwei for her WeChat contact.
While Lin Wen outwardly resisted, she couldn't help but smile secretly as she watched him diligently grill meat for her. Zhou Yanxin also took the opportunity to ask Weiwei if Lin Wen was easy to pursue. Later that night, Ke Siyi attempted to escape Xu Nuo's residence, but he discovered her. Accusing her of planning to practice boxing instead of sleeping, Xu Nuo, after a physical struggle, forcibly prevented her from leaving.
Despite Ke Siyi's protests, Xu Nuo insisted she sleep on the floor. After a fight over a shared blanket, they unexpectedly woke up on the same bed, with Ke Siyi in Xu Nuo's arms. Startled, Xu Nuo yelled at her to get off the bed. In her haste, Ke Siyi stumbled and shattered a glass cup. As the shards were about to cut her, Xu Nuo instinctively shielded her with his hand, injuring himself.
Seeing this, Ke Siyi became more convinced that he liked her. However, Xu Nuo, enduring the pain, revealed his bizarre "pain transfer" theory, claiming that if she got hurt, he would be the one to feel the pain. Ke Siyi found his explanation absurd, but his serious expression suggested he was not joking. The following morning, as Ke Siyi prepared to leave, Zhou Yanxin arrived with breakfast.
Noticing Ke Siyi's disheveled appearance, he suspected she had spent the night there and immediately called Lin Wen to hint that Ke Siyi might become "the boss's wife." Xu Nuo once again blocked Ke Siyi's exit, offering her a 24-hour live-in bodyguard contract with triple her salary. He then instructed Zhou Yanxin to have Ke Siyi's belongings moved to his house. Feeling her dignity was being trampled on by Xu Nuo's overbearing demands, Ke Siyi indignantly refused and stormed out.
Upon returning home, Ke Siyi recounted the ordeal to Weiwei and Lin Wen. To her surprise, they analyzed the situation and concluded that Xu Nuo's offer was a perfect opportunity for her to act as a spy within Hege Group. Ke Siyi understood their logic but lamented that she had already impulsively refused. Meanwhile, the Kuang Hu fighting team was struggling with low visibility. Witnessing Weiwei and Lin Wen tirelessly distributing flyers, Ke Siyi felt guilty and sympathetic.
At the same time, Zhou Yanxin advised Xu Nuo to exploit Ke Siyi's compassionate nature. Xu Nuo, however, was preoccupied with hostile articles from a social media account called "Tiger Whistling," which accused Hege Group of ignoring corporate social responsibility and included a photo of Li Da in the hospital. The escalating public outrage forced Xu Nuo to act.
He decided to temporarily halt the Kuang Hu stadium renovation to investigate the source of the articles, announcing that the fighting team would be preserved until a new venue could be found. Aware of the team's struggles, Ke Siyi drowned her sorrows in alcohol. Lin Wen and Weiwei comforted her, assuring her they would overcome the difficulties together. When Xu Nuo called, they exchanged glances, observing Ke Siyi's reaction. Witnessing her friends' hardships solidified her resolve.
Realizing this was her last chance to help Kuang Hu, she decided to accept Xu Nuo's offer and rushed back to Hege Media. Arriving at Xu Nuo's office, Ke Siyi found him feigning illness to elicit sympathy, a tactic suggested by Zhou Yanxin. Believing he was genuinely ill, she showed concern before proposing new terms for the contract: first, Xu Nuo must not redevelop the Kuang Hu stadium, and second, she must have her own room.
She explained it was to protect the dreams of the fighters, citing her past as a former Kuang Hu student while concealing her identity as Li Da's daughter. Xu Nuo, feigning a sudden pang of pain, eventually agreed, stating he needed her in his sight at all times for his own safety. They signed the contract and a strict confidentiality agreement. Shortly after, news broke that Li Yunzhu, the "goddess of fighting," had signed with the rival Black Dragon team.
Seeing her father, Li Da, looking dejected, Ke Siyi lied about moving into the company dormitory to accommodate frequent "overtime." With Weiwei and Lin Wen's help covering for her by mentioning free meals, Li Da reluctantly agreed. Before she left, her friends gave her a "secret weapon" kit, humorously advising her on how to handle Xu Nuo. Still in disbelief, Ke Siyi boarded Xu Nuo's car, embarking on a new and unexpected life.
Episode 6 Recap
Upon her arrival at Xu Nuo's opulent mansion, Ke Siyi was awestruck by the sheer luxury, momentarily overlooking his fastidious nature. Xu Nuo immediately laid down a litany of meticulous rules: items must be returned to their precise spots, phone conversations limited to sixty decibels, no vulgar music, no purchases contradicting his taste, and personal belongings kept out of sight. Crucially, he forbade her from revealing their cohabitation to anyone at his company.
He also declared the sauna and his bathroom strictly for his use first, with Ke Siyi only permitted entry after he had finished. He then clarified Ke Siyi's purpose in his home: to protect him and ensure she avoids injury. The next morning, Ke Siyi prepared a lavish breakfast of millet porridge, soybean milk, egg rolls, and bacon.
However, Xu Nuo reacted with characteristic coldness, reprimanding her for touching his kitchen without permission and deeming her homemade meal unhygienic, stating his lawyer, Zhou Yanxin, handled his breakfast. Ke Siyi defended her actions, explaining that since childhood she had cared for her father and managed household chores.
As she stepped away to answer a phone call, Xu Nuo, drawn by the aroma, secretly began to devour the food she had prepared, which Ke Siyi observed with a subtle, knowing smile. Later that day, as Xu Nuo sought a peaceful nap, Ke Siyi's loud, off-key singing shattered the quiet. Annoyed, Xu Nuo grabbed tape, intending to silence her. In the ensuing struggle, they stumbled onto the sofa, their lips accidentally touching.
Despite the mishap, Ke Siyi playfully accused him of taking advantage of her, an accusation Xu Nuo coolly dismissed. When Xu Nuo's stomach growled, Ke Siyi offered to cook dinner. She proudly presented her "exclusive secret fried rice with egg," boasting of its ingredients and calling it "May your gold and jade fill the halls." Xu Nuo took one bite, immediately spat it out, and retreated to his room without a word.
Confused, Ke Siyi felt an inexplicable surge of sadness and a desire to cry. Meanwhile, Xu Nuo sat alone in his room, gazing at a photograph of his deceased mother. He recalled his mother had also made that same dish, yet despite the memory, he felt no emotional shift, growing annoyed by his inability to feel anything.
The following day, Ke Siyi told Xu Nuo about her unsettling emotional shifts—sudden bouts of sadness and a desire to cry, feelings she recognized as not her own. Xu Nuo scoffed, calling her neurotic. Later, at the office, his colleagues surprised Xu Nuo with a birthday cake and song. Zhou Yanxin quickly intervened, pulling Xu Nuo away, who instructed him to treat the new colleagues, acknowledging their good intentions.
Ke Siyi, observing Xu Nuo, felt a profound internal pain, believing she was mirroring his emotions. She insisted to Zhou Yanxin that she felt Xu Nuo’s deep sadness, despite his stoic appearance. Zhou Yanxin, frustrated, told her to know her place. Enraged by the celebration, Xu Nuo abruptly left the office. A remorseful Zhou Yanxin blamed himself for the incident. Ke Siyi persistently questioned him until he revealed Xu Nuo's whereabouts, driven by the intense emotions she felt.
Zhou Yanxin relented, confessing that today was not only Xu Nuo's birthday but also the anniversary of his mother's death in a car accident, a tragedy that led Xu Nuo to never celebrate his birthday again. Upon learning the truth, Ke Siyi rushed to the cemetery, where she found Xu Nuo at his mother’s grave. He was speaking aloud to his mother, mentioning his emotional detachment.
Ke Siyi approached, telling him he appeared fearful and sad but was unable to cry, and offered to cry for him. She advised him to recall his mother's embrace and hug himself when feeling sad. Xu Nuo then revealed that at his mother's funeral, he couldn't shed a tear despite being an emotional person, which led relatives to call him cold-blooded. He explained his way of coping with profound sadness was to hug himself as his mother used to.
Ke Siyi immediately recognized his story, and they both realized they were the "zero empathy" and "100% empathy" individuals from the psychological treatment program where she had been a volunteer. Meanwhile, Liang Zhixiao visited Li Da, who casually mentioned Ke Siyi had moved into the company dormitory. Surprised, Liang Zhixiao was quickly pulled aside by Lin Wen.
She warned him not to tell Li Da about Ke Siyi’s dangerous role as Xu Nuo’s bodyguard, persuading him that loving someone means respecting their choices. Hinting at his own affection for Ke Siyi, Liang Zhixiao was swayed by Lin Wen's argument that girls prefer boys who understand and believe in them. Fearing Li Da would become gravely ill if he knew the truth, Liang Zhixiao reluctantly agreed to keep quiet.
Later, Ke Siyi recounted in detail the complex emotions she felt mirroring his during the birthday incident. Convinced by her accuracy, Xu Nuo admitted that he now believed she could feel his emotions. At that moment, he suddenly clutched his stomach in pain. Realizing her own hunger was causing his agony, Ke Siyi rushed to buy him medicine.
Concerned when she took too long, Xu Nuo went to find her and was ambushed by an angry factory owner whose business he had ruined. Ke Siyi arrived just in time to shield Xu Nuo from a blow. The attacker fled. Ke Siyi felt no pain, but Xu Nuo winced in agony from the impact. This provided the first physical proof to Ke Siyi that her pain had transferred to him.
After a doctor confirmed Xu Nuo was not seriously injured, Ke Siyi, needing absolute confirmation, spontaneously slapped herself. Immediately, Xu Nuo cried out in pain, a direct and undeniable confirmation of the physical transfer. With this realization, they both affirmed their new understanding: he could feel her pain, just as she could feel his emotions. Both bewildered, they wondered why such an extraordinary exchange was occurring, pondering if it was fated love.
Episode 7 Recap
The next day, Ke Siyi apologized to Xu Nuo, finally accepting that he truly felt her physical pain, just as she experienced his emotions. She mused that their strange connection might be fated, but when she tried to hug him, he coldly offered her money. Now understanding his condition, Ke Siyi realized his coldness stemmed from an inability to feel, not true malice.
Xu Nuo warned her to keep their situation a secret from competitors and not to misinterpret his actions. Determined to fix their predicament, Ke Siyi argued that swapping back was for his benefit as well, since her injuries would transfer to him and compromise her ability to protect him. Their first attempt, head-bumping, which she found online, failed and only caused him pain. The attempt was interrupted by Zhou Yanxin, whom Xu Nuo furiously threatened to silence.
Later that night, Ke Siyi made another attempt to reverse the swap by trying to harness the power of a lightning storm, but her fear of thunder sent her hiding in Xu Nuo's arms. After he chastised her for her foolish ideas, Ke Siyi noted that she could sense he wasn't truly angry and reflected that at least she could be there to interpret his emotions for him.
Meanwhile, at the Black Dragon training gym, Li Da visited his daughter, Li Yunzhu, and overheard the coach revealing plans to market her based on her looks as an "otaku goddess" rather than her fighting skills, which he deemed subpar due to her previous training at Kuang Hu. Enraged, Li Da confronted them, insisting his daughter was an athlete, not a commodity.
However, Li Yunzhu defended her decision, arguing that Kuang Hu also profited from her and couldn't advance her career. She stated that the grueling, commercially-focused path at Black Dragon was a necessary step for her success and told her father not to visit again if he intended to persuade her to return. A stunned Li Da could only watch as she walked away.
Zhou Yanxin informed Xu Nuo that Ke Siyi’s ex-boyfriend, Liang Zhixiao, was behind a public account disparaging their company, likely motivated by jealousy. Liang Zhixiao later confronted Ke Siyi, strongly disapproving of her working as Xu Nuo’s bodyguard and moving into his home. From his office window, Xu Nuo saw Liang Zhixiao hug Ke Siyi and immediately went to intervene.
He broke them up, reminded Ke Siyi that she was not to leave his sight, and accused her of being overly familiar with her ex-boyfriend. After sending Ke Siyi away, Xu Nuo privately spoke with Liang Zhixiao. Instead of demanding he stop, Xu Nuo challenged him to continue writing and prove Kuang Hu's "indestructible value" through his words.
Later, Ke Siyi correctly sensed that Xu Nuo was the one who was upset, likely because he had seen her hugging another man. She jokingly called herself his "top match," and Xu Nuo advised her to use him as a shield if Liang Zhixiao bothered her again, cryptically adding that she shouldn't let "old love rekindle and affect my mood." Worried about Ke Siyi, Lin Wen contacted Zhou Yanxin, who arranged for her to visit the office.
There, Lin Wen witnessed Xu Nuo's overprotective behavior firsthand. He forbade Ke Siyi from doing simple office tasks for fear of injury and, upon seeing Lin Wen, called her a "violent woman" and forbade Ke Siyi from meeting her. Zhou Yanxin privately threatened to expose how Xu Nuo had engineered Ke Siyi's contract if he kept her from her friend, forcing Xu Nuo to back down.
Lin Wen told Ke Siyi that other female employees were jealous and questioned if Xu Nuo's strange possessiveness was love. Ke Siyi dismissed it as stress-induced paranoia. After Ke Siyi left, Zhou Yanxin successfully secured a lunch date with Lin Wen. Citing negative public opinion, Xu Nuo temporarily halted the gymnasium construction and used this as a pretext to formalize Ke Siyi's contract, while deliberately keeping her away from confidential documents.
At the same time, he learned from Zhou Yanxin that a competitor, Wu Dongde, was trying to poach Hege Media's top writers. Xu Nuo predicted this move, knowing that undermining Hege’s literary assets was Wu Dongde's fastest path to establishing his new company. That evening, when Ke Siyi again raised the topic of swapping back, Xu Nuo showed reluctance. He admitted that experiencing her pain, such as menstrual cramps, had given him a new understanding of others.
Their talk was interrupted by Zhou Yanxin delivering a package of books Xu Nuo had ordered for Ke Siyi, recalling his earlier comment that she should "read more books" to "suck the water out of [her] brain." This gesture made Ke Siyi see a warmer side to the "iceberg CEO." The following day, Xu Nuo implemented a new company policy granting three days of paid menstrual leave, delighting the female staff.
Ke Siyi praised his newfound empathy, but he questioned if her own lifelong, strong empathy wasn't a burden. She explained that feeling others' joy and sorrow—from the embarrassment of a teased classmate to the grief of a bereaved family—was not a burden but a connection to the shared human experience, because "they are you, and me." Listening to her, Xu Nuo was struck by her profound perspective and saw her as far less ignorant than he had previously thought, finding himself unexpectedly drawn to her.
Episode 8 Recap
As Ke Siyi is lost in thought, Xu Nuo playfully remarks that for her level of obsession, she should be paying him. He teases her, accusing her of deliberately spilling water on him just for an excuse to touch him, which she denies. Their banter is interrupted by a colleague who, seeing them together, apologizes for interrupting and quickly leaves.
Afterward, Xu Nuo instructs Ke Siyi’s department to arrange a meeting with the popular author Sika Deer, emphasizing his personal attendance to show sincerity. Meanwhile, Wu Dongde calls Ke Siyi, tasking her with obtaining the renewal terms Hege Group plans to offer Sika Deer, stressing that this information is her only priority. Shortly after, Liang Zhixiao messages Ke Siyi, informing her that Yun Zhu fainted during training and is in the infirmary.
Busy with filming, he asks Ke Siyi to check on her. Upon arriving, Ke Siyi finds a cold Yun Zhu, who is disappointed it isn't Liang Zhixiao. She rejects Ke Siyi's attempts at care, accusing her of faking sisterly affection. Yun Zhu tearfully recounts a childhood memory where she lost a competition and had a nosebleed, but had to comfort a crying Ke Siyi, who had actually won.
She claims Ke Siyi's dramatic emotions always draw sympathy, leaving Yun Zhu's own hidden pain unnoticed. When Ke Siyi argues that Yun Zhu never voices her feelings, Yun Zhu tearfully confesses her long-held love for Liang Zhixiao, pleading with Ke Siyi to stay away from him. A guilt-ridden Ke Siyi leaves and calls Liang Zhixiao, asking him to visit Yun Zhu the next day with her favorite strawberries. The painful confrontation leaves Ke Siyi questioning her sensitivity to others.
She decides to go for a morning run to clear her head, but Xu Nuo insists on accompanying her, concerned for her safety. During the run, a jostle causes Ke Siyi to twist her ankle. Due to their connection, Xu Nuo feels the intense pain and cries out, confusingly asking if he twisted his own ankle. Realizing what happened, he instructs Ke Siyi to get on his back and carries her. They find a small street-side stall for a meal.
There, Xu Nuo suddenly feels Ke Siyi’s happiness from eating the familiar food. He explains that for him, such shops evoke bad memories of part-time jobs, but the nostalgic taste also triggers his own poignant memories of his mother, causing his mood to abruptly shift to sadness. Confused by his rapid emotional change, Ke Siyi watches as he gets up and leaves. Later, as Xu Nuo heads to negotiate with Sika Deer, he tells Ke Siyi to wait outside.
Recalling Wu Dongde’s orders, Ke Siyi protests, dramatically imagining scenarios where Xu Nuo could be harmed without her. Amused, Xu Nuo allows her into the compound but makes her wait outside the meeting room, where she secretly listens by the door. Inside, the eccentric Sika Deer dismisses Xu Nuo and proposes that both Hege and Wu Dongde present their best offers at the same time the next day, and he will choose the one he prefers.
This high-handed approach frustrates Xu Nuo. On the drive back, Xu Nuo, determined to find Sika Deer’s true motivation beyond money, instructs Zhou Yanxin to research all public information on the author. Ke Siyi secretly records Xu Nuo's analysis and sends it to Wu Dongde, immediately feeling a wave of guilt. Unaware of her betrayal, Xu Nuo senses her distress and, misinterpreting it as anxiety over their sensory connection, tells her he understands.
Feeling even more remorseful after he suggests she can compensate him by being "a hundred times" better to him, Ke Siyi resolves to make it up to him. She suddenly has the driver stop and buys a half-dead jasmine plant from an elderly street vendor. Xu Nuo finds the plant unsightly, but Ke Siyi explains her empathy for the vendor and her childhood memories of her mother wearing jasmine because they couldn't afford perfume.
Deeply affected by the story, which reminds him of his own mother, Xu Nuo impulsively tries to throw the plant away, but Ke Siyi stops him. He relents and allows her to keep it in her room. Meanwhile, Yun Zhu visits Liang Zhixiao for dinner. He shares his idea for a fighting-themed variety show he hopes will become a hit, asking for her professional input.
He explains he is driven to create it for the future of Kuang Hu Sports Center and all its members. Though he clarifies it is not solely for Ke Siyi, Yun Zhu feels a pang of jealousy. Later, Ke Siyi receives a clandestine call from Wu Dongde, who meets her in the underground garage. He offers to permanently halt the demolition of Kuang Hu if she can obtain Sika Deer's final contract terms from Hege.
Burdened by this, Ke Siyi tries to get information from Zhou Yanxin, but is instead sent to buy coffee. At the coffee shop, she runs into Liang Zhixiao, who excitedly details his variety show plan to save Kuang Hu, but Ke Siyi is too preoccupied to fully engage.
Back at the office, she overhears Xu Nuo’s unique strategy: recognizing Sika Deer’s narcissism and regret over not pursuing a singing career, Hege will offer him a guest spot on a popular singing show. Confident this will appeal to Sika Deer's ego, Xu Nuo believes it will beat any financial offer from Wu Dongde. Ke Siyi quickly texts this information to Wu Dongde.
As she watches Zhou Yanxin leave to finalize the contract, Ke Siyi is wracked with guilt but rationalizes her actions are for Kuang Hu. Just then, Xu Nuo approaches to discuss Liang Zhixiao's proposal, but before he can, Zhou Yanxin calls with bad news: Wu Dongde used their idea and signed Sika Deer first. Hege has lost.
Episode 9 Recap
Following his return from the failed negotiation, a furious Zhou Yanxin began to suspect Ke Siyi's motives. His suspicions intensified after Ke Siyi finished a phone call with Wu Dongde, and he confronted her, accusing her of being a commercial spy who had betrayed Xu Nuo. Ke Siyi, who had reluctantly agreed to Wu Dongde’s demand to spy on Xu Nuo in exchange for protecting Kuang Hu, was shaken by Zhou Yanxin's interrogation.
Xu Nuo intervened, expressing his complete trust in Ke Siyi and arguing she had no motive to leak information. He explained that Wu Dongde had hired a professional consulting group capable of analyzing such data on their own. Seeing Xu Nuo’s conviction, Zhou Yanxin playfully threatened Ke Siyi with jail time if she ever betrayed their boss, then quickly assured her it was a joke and that he trusted her as well.
Their conversation was interrupted by a secretary with alarming news: a leak had led to a flood of online reports claiming that star author Mei Hualu had left Hege Group due to Xu Nuo's "exploitation." The articles further predicted that under Xu Nuo's "ruthless leadership," the company was destined to fail. This negative press was already prompting shareholders to call for a meeting. Xu Nuo immediately concluded that Wu Dongde had orchestrated the entire scheme to undermine him.
Later, Ke Siyi was surprised to find an angry Liang Zhixiao at the office, demanding an explanation from Xu Nuo for rejecting his variety show proposal. Ke Siyi tried to dissuade him, explaining Xu Nuo was already dealing with multiple crises, but Liang Zhixiao refused to wait. Xu Nuo granted him three minutes to present his case again. Liang Zhixiao passionately pitched his "Wrestle Girl" show, emphasizing its focus on "women's power" and how combat sports could empower women.
However, Xu Nuo rejected it again, stating that having wrestlers compete in an audition format was unoriginal and no different from other combat competitions, deeming the project a waste of time, money, and resources. After a dejected Liang Zhixiao left, Ke Siyi comforted him, encouraging him not to give up and to remember the "Kuang Hu spirit." The online backlash led to a tense shareholder meeting. Facing their doubts, Xu Nuo took full responsibility for Mei Hualu being poached.
He boldly promised to exceed the company's annual operating goals by the end of the year, stating that if he failed, the board could dismiss him. Listening from outside, Ke Siyi felt a mix of anger and helplessness for Xu Nuo. When she later tried to console him, he dismissed her concerns, insisting he could handle the pressure and telling her to focus on protecting herself.
Still determined to get his show approved, Liang Zhixiao discussed improvements with a colleague, who suggested inviting the popular "Wrestle Goddess," Li Yunzhu, to be the show's ultimate boss. Inspired, Liang Zhixiao arranged a meeting. As Li Yunzhu arrived at Hege Group, she nearly stumbled, and a passing Xu Nuo noticed a familiar handmade bracelet on her wrist, causing his expression to change instantly.
He was reminded of his near-fatal car accident years ago, when a stranger had tied that same lucky bracelet on his wrist, giving him the will to live. He instinctively followed her to a nearby cafe, only to see her laughing intimately with Liang Zhixiao. His heartbreak deepened upon learning that Li Yunzhu and Liang Zhixiao were childhood friends and currently dating. Seeing the intimate exchange between them, Xu Nuo felt the small flicker of hope in his eyes extinguish.
He quietly left without approaching them. When Ke Siyi arrived at the cafe, Li Yunzhu was noticeably cold towards her. Liang Zhixiao formally invited Li Yunzhu to star in the show. Hesitating, Li Yunzhu asked for Ke Siyi's opinion. Ke Siyi advised her not to feel pressured to make sacrifices for Kuang Hu. To everyone's surprise, Li Yunzhu then agreed, but on one condition: Ke Siyi must also participate, representing Kuang Hu to challenge her directly.
Li Yunzhu argued that no one else from Kuang Hu was a worthy opponent, making Ke Siyi's involvement essential. Thrown into turmoil by the memory of her father strictly forbidding her from combat, Ke Siyi said she needed time to think. That night, Ke Siyi cautiously brought up the subject of combat with her father, Li Da, who reacted with explosive anger, forbidding her from ever touching the sport again. The weight of her responsibilities to Kuang Hu became suffocating.
Later, she found Xu Nuo uncharacteristically watching television, with an interview of Li Yunzhu playing on a loop. Ke Siyi sensed a profound joy emanating from him and questioned its source, especially given his usual dislike of female fighters. Xu Nuo explained that from that day on, Li Yunzhu had become a very important person to him.
The next morning, Ke Siyi, exhausted from sensing Xu Nuo's emotional rollercoaster all night, directly asked him if the powerful emotion he felt was "love." Xu Nuo deflected, questioning if she even knew what love felt like. He then took her phone, saw Liang Zhixiao's contact saved as "Brother Zhixiao," and called him, announcing that he had changed his mind about the variety show and wanted to meet.
Delighted, Liang Zhixiao arranged for Li Yunzhu to join them, calling her the "ace" who could seal the deal. On the way to the cafe, Xu Nuo peppered Ke Siyi with questions about Liang Zhixiao's character, asking if he was a good man who could make Li Yunzhu happy. At the cafe, before Liang Zhixiao could make introductions, Xu Nuo cut him off.
Staring intently at Li Yunzhu, he recited her entire combat resume from memory: her age, training history, national championship title, international victories, nickname, fighting style, and her recent signing with Black Dragons to compete in the UFC. After his stunning display, he simply introduced himself. Li Yunzhu, taken aback, remarked to Liang Zhixiao that Xu Nuo seemed both excited and nervous.
Episode 10 Recap
As Liang Zhixiao presented the new "Wrestle Girl" proposal, highlighting that Li Yunzhu had agreed to participate as a challenger to generate interest, Xu Nuo abruptly interrupted. He directly asked Li Yunzhu if she had a wish, promising he would fulfill it. Recalling Liang Zhixiao's earlier pledge to agree to any request if he secured Xu Nuo's approval, Li Yunzhu stated that her wish was for Xu Nuo to greenlight the show.
To everyone's astonishment, Xu Nuo agreed immediately, thanking Liang Zhixiao for securing the "Asian Wrestle Goddess." As Xu Nuo excused himself for another meeting, a bewildered Li Yunzhu followed, asking if he had any other requests. Assuming she was a fan, Xu Nuo offered her a photo or an autograph as thanks for her support. After she declined, a confused Li Yunzhu wondered why he had acted so out of character.
Ke Siyi, having observed the entire exchange, sensed a distinct shift in Xu Nuo's demeanor; he was nervous and excited when shaking Li Yunzhu's hand, but relaxed and happy afterward, as if he had fulfilled a long-held desire. Determined to learn boxing to prove he could protect Lin Wen, Zhou Yanxin found Ke Siyi looking visibly upset. Lost in her own thoughts, Ke Siyi was grappling with her feelings about Xu Nuo's sudden focus on Li Yunzhu.
She posed a hypothetical question to Zhou Yanxin: how would he react if the person he liked suddenly showed great affection for someone else? Zhou Yanxin immediately identified the feeling as jealousy, stemming from the possessiveness of love. He astutely deduced that she was applying the scenario to herself, realizing she was jealous because Xu Nuo's attention had shifted from her to Li Yunzhu. " You've fallen in love with Xu Nuo!" he declared.
Flustered, Ke Siyi vehemently denied it and fled. She went to Xu Nuo's office and awkwardly asked if he liked Li Yunzhu, warning him that he could get hurt because Li Yunzhu had so many admirers. Xu Nuo dismissively asked why it should matter to her. Ke Siyi insisted it mattered because if he felt pain, she would be the one to suffer.
She then revealed she knew Li Yunzhu already had someone she liked and that she wouldn't interfere with their happiness. However, Xu Nuo pointed out Ke Siyi's obvious sadness and told her to "take your emotions away," insisting he felt "calm as water" and was focused only on work. Ke Siyi pressed him, asking why she felt like crying if he was so calm, reminding him that he could perceive his own emotions as well as hers.
Wondering aloud if her sadness was a direct result of his kindness toward Li Yunzhu, she abruptly left in distress, leaving Xu Nuo to contemplate the connection between his feelings and hers. Zhou Yanxin later arrived at Xu Nuo's office to discuss the "Wrestle Girl" show. Expecting criticism, Xu Nuo was surprised when Zhou Yanxin not only supported the decision but also expressed a newfound appreciation for women's fighting, inspired by Lin Wen.
Zhou Yanxin theorized that Xu Nuo had approved the show not to fulfill Li Yunzhu's wish, but because he had been moved by Ke Siyi's own passion for fighting, having seen her "sparkle" with that love. Xu Nuo denied this, but Zhou Yanxin persisted, comparing Li Yunzhu to a temporary "spiritual pillar" like "Hepburn" was for him, while suggesting Ke Siyi was someone who "influences you all the time." He implied Xu Nuo was mistaking gratitude for love.
Their discussion was interrupted by the unannounced arrival of Wu Dongde. After a brief confrontation with security, Xu Nuo allowed him in. Wu Dongde aggressively demanded an explanation for why the copyrights for all of writer Mei Hualu's previous works now belonged to Hege Group. Xu Nuo calmly explained that the contracts, signed during Wu Dongde's own tenure, stipulated that productions had to commence within five years of licensing.
Since that period had passed without any action, the rights reverted to Hege Group. Enraged, Wu Dongde accused them of playing "word games," but Xu Nuo coolly retorted that Wu Dongde himself had created those restrictive terms, which had now backfired. As Wu Dongde stormed out, he gestured for Ke Siyi to continue monitoring Xu Nuo to find a weakness. To celebrate the show's approval, Lin Wen, Ke Siyi, and Liang Zhixiao gathered.
Liang Zhixiao clarified that to truly save their gym, Kuang Hu, someone needed to reach the finals and defeat Li Yunzhu. Lin Wen, a former champion, admitted her back injury compromised her stamina, making it unlikely she could last against Yunzhu. Ke Siyi was hesitant to join, explaining her father strictly forbade her from fighting, fearing it would trigger a heart attack. Liang Zhixiao then proposed a solution: Ke Siyi could compete as a masked "Mystery Superstar."
This would hide her identity from her father while generating buzz for the show. He argued it was their only way to save Kuang Hu through their own efforts and assured her that if she won and became the new "Wrestle Goddess," her father would eventually understand and accept her dream. Convinced, Ke Siyi agreed, and they all toasted to Kuang Hu's future.
During the show's poster shoot, Xu Nuo was on set and ordered Ke Siyi to move a chair for Li Yunzhu. While doing so, Ke Siyi accidentally bumped into him. Observing Xu Nuo's demanding tone, Liang Zhixiao interceded, scolding Xu Nuo for his lack of sympathy toward his assistant. He then protectively pulled a protesting Ke Siyi away.
Watching Xu Nuo dote on Li Yunzhu, Ke Siyi felt a pang of jealousy, wondering why men preferred girls who were beautiful and had a blend of strength and softness. Later, Zhou Yanxin approached Xu Nuo with a method to determine his true feelings. He suggested Xu Nuo seek out individual time with both Li Yunzhu and Ke Siyi and attempt physical contact, like holding hands.
He claimed that a sports watch could measure whose touch made Xu Nuo's heart beat faster, thus revealing his true affection. Xu Nuo dismissed the idea as "boring," but Zhou Yanxin put his sports watch on Xu Nuo's wrist anyway, insisting the device would track his heart rate. As her boxing training was about to begin, Ke Siyi secretly prepared a first-aid kit.
Since any injury she sustained would cause Xu Nuo to feel her pain, she wanted to be ready. Xu Nuo noticed her hiding something and confronted her. As he moved closer, Ke Siyi's heart began to race. To explain away both the medical supplies and her frantic heartbeat, she impulsively lied that her period was about to start and that he would likely feel intense pain for a week, advising him to rest at home.
Confused, Xu Nuo later called Zhou Yanxin to ask about medication for period pain. Zhou Yanxin reacted with shock, accusing Xu Nuo of "two-timing" if he cared about Ke Siyi's period while supposedly pursuing Li Yunzhu. After abruptly ending the call, Xu Nuo glanced at the sports watch on his wrist, which now displayed a significantly elevated heart rate. To alleviate the "period pain" he believed was coming, Xu Nuo meticulously prepared brown sugar ginger tea according to online instructions.
He personally brought the warm tea to Ke Siyi, blew on it to cool it, and urged her to rest. He then carefully placed warm patches on her back and stomach, asking if she felt better. At her request, he promptly fetched her water, sweets, and even rushed off to find comic books. However, when he returned, he found Ke Siyi secretly removing a warm patch. Caught in her lie, Ke Siyi immediately clutched her stomach, feigned severe pain, and claimed she needed to rush to the bathroom.
Episode 11 Recap
Upon her lie being discovered, Ke Siyi fled to the bathroom. To make her feigned menstrual cramps believable, she inflicted pain on herself, which Xu Nuo instantly felt due to their connection. Hearing Xu Nuo's cries of agony, Ke Siyi felt assured and promptly fabricated an excuse to leave, claiming she needed a specific painkiller prepared by her father. Concerned, Xu Nuo urged her to be careful.
Ke Siyi then rushed to meet Lin Wen for training, insisting they only practice combat forms without actual hitting. She feared that if Xu Nuo discovered her secret boxing training, he might fire her. Later, Xu Nuo, still feeling the lingering pain, wondered aloud if she had taken her medicine, unaware of her true activities. The next day at the company, Xu Nuo saw Li Yunzhu, who was looking for Liang Zhixiao.
Recalling Zhou Yanxin's advice to initiate physical contact, Xu Nuo politely asked Li Yunzhu for a hug while secretly monitoring his heart rate, which showed no change. Ke Siyi witnessed the embrace. Though she feigned indifference, her anger was palpable. Later, when Xu Nuo asked if she had felt any unusual emotions on his behalf, like a rapid heartbeat, during the hug, Ke Siyi reacted with sharp sarcasm.
She called him a "blockhead" who claimed to feel no emotions but seemed to perceive feelings related to love just fine. Venting to her friends, Ke Siyi described Xu Nuo as a "playboy" who didn't deserve a name, someone who would casually hug a woman in broad daylight. She vehemently denied being in a relationship with him, but her friends suspected her strong reaction meant she was falling for him.
Meanwhile, Liang Zhixiao presented the details of a new combat competition variety show for female contestants. Despite the sound concept, he identified significant financial risks due to the recorded broadcast format, which wouldn't provide quick data feedback. To mitigate this, he proposed a live-streamed premiere, offering to halt the program and resign if the results were unsatisfactory. Impressed by his conviction, Xu Nuo agreed. After the meeting, Xu Nuo noticed Ke Siyi's absence and tried reaching her without success.
Unbeknownst to him, Ke Siyi was reporting to Wu Dongde, serving as his corporate spy. Wu Dongde was dissatisfied with her lack of significant findings, particularly Xu Nuo's reasons for backing such a high-risk show. He threatened to abandon her if she didn't cooperate. Ke Siyi erupted with frustration, complaining that living in Xu Nuo's house felt like being monitored. She then launched into an angry tirade about Xu Nuo's "playboy" behavior, ranting about how he hugged Li Yunzhu.
Observing her intense, jealous reaction, Wu Dongde speculated that she had developed feelings for Xu Nuo, which Ke Siyi fiercely denied. Ke Siyi continued to vent about Xu Nuo to Lin Wen and Weiwei, even using his name as a target during boxing practice and declaring him "the biggest scumbag in the world." Her friends were convinced she was in love, though she adamantly denied it, reminding herself of her mission to betray him.
Just then, Xu Nuo called, frantically claiming he was "dying" and demanding she return immediately. Despite her initial annoyance, Ke Siyi panicked and rushed back to his home. Upon her arrival, she found Xu Nuo perfectly fine and exercising. Realizing she had been tricked, her anger resurfaced. Xu Nuo, however, noted that his heart rate increased whenever he saw her and suggested they eat out, letting her choose the restaurant.
Pleased, Ke Siyi took him to her favorite hot pot restaurant by bus. On the ride, they both felt an electric sensation from their accidental physical contact, leading them to consciously avoid eye contact and become visibly awkward. At the restaurant, they coincidentally encountered Liang Zhixiao and Li Yunzhu. The dinner quickly became tense. Liang Zhixiao served Ke Siyi her favorite food, prompting Li Yunzhu to joke about him treating his "ex" well in front of his "current."
A street vendor approached selling a single, wilting rose. Xu Nuo initially dismissed it as overpriced, but when Ke Siyi expressed a desire for it and Liang Zhixiao also offered to buy it, Xu Nuo quickly bought the last rose and, to Ke Siyi's shock, gave it to Li Yunzhu. Furious, Ke Siyi abruptly left. Though Xu Nuo tried to appease her by buying all the remaining roses, she stormed off, yelling that roses weren't what she wanted.
Perplexed by her mood swings, Xu Nuo sought advice from Zhou Yanxin, who shrewdly deduced that Ke Siyi was jealous because she had feelings for him. Xu Nuo dismissed the idea, stating his kindness towards Li Yunzhu was merely gratitude for her saving his life, and insisted his standards wouldn't drop so low as to fall for Ke Siyi. The variety show's audition began with a demanding obstacle course.
Ke Siyi, wearing a mask to conceal her identity, competed as the "Masked Woman." While Zhou Yanxin watched the live stream, Xu Nuo, who was with him, suddenly collapsed, his face contorted in pain. Realizing this sensation was linked to Ke Siyi, he demanded to know her location. Learning she was at the filming location in Hong Qiao County, he and Zhou Yanxin immediately drove to the set, despite his intense discomfort.
Meanwhile, the Masked Woman—Ke Siyi—stumbled and fell while crossing the final barrier. Liang Zhixiao rushed to help her. Just then, Xu Nuo and Zhou Yanxin arrived. Liang Zhixiao quickly hid Ke Siyi behind him, and with Lin Wen's help, they successfully misdirected Xu Nuo, allowing Ke Siyi to escape unseen. Relieved, Ke Siyi was later informed by the judges that she had advanced based on her time at the final obstacle. Liang Zhixiao added that her impressive performance and mysterious identity had already made her a fan favorite.
Episode 12 Recap
Following the chaotic obstacle course, Ke Siyi, having changed out of her fighting attire, searched for Xu Nuo and found him assisting Li Yunzhu. Unbeknownst to her, Xu Nuo had just been asking Yunzhu about her whereabouts. Spotting Ke Siyi, Xu Nuo immediately pulled her aside. Still angry about the hug she witnessed previously, Ke Siyi tried to turn away, but Xu Nuo revealed his surprise: a car filled with fresh flowers.
He apologized, asking her not to disappear again when she was angry with him. Ke Siyi’s anger instantly dissipated, replaced by childlike joy at the romantic gesture. She playfully accepted his apology, agreeing to go home and take care of the flowers. This sudden shift left Zhou Yanxin and Lin Wen, who were watching from a distance, speechless. Lin Wen speculated that Ke Siyi had fallen for Xu Nuo, a conclusion Zhou Yanxin confirmed was "absolute."
Thanks in part to the "Masked Woman's" viral performance, the trial broadcast of "Wrestle Girl" was a huge success, leading to a highly anticipated media launch event. Xu Nuo, as Chairman of Hege Media, made a grand entrance hand-in-hand with the show's star, Li Yunzhu, drawing cheers from fans. Ke Siyi, tasked with managing the media, watched them in the spotlight with a profound sense of jealousy.
Her dejection was noticed by Liang Zhixiao, who came to stand by her side. However, Xu Nuo, observing their interaction from the stage, became jealous himself and instructed Zhou Yanxin to remind Ke Siyi that she was his bodyguard, not Liang Zhixiao's. Later, Xu Nuo found Ke Siyi and acknowledged her contribution as the "Masked Heroine," promising that Kuang Hu would have its chance to recover once she could reveal her identity.
He then asked her to dress up and have a meal with him, saying he had something important to tell her. The press conference was abruptly interrupted by Wu Dongde, a shareholder who publicly accused Xu Nuo of misusing company funds to promote a personal relationship with Li Yunzhu.
As the media swarmed, Xu Nuo calmly affirmed that the show wouldn't exist without Li Yunzhu and that he had indeed created it for her, skillfully sidestepping questions about their personal relationship. Seeing Xu Nuo protectively shield Li Yunzhu from the aggressive reporters, Ke Siyi, who was also trying to hold them back, felt her anger reignite. Backstage, Xu Nuo felt a headache coming on and instantly knew Ke Siyi was drinking. He sent Zhou Yanxin to find her.
Zhou Yanxin discovered a heavily intoxicated Ke Siyi, who tearfully called Xu Nuo a "bastard" for giving her roses while embracing another woman. Zhou Yanxin tried to explain Xu Nuo's concern for her, but Ke Siyi was consumed by jealousy. Seeing her distress, Zhou Yanxin bluntly asked if she was angry and hurt seeing Xu Nuo with Li Yunzhu. Though she denied it, he concluded, "You like him. But I think he likes you too."
He coaxed her into the car, promising to prove it on the way home. Meanwhile, Li Yunzhu asked Xu Nuo why he was so kind to her. Before he could explain their connection from three years prior, Liang Zhixiao interrupted, calling her for an exclusive interview. On the drive home, Zhou Yanxin convinced Ke Siyi of Xu Nuo's feelings, pointing out that Xu Nuo became jealous when he saw her with Liang Zhixiao.
Convinced, Ke Siyi mused to herself that Xu Nuo must like her. That night, when Xu Nuo returned home to check on her, he found her dressed in sexy pajamas with smudged lipstick. Before he could react, she forcefully pressed her lips against his. The next morning, Ke Siyi told her friends Lin Wen and You Weiwei about her impulsive kiss.
You Weiwei was thrilled for her, but Lin Wen urged caution, reminding her the original plan was to use Xu Nuo to save Kuang Hu, not to fall in love. At the same time, a flustered Xu Nuo recounted the event to Zhou Yanxin, downplaying it as her lips merely touching his without permission. Zhou Yanxin saw through the act, noting that Xu Nuo always feigned calmness when he was genuinely happy or flustered.
Both noticed the awkwardness between them; Ke Siyi had uncharacteristically avoided him that morning. Hoping to break the tension, Zhou Yanxin arranged for Ke Siyi to come over. In the living room, the two stubbornly refused to speak to each other, forcing Zhou Yanxin to relay messages. Exasperated, he scolded them for acting like children. Goaded by his frustration, Ke Siyi boldly confronted Xu Nuo: "You like me."
She pointed out that his heart rate accelerated around her, but not around Li Yunzhu. Xu Nuo pulled Zhou Yanxin aside, who listed all the evidence of Xu Nuo's feelings: tolerating her messiness, her tardiness, and his frantic searches when she disappeared. But Xu Nuo offered a shocking explanation: he could feel her physical pain, and in turn, she could feel his emotions.
He claimed his kindness was purely self-preservation, not affection, and that the "love messages" she perceived were misunderstandings caused by this bizarre connection. Ke Siyi, having overheard everything from the next room, was devastated. She stepped out and asked Xu Nuo if what he said was true. He coldly replied, "Do you truly think I would fall in love with you?" Heartbroken, Ke Siyi quietly accepted his words and abruptly left.
Zhou Yanxin rushed after her, trying to convince her that Xu Nuo was just in denial and afraid of his feelings. But Ke Siyi knew he was telling the truth. She tearfully recounted all the times he had cared for her—protecting her, making her tea, saving her a seat—and wondered aloud if her own feelings were just an "illusion" caused by the emotional transference. The gestures she had fallen for were now stripped of their meaning, leaving her to face the painful reality of his rejection.
Episode 13 Recap
After Xu Nuo bluntly dissolved the ambiguous tension between them, Ke Siyi no longer offered him a smile. When faced with Xu Nuo's cold words, she returned them in kind. After receiving a call from her father, Li Da, and confirming she was at the company dormitory, she prepared to leave. Before she departed, Xu Nuo handed her a thousand yuan, stating it was compensation for a previous physical contact and warning her against future contact.
In response, Ke Siyi accused him of overthinking and being an unfeeling "wooden man" who only cared about money. Later, Li Da made a special effort to prepare dishes for his daughter Li Yunzhu at her dormitory, hoping to make up for previous neglect. Seeing Li Da busy in the small kitchen and hearing Ke Siyi's playful remarks, a warmth spread through Yunzhu, and a faint smile touched her lips, which she quickly hid.
Li Da personally served Yunzhu a bowl of meticulously prepared rib soup, a dish he made specifically because she had previously told him she didn't like beef bone soup, admitting he hadn't known her true preferences before. He expressed a desire to make it more often to better understand her tastes. Ke Siyi, however, noticed that Li Da gave all the limited meat to Yunzhu, telling Ke Siyi to just eat corn.
The dormitory, once filled with the scent of pain-relieving balm, now smelled deliciously of home-cooked food. Liang Zhixiao met Ke Siyi at a coffee shop below the company building, presenting her with newly designed Kuang Hu team uniforms. She worried about meeting in such a public place, but Liang Zhixiao dismissed her concerns, jokingly calling it an attempt to please his ex-girlfriend.
He also asked her to remember to thank him for the "over a thousand fists" he endured while secretly training with her. Meanwhile, Xu Nuo and Zhou Yanxin, who were downstairs to buy coffee, spotted Liang Zhixiao and Ke Siyi chatting animatedly. Zhou Yanxin noted Xu Nuo's agitated reaction, observing how handsome Xu Nuo looked when angry, a sight he hadn't seen in months.
Soon after, a new product from a brand partner arrived for the female colleagues in the public relations department to try on. Xu Nuo, clearly agitated, tasked Zhou Yanxin with distributing them. When Zhou Yanxin suggested calling Tina or Amy, Xu Nuo impatiently told him to call whoever wasn't at their workstation.
Zhou Yanxin then hesitantly suggested Ke Siyi, to which Xu Nuo replied that a bodyguard should be on call 24 hours a day, confirming his desire to have her present. During their conversation, Liang Zhixiao revealed to Ke Siyi that Xu Nuo had never truly intended to disband Kuang Hu and had used it as a false premise to lure her into living with him.
Liang Zhixiao admitted he withheld this information earlier due to concerns for her safety and fear of Xu Nuo retaliating against Kuang Hu. Ke Siyi felt conflicted, especially when Liang Zhixiao pointed out that she had also deceived Xu Nuo. Feeling immense guilt and believing Xu Nuo only wanted her nearby to protect himself from their shared pain, Ke Siyi decided she had to resign. She entered Xu Nuo's office and formally tendered her resignation.
Xu Nuo vehemently rejected it, threatening to sue her, ruin her family, and make the entire Kuang Hu team pay for her actions. Ke Siyi stood firm, insisting she needed to return his emotions and reclaim her pain to separate their intertwined lives, arguing that their connection prevented them from understanding true love.
In the midst of their heated exchange, Xu Nuo clutched his side in pain, but quickly dismissed it, leaving Ke Siyi to declare her hatred for being unable to tell if the pain was his or hers, and her desire to end it. The martial arts variety show became an instant sensation, attracting numerous brands. Amidst a meeting about potential sponsors, Xu Nuo was visibly in pain, complaining that his shoes felt too small.
Unaware of his discomfort, Ke Siyi was happily trying on high heels provided by a brand, marveling that she felt no discomfort despite it being her first time wearing them. Xu Nuo, unable to bear the pain, abruptly interrupted the meeting. He strode over to Ke Siyi, picked her up, and carried her back to his office despite her protests, where he personally knelt to remove her high heels.
Producer Liang, witnessing the scene, accused Xu Nuo of harassing a female employee. However, Zhou Yanxin swiftly intervened, twisting the narrative into a heroic tale of a CEO saving an employee from falling and implying Liang was hallucinating from fatigue. Xu Nuo then sternly warned Ke Siyi not to wear "random shoes" again. Troubled by Xu Nuo's intimate actions, Ke Siyi sought solace with Li Yunzhu. Though she suggested drinks, Li Yunzhu opted for water as her coach forbade alcohol.
The two friends discussed their romantic entanglements. Li Yunzhu confessed she had grown to dislike Ke Siyi out of jealousy because Liang Zhixiao constantly hovered around her. Ke Siyi admitted she was starting to feel the same annoyance towards Yunzhu whenever she was near Xu Nuo. They playfully agreed that Ke Siyi could have Liang Zhixiao, while Li Yunzhu could have Xu Nuo.
However, their pact quickly turned competitive when Yunzhu declared that if Ke Siyi dared to pursue Liang Zhixiao, she would fight her for Xu Nuo. Later, Zhou Yanxin and Xu Nuo returned home to find Ke Siyi absent. Zhou Yanxin teased Xu Nuo for his obvious concern, suggesting it was a sign of "liking someone." When Ke Siyi finally returned, her face flushed from drinking, she formally inquired about the procedures for resignation.
Xu Nuo rejected her request, claiming it was an improper demand stemming from her confession to him and his subsequent rejection, and dramatically recounted a time she had drunkenly kissed him. Exasperated, Ke Siyi countered that when she's drunk, she "kisses anything," and to prove her point, she impulsively chased Zhou Yanxin around the house trying to kiss him, leaving Xu Nuo speechless. The next morning, Zhou Yanxin arrived to share the breakfast Ke Siyi had prepared.
To prove his theory that Xu Nuo liked Ke Siyi, Zhou Yanxin deliberately played a video of Kuang Hu's game highlights that Liang Zhixiao had meticulously edited for Ke Siyi, praising Liang's skills as an act of true love. Ke Siyi played along, adding to the praise. Provoked, Xu Nuo immediately demanded Zhou Yanxin find him a blind date.
After Xu Nuo picked a photo, Zhou Yanxin quickly excused himself, declaring he couldn't stand being around two "elementary school students" who were "fit to stay together and love and kill each other." Having fled the apartment, Zhou Yanxin drove to the Kuang Hu stadium to surprise Lin Wen after her training. He opened his car's trunk to reveal a vast collection of Sailor Moon merchandise, including manga and laser discs from 1992 to the present.
He explained he had noticed her liking several Weibo posts about Sailor Moon and wished to be her Tuxedo Mask, always protecting her. Lin Wen was deeply touched and hugged him as the other Kuang Hu team members emerged from hiding to cheer them on. As Xu Nuo had requested, Zhou Yanxin arranged a blind date for him. Sensing Ke Siyi's watchful eyes, Xu Nuo deliberately ignored her as he left for the restaurant.
Ke Siyi followed him and, from a discreet distance, observed Xu Nuo intentionally acting ambiguously with his date. He dismissively told the woman he was "just looking for someone to eat with" and that he didn't like "her type," yet flirted when she tried to wipe his watch. Watching his performance, Ke Siyi's anger rose until she remembered the high heels in her bag, a clever idea for revenge sparking in her mind.
Episode 14 Recap
Following their tense encounter at the restaurant, Ke Siyi deliberately creates a commotion by stomping around, knowing the shared pain will bring Xu Nuo to her side. He forcefully stops her, suspecting she is jealous of his blind date. Ke Siyi denies it, but as she tries to flee, she realizes that the sudden joy she feels amidst her own panic must be coming from him. Her suspicion confirmed, her panic turns to joy.
She warns Xu Nuo against any future blind dates. When Xu Nuo, a lawyer, accuses her of threats, Ke Siyi dares him to sue her. Witnessing this, their friend Lin Wen mockingly points out the cycle of jealousy: Xu Nuo's jealousy over Ke Siyi’s praise for Liang Zhixiao led to the blind date, and now Ke Siyi's jealousy is causing her to lash out at Lin Wen. Lin Wen concludes they are clearly in love.
Following this, Ke Siyi asks Lin Wen to help her request a leave of absence for the next day. Ke Siyi uses the excuse of supporting Lin Wen in her 1-on-1 knockout match to get the day off, but she is secretly a participant herself. She hesitates to compete, fearing that any injury she sustains will cause pain to Xu Nuo.
Liang Zhixiao, the show's producer, reassures her, explaining that due to her popularity, her opponents will be intentionally weaker to ensure she advances. Though she feels it's unfair, Ke Siyi agrees and delivers powerful KOs that thrill the audience. After the match, Lin Wen strategically posts photos on social media to lure Zhou Yanxin to their celebratory BBQ.
Having watched the competition, Zhou Yanxin takes the bait and rushes to the gathering, where he provokes an already annoyed Xu Nuo by gloating about having dinner with Ke Siyi. Frustrated by Ke Siyi's absence and unreturned calls, Xu Nuo paces anxiously. At the BBQ, Zhou Yanxin advises Ke Siyi not to answer, certain that Xu Nuo is furious with jealousy. As predicted, unable to reach her, Xu Nuo resorts to using their emotional connection.
He watches a series of tragic and comedic films; while he feels nothing, a happily dining Ke Siyi suddenly finds herself uncontrollably crying and laughing, bewildering everyone. Realizing she cannot ignore the emotional fluctuations, Ke Siyi calls Xu Nuo back. To prevent further distress, she hastily asks Liang Zhixiao to drive her to Xu Nuo's home. During the ride, Ke Siyi explains her emotional state is directly "because of" Xu Nuo, hinting at their complex connection, which puzzles Liang Zhixiao.
On the way, Ke Siyi vents to Liang Zhixiao, describing Xu Nuo as a "cruel" and "abusive" boss who would use the entire Hege Group legal team against her if she tried to leave. When they arrive, Liang Zhixiao sees Ke Siyi approach Xu Nuo and, recalling her words, angrily punches him. Already agitated, Xu Nuo retaliates, and the two men brawl.
Ke Siyi frantically tries to intervene, and failing to stop them, she instinctively protects Xu Nuo by kicking Liang Zhixiao aside. A triumphant Xu Nuo gloats at Liang Zhixiao, who fumes and drives away. While tending to Xu Nuo's injuries, Ke Siyi feels immense guilt, but Xu Nuo is overtly pleased. He praises her for being a qualified bodyguard, promising a 30% salary increase and revoking their rule against physical contact.
He declares that she can now get close, hug, or even kiss him when protecting him. Ke Siyi feigns anger as she walks away, but secretly, her heart swells with elation, finally certain their feelings are mutual. The next morning, Ke Siyi is secretly watering a hidden plant when Xu Nuo appears. She tries to hide it, but he surprisingly allows it to stay and even takes it to bask in the sun, admitting he has grown attached to it.
Overjoyed, Ke Siyi hugs Xu Nuo, who stiffens but doesn't push her away. She playfully suggests a kiss, referencing his new rule, only for him to point out she has sleep in her eye. Meanwhile, Liang Zhixiao, sporting an injury on his face from the fight, encourages Yun Zhu to seize a top-tier training opportunity abroad. Yun Zhu, reluctant to leave him, subtly hints at her feelings, but he seems oblivious.
Frustrated, she takes matters into her own hands, publicly announcing on social media that she likes Liang Zhixiao, not Xu Nuo. This shocks Liang Zhixiao and causes an internet stir. Despite her direct confession, he hesitates to reject her clearly, only insisting on taking her home. When pressed, he admits his affection for Ke Siyi is "love," leaving Yun Zhu heartbroken.
Yun Zhu's public confession without a clear response from Liang Zhixiao leads to widespread online ridicule, with netizens accusing her of using powerful men to advance her career. Distraught, she refuses to see a concerned Ke Siyi. Ke Siyi and her friends confront Liang Zhixiao, urging him to clarify the situation, but he refuses to lie and say he likes Yun Zhu, believing it would be more embarrassing. Seeing the harsh public judgment, Xu Nuo acts.
He has a statement released via Hege Media, claiming he was unilaterally pursuing Yun Zhu and apologizing for the trouble caused. The statement also clarifies that Hege Media, not Liang Zhixiao, invited her to the show. Xu Nuo then takes her place in an exclusive interview to protect her reputation. Ke Siyi rushes to the office after hearing the news, arriving just after the interview.
She confronts him, demanding to know why he would publicly admit to liking and pursuing Yun Zhu. Xu Nuo coldly responds that he doesn't need to report his romantic life to his bodyguard. Heartbroken, Ke Siyi leaves the office, leaving a desolate Xu Nuo behind. Later, at home, Xu Nuo cannot find Ke Siyi. Zhou Yanxin sharply criticizes him, comparing him to Liang Zhixiao for hurting one woman to protect another.
Xu Nuo explains with resignation that Yun Zhu is his lifesaver and he feels a profound debt to her. Only by fully repaying that debt, he states, can he consider his feelings for Ke Siyi without any burden. Finally, Xu Nuo confesses to Zhou Yanxin, "I think I've fallen in love with Ke Siyi," to which Zhou Yanxin simply replies, "Okay, you finally admitted it."
Episode 15 Recap
Heartbroken after Xu Nuo's public declaration for Yun Zhu, Ke Siyi seeks an outlet by throwing herself into intense training with Lin Wen for the upcoming "Wrestle Girl" variety show. Lin Wen, observing Ke Siyi's turmoil, accuses Xu Nuo of trying to date both sisters and urges Ke Siyi to leave him.
Numb from the pain, Ke Siyi finally agrees and asks Lin Wen to hit her harder, hoping the physical pain might distract from her emotional suffering, only to lament that she feels nothing. Meanwhile, at home, Xu Nuo suddenly collapses in agony, feeling the full force of the blows Ke Siyi is taking in her training. He calls her, and recalling Zhou Yanxin's advice to feign weakness, exaggerates his suffering, telling Ke Siyi he's dying.
Concerned, Ke Siyi rushes back to find him dramatically overplaying his injury. She sees through his act, mocking his exaggerated cries. Xu Nuo persists, provocatively asking if he should call his "sweetheart" Li Yunzhu for help. Just then, Yun Zhu coincidentally calls. Overcome with jealousy, Ke Siyi snatches the phone. Unaware she's speaking to Ke Siyi, Yun Zhu asserts that her heart is now "empty" and invites Xu Nuo to meet.
Taking the phone back, Xu Nuo insists he must meet Yun Zhu to clarify something and asks Ke Siyi to wait for his return. After Xu Nuo leaves, Ke Siyi expresses her frustration, questioning why he treats her so kindly if he doesn't truly like her. Xu Nuo meets Yun Zhu and presents her with a lucky bracelet, explaining it was given to him by his rescuer during a car accident three years ago.
This prompts Yun Zhu to recall the incident she witnessed with Ke Siyi, remembering how Ke Siyi urged her to call for an ambulance while she rushed to encourage Xu Nuo, who was trapped. Xu Nuo recounts being semi-conscious, only remembering a pair of hands holding his and a voice. He tells Yun Zhu he's been searching for her since, believing the cloud motif on the bracelet referred to her name, "Yun."
Realizing Xu Nuo has mistaken her for Ke Siyi, Yun Zhu subtly plays along. When Xu Nuo offers to repay her in any way, she demands they announce a relationship. However, Xu Nuo firmly rejects her, explaining that while he wants to repay his debt, the bracelet cannot buy love because his heart belongs to Ke Siyi. Stunned, Yun Zhu watches him leave and privately vows to never tell him the truth, envious of Ke Siyi's seemingly effortless good fortune.
Back home, worried that Xu Nuo will feel her pain during the next day's match and become suspicious, Ke Siyi skips training. She devises a plan to make him sleep so deeply that his senses will be dulled. She secretly adds extra melatonin to his chicken soup and milk and sprays a sleep-inducing spray on his pillow. When Xu Nuo returns, he is in a cheerful mood, having settled things with Yun Zhu.
Ke Siyi misinterprets his happiness, assuming his date went well. Before Xu Nuo can explain, she offers him the medicated soup. After he drinks it, commenting on its good taste, she announces her decision to resign and move out after her graduation. Visibly heartbroken, Xu Nuo questions her change of heart, reminding her of her past confession. Ke Siyi dismisses her words as childish nonsense and goes to bed.
The next day, Ke Siyi, as the "Masked Heroine," adopts an uncharacteristically aggressive strategy in her match. She dominates her opponent until she is startled by the sight of her father, Lin Da, in the audience. The distraction causes her to falter, and she is swiftly defeated and eliminated. Later, Liang Zhixiao discusses using the "resurrection card" with Yun Zhu to bring Ke Siyi back, but a bitter Yun Zhu scoffs at the idea.
Overwhelmed by her defeat and feeling she has let everyone down, Ke Siyi breaks down at home. Xu Nuo comforts her, taking her to a park to swing on the swingsets, telling her it was something his mother taught him to do to cast away worries. Sensing she is hiding something, he asks why she is so unhappy. When she hesitates, he assures her he will help her no matter what.
Ke Siyi warns him to be careful, but Xu Nuo reveals he is aware of the dangers and now wants to protect not just himself, but "something else." He urges her to smile for her own happiness. When she asks if he was worried about her, he playfully denies it, but she points out his tell-tale habit of touching his neck when he lies. The next morning, Ke Siyi and Xu Nuo share an awkward breakfast.
Their recent deep conversation has made their interaction strained, like a new couple. A flustered Xu Nuo, his heart pounding, quickly leaves for work as Ke Siyi assures him she will wait for him to come home.
Episode 16 Recap
Following Lin Wen's defeat in the competition, a distressed Zhou Yanxin struggled to find the right words to comfort her. He confessed that while Xu Nuo had always been the most important person to him outside of his parents, seeing Lin Wen's pain made him realize he would oppose Xu Nuo if he took action against Kuang Hu. Zhou Yanxin promised Lin Wen that he would stand by her and protect what she held dear.
As graduation approached, Ke Siyi invited her father to the ceremony, reserving a prime seat for him. However, her father, the coach of Kuang Hu, declined. He explained that all of Kuang Hu's members had been eliminated from the recent competition, and as their coach, he felt a great responsibility to analyze their mistakes and revise their training plan. Ke Siyi understood, promising to take many photos for him.
Meanwhile, at the graduation ceremony, Zhou Yanxin informed Xu Nuo that Liang Zhixiao was planning to propose to Ke Siyi that day. A frantic Xu Nuo immediately rushed the twelve kilometers from his company to the school, overcome with a mix of fear, nervousness, and excitement—emotions he realized stemmed from the fear of losing Ke Siyi. He arrived to find Liang Zhixiao holding a bouquet of roses and confessing his feelings.
Liang Zhixiao told Ke Siyi he had waited five years for this moment, recalling her past wish for someone to declare their love on graduation day, and asked her to marry him, assuring her that he had clarified things with Yun Zhu. Overcome with the fear of losing her, Xu Nuo spontaneously interrupted, confessing his own intense feelings and admitting that he had already fallen in love with her, even if he couldn't perfectly articulate it.
Ke Siyi, realizing the depth of his feelings, apologized to Liang Zhixiao. She then took Xu Nuo's hand, and they ran joyfully through the campus, eager to share their newfound relationship with everyone. Beginning their relationship, both Xu Nuo and Ke Siyi, new to romance, felt a mix of excitement and trepidation but soon found comfort in simply being their natural selves. The next morning, Ke Siyi decided to bake a cake to celebrate their first day together.
While she prepared it, Xu Nuo playfully teased her. When she asked if he sensed the "warm and sweet smell," she explained that it was the taste of love, a question he had once posed to her. He confirmed the sweetness, affirming it truly was the taste of love. Elsewhere, Yun Zhu noticed Liang Zhixiao's absence from work and learned he had taken leave after his confession to Ke Siyi failed.
Reminded that she needed to decide who would receive the resurrection card the next day, she privately wondered if Liang Zhixiao wanted her to revive "Masked Heroine." Yun Zhu then went to Liang Zhixiao's apartment, finding him surrounded by empty liquor bottles. She tidied up, offered him warm honey water, and encouraged him to get up and go out.
Liang Zhixiao, feeling the sting of rejection himself, admitted to Yun Zhu that his past words about keeping their distance had been incredibly hurtful, expressing deep regret for his former insensitivity. Yun Zhu, though angry at his self-pity, responded gently, saying she was there to spur him on, not to hear apologies. Back at the company, Ke Siyi, acting as Xu Nuo's bodyguard, fiercely intercepted a female director attempting to give Xu Nuo breakfast.
She declared that, as his bodyguard, she deemed the food and the person "dangerous" and stated that Xu Nuo did not eat breakfast from outside. Xu Nuo, despite their agreement to keep their relationship a secret, supported Ke Siyi, stating she was "his person" and that any criticism of her reflected on him. Later, he playfully scolded Ke Siyi for being so impulsive, though he admitted he liked it.
Ke Siyi then received a message from Wu Dongde, pressing her for information on Xu Nuo and reminding her of her mission to spy on him. She reflected on her initial reasons for accepting—Kuang Hu's perilous situation and Xu Nuo's then-annoying demeanor. However, since becoming his bodyguard, she had found him far less irritating. Now, as Xu Nuo's girlfriend, she was conflicted, knowing she could no longer help Wu Dongde without betraying Xu Nuo.
Just then, Yun Zhu messaged Ke Siyi, agreeing to give her the resurrection card. Ke Siyi immediately went to meet Yun Zhu, finding Liang Zhixiao already there. Liang Zhixiao attempted to mediate, urging them to put aside their past grievances. Yun Zhu, still carrying some resentment, agreed to give the card to "Masked Heroine," publicly challenging those who believed Masked Heroine's strength surpassed her own and vowing to show her true power.
Despite her lingering annoyance, Yun Zhu ultimately expressed her desire for their long-standing friendship to endure, and Ke Siyi gratefully accepted the card. Meanwhile, Xu Nuo grew anxious when Ke Siyi didn't reply to his messages, wondering if she regretted choosing him. He displayed his inner turmoil through memes, prompting Zhou Yanxin to advise him to express his true feelings rather than pretending to be calm.
Unable to hide his jealousy, Xu Nuo demanded Ke Siyi return to him within three minutes. Ke Siyi, knowing that revealing her identity as Masked Heroine in the finals would expose her deception to Xu Nuo, acknowledged that their relationship was destined to end. Yet, she decided to embrace the love she found, allowing herself to be selfish for once and enjoy the limited time they had together. She then declared to Liang Zhixiao that she would see him on the stage.
Episode 17 Recap
Fearing Xu Nuo would be seriously injured in the finals by a vengeful Yun Zhu, Ke Siyi resolves to find a way to prevent him from getting hurt because of her and decides to consult Dr. Qin. The next day, as they arrive at the clinic, Ke Siyi spots Zhang Sen, Wu Dongde's subordinate, secretly photographing them. She knows Xu Nuo uses "Lawyer Zhou's" name for his appointments to keep his alexithymia, a mental illness, private.
Panicked that Xu Nuo’s condition will be exposed and her own connection to Wu Dongde discovered, Ke Siyi concocts a desperate plan. She rushes to a convenience store and chugs iced milk, knowing she has a severe milk allergy. Due to their shared senses, Xu Nuo is immediately afflicted with intense abdominal pain. Overcome with guilt, Ke Siyi rushes him to the hospital.
At the hospital, they bicker over who is in more pain until a doctor separates them for examination. Despite his agony, Xu Nuo's primary concern is Ke Siyi. He also takes a brief call from Zhou Yanxin, telling him that Ke Siyi is unwell and he is with her at the hospital. By the time Ke Siyi gets medicine, Xu Nuo's pain has subsided, but they have missed their appointment, as Dr. Qin has already left for a business trip.
Though her plan succeeded, Xu Nuo remains worried about her frequent health issues and insists she undergo a full physical examination. Ke Siyi initially refuses, but then realizes that obtaining a copy of Xu Nuo's medical report could dispel Wu Dongde's suspicions about him having a mental illness. She agrees, bravely enduring a blood draw despite her fear of needles, comforted by Xu Nuo.
Meanwhile, Wu Dongde instructs Zhang Sen to confirm Xu Nuo's health status, confident that Ke Siyi is easy to manipulate. Later, while in the underground parking lot, Liang Zhixiao sees Ke Siyi and questions her presence. She deflects, claiming she was helping a colleague.
Recalling a time she lied about a bad grade, Liang Zhixiao gently tells her he can always tell when she's not being truthful and that she can confide in him, but a flustered Ke Siyi quickly makes an excuse and leaves. At the office, a new intern who admires Xu Nuo asks Ke Siyi to deliver a love letter to him. Seizing the opportunity, Ke Siyi waits until the office is empty and sneaks into Xu Nuo's office.
Instead of delivering the letter, she searches for the equity pledge documents Wu Dongde ordered her to find. She locates and photographs them, but Xu Nuo returns and catches her by the filing cabinet. Seeing his look of disappointment, Ke Siyi nervously presents the love letter as an excuse. Frustrated, Xu Nuo tears it up just as Zhou Yanxin enters. Sensing the tension, Zhou Yanxin immediately asks Ke Siyi if she was going through the files.
Xu Nuo intervenes, concocting a story that Ke Siyi was jealous of the letter and was trying to hide it in a folder when he caught her. Though skeptical, Zhou Yanxin reluctantly accepts the explanation, given Ke Siyi's known carelessness and Xu Nuo's firm declaration of trust in his girlfriend. Overwhelmed with guilt by Xu Nuo’s unwavering faith, Ke Siyi leaves the office.
She calls Wu Dongde, who reveals he already knows Xu Nuo is selling shares and now demands she uncover the reason for his financial crisis, planning to use the information to ruin him completely. Troubled, Ke Siyi goes to the Wishing Pond and makes a heartfelt wish for Xu Nuo's safety and happiness. Soon after, Lin Wen calls her for an urgent meeting.
Lin Wen reveals that Zhou Yanxin shared his suspicions about Ke Siyi and warned her to back off. Lin Wen urges Ke Siyi to leave Xu Nuo, but Ke Siyi refuses. She reveals her plan to act as a double agent, intending to uncover Wu Dongde's scheme to protect Xu Nuo. Despite Lin Wen’s warnings about the dangers, Ke Siyi is determined to protect the man who trusts her so completely.
That night, Ke Siyi sneaks back into Xu Nuo’s office and begins photographing documents on his desk, only to be caught by him again. This time, instead of showing anger, Xu Nuo silently embraces her and kisses her forehead. He asks about the wish she made at the pond, telling her that while the pond's magic is uncertain, he has the power to make her dreams come true. Promising she won't have to be his bodyguard forever, he vows to do everything he can to help her achieve her aspirations.
Episode 18 Recap
Following up on his promise to help Ke Siyi, Xu Nuo suddenly asked about her wish, mentioning her visit to the Wishing Pond. He asserted his ability to fulfill any wish that money could achieve. Ke Siyi playfully called him "Santa Claus" or a "dream vending machine," before jokingly insisting on recording him with her phone to ensure he wouldn't go back on his word.
Looking into the camera, Xu Nuo sincerely promised that even if she were to leave him one day, he would still do his utmost to help her realize her wishes. The next day, Xu Nuo unexpectedly called a confidential meeting with powerful business leaders, none of whom Ke Siyi or other regular employees recognized. Ke Siyi secretly photographed a secretary's seating chart and later met with Wu Dongde.
The documents she provided were merely company project files and offered no useful commercial intelligence. Having confirmed from a physical exam report that Xu Nuo had no mental health issues, Wu Dongde pressed Ke Siyi for details on the important meeting. Ke Siyi explained the meeting was temporary and highly confidential, with no company insiders present, leading Wu Dongde to deduce Xu Nuo was seeking funds by selling shares.
Wu Dongde demanded the meeting's attendee list, revealing his plan to strategically "sniper" the deal by buying back all the shares Xu Nuo sold, making Xu Nuo feel the same pain he had once inflicted. Later, Ke Siyi had a nightmare where Xu Nuo discovered her identity as a spy. His normally stoic face twisted in fury as he threw things and screamed that he hated her for lying to him. She woke up in tears.
Noticing her distracted and troubled state the next day, Xu Nuo told her to rest at home. Ke Siyi felt he didn't trust her, but Xu Nuo reiterated that his belief in her was not important; what mattered was his ability to protect her, and he urged her to trust him.
Separately, Xu Nuo met with Zhou Yanxin and asked him to prepare a resignation contract for Ke Siyi, framing it as an early termination of her internship, along with a highly favorable recommendation letter. Xu Nuo explained that he wasn't afraid of Ke Siyi harming him, but he feared she would be exploited and hurt if she remained involved in his complex world. Surprised by Xu Nuo's profound self-sacrificing desire to protect her innocence, Zhou Yanxin called him a "saint".
Lin Wen advised Ke Siyi that it was time to reveal Wu Dongde's plan to Xu Nuo, but without exposing Ke Siyi's identity as a spy. After dismissing the idea of an anonymous letter, Ke Siyi was prepared to tell him directly and risk exposing herself. Lin Wen cautioned her against it, warning that Xu Nuo's anger could lead to a breakup or even her imprisonment. Instead, Lin Wen suggested involving Liang Zhixiao.
Given his past as Xu Nuo's romantic rival, Liang Zhixiao could publish an article on his public account that appeared to attack Xu Nuo, while secretly embedding Wu Dongde's confidential plans within it. This way, the intelligent Xu Nuo would recognize the hidden message, while the public would perceive it as Liang Zhixiao's revenge. Liang Zhixiao, having already suspected Ke Siyi was hiding something about Wu Dongde, was contacted by her and she confessed everything.
He agreed to help on one condition: Ke Siyi must cease all involvement in the conflict. He warned that if she continued to meddle, he would immediately inform Xu Nuo of everything to ensure her safety. Meanwhile, Zhou Yanxin reported to Xu Nuo that he had prepared the contract for Ke Siyi, including a substantial bonus, but they couldn't locate her, as her phone seemed to have anti-tracking software. Worried, Xu Nuo decided to look for her himself.
Upon returning home, Xu Nuo found Ke Siyi silently weeping while tending to a potted plant, whose roots she had accidentally damaged. He gently asked if she was trying to protect the plant or kill it, to which she replied she was trying her best to protect it. Without asking questions, Xu Nuo took her for a walk to a wishing pond.
He reflected on Ke Siyi's past words about observing people at the pond, explaining that he now came here when troubled to watch life's diverse emotions, which gave him a sense of peace. Pondering what one's single remaining wish would be in a world of endless desires, Xu Nuo quietly expressed his own: "For you to leave me."
At the same time, Zhou Yanxin, unable to reach Xu Nuo, urgently contacted the tech department, ordering them to immediately block Liang Zhixiao's public account and delete his newly published article. Ke Siyi was deeply hurt by Xu Nuo's wish, questioning if she was so insignificant that he would "waste" his only wish on her departure. Xu Nuo thanked her for changing him and for her unwavering protection, but reiterated that it was "time to leave."
He presented the early termination plan, which Ke Siyi vehemently refused. Citing her father's poor health and his potential worry if she became unemployed, she demanded to stay until she found a new job. Xu Nuo offered to suspend her with pay but insisted she no longer come to the company or live in his house.
Realizing he intended to break up with her, Ke Siyi called him a "love rat" and defiantly declared she would never accept being fired or moving out, threatening to cause trouble if he forced her. Xu Nuo stated he had to meet Zhou Yanxin and left, telling her she no longer needed to follow him. The next day, Xu Nuo and Zhou Yanxin confronted Liang Zhixiao about the article. Liang Zhixiao defended it as a legitimate piece of business journalism.
Xu Nuo sternly rejected the unsolicited help, warning Liang Zhixiao that this was a war between him and Wu Dongde that he had no right to interfere in. He added a legal warning: if Liang Zhixiao meddled further and was discovered by Wu Dongde, he could face charges for disclosing trade secrets, and Hege's legal team would not protect him. Liang Zhixiao informed Ke Siyi that Xu Nuo had seen the article and had it removed.
They concluded the situation was more complex, speculating that Xu Nuo and Wu Dongde were setting traps for each other. Liang Zhixiao urged Ke Siyi to leave as Xu Nuo wished, but she firmly refused. Declaring that Wu Dongde's formidable nature was precisely why she couldn't abandon Xu Nuo, she stated her resolve to protect him was as strong as Liang Zhixiao's desire to protect her.
Back at Xu Nuo's home, Ke Siyi confronted him and tore up the termination contract. She adamantly declared she would not resign, as termination required mutual agreement, and she would not move out while she was still his bodyguard. Later, as Xu Nuo watered the damaged plant, he reflected on Ke Siyi's words about trying her best to protect it.
He realized the article wasn't Liang Zhixiao's idea; it was Ke Siyi who was trying to protect him, with a determination as profound and unwavering as her desire to save the flower.
Episode 19 Recap
Drawing from recent events, Xu Nuo deduces that the misunderstandings and strange occurrences surrounding him are all orchestrated by Ke Siyi. He theorizes she is a pawn for Wu Dongde but is genuinely trying to protect him out of her affection for him. Moved but concerned, Xu Nuo decides to investigate the truth while ensuring Ke Siyi's safety. He has Zhou Yanxin contact Lin Wen to find Ke Siyi's whereabouts and learns she is at Chunle KTV.
Xu Nuo immediately heads there. Meanwhile, Yunzhu, whose departure for overseas training is set for the 27th, also arrives at the KTV, spurred by a social media post showing Liang Zhixiao with Ke Siyi. Inside the lively room, a heavily intoxicated Ke Siyi gets into a verbal spat with Yunzhu. To provoke her, Yunzhu first hugs Liang Zhixiao and then dares Ke Siyi to kiss Xu Nuo.
As Ke Siyi drunkenly accepts the dare, Xu Nuo intervenes to de-escalate the situation by forcefully carrying her out. Left behind, a crestfallen Yunzhu informs a conflicted Liang Zhixiao about her imminent departure before leaving abruptly. The next morning, Ke Siyi awakens in Xu Nuo's bed. Though her clothes are intact, she recalls Xu Nuo's drunken declaration of "She is my woman" and a fuzzy memory of being kissed.
Panicked, she flees the room, only to run directly into Zhou Yanxin, who has just arrived. As Ke Siyi dashes away, Zhou Yanxin confronts a flustered Xu Nuo with damning video evidence of him drunkenly kissing Ke Siyi. Shocked by his uncharacteristic loss of control, Xu Nuo orders Zhou Yanxin to find and delete all copies of the video from everyone's phones and social media, threatening to fire him if he fails.
Amused by his boss's transformation into a lovesick fool, Zhou Yanxin teases him until Xu Nuo dismisses him in frustration. Left alone, Xu Nuo reflects on his recent erratic behavior. Simultaneously, Ke Siyi, accompanied by You Weiwei, gets a complete makeover at a salon. While she is preoccupied, Lin Wen calls Xu Nuo and reveals a "love checklist" from Ke Siyi's diary, urging him to fulfill her romantic wishes.
Taking note, Xu Nuo summons Zhou Yanxin and explains that he anticipates a grim outcome from his investigation and wants to create one last, perfect memory for Ke Siyi before their relationship potentially ends. When the newly styled Ke Siyi returns to the office, she stuns everyone with her confident new look. Xu Nuo immediately invites her on a date to Snow World, taking her hand and leading her out before the astonished onlookers.
Following the checklist, Xu Nuo takes Ke Siyi to her beloved Snow World. As they enjoy the attractions, Xu Nuo secretly consults encouraging texts from Lin Wen, who provides tips for fulfilling Ke Siyi’s romantic dreams. Ke Siyi tells Xu Nuo he is her "Mr. Right" and that the date is a dream come true. Xu Nuo admits he is inexperienced with dating but is happy as long as she is.
When Ke Siyi mentions a drama scene where the hero kisses the heroine in the snow, Xu Nuo later recreates the moment, kissing her gently as the snow falls. Meanwhile, Wu Dongde is updated on Xu Nuo's relationship with Ke Siyi. He is informed that his legal team has arranged for Mr. Jiang to acquire all the shares Xu Nuo recently sold, bringing them under Wu's control.
Learning that Xu Nuo’s loan application was rejected and that Zhou Yanxin is desperately seeking funds, Wu senses his rival is in a financial crisis. He plans to acquire "scattered shares" from other Hege Group investors, intending to deliver a fatal blow at the most opportune moment. Zhou Yanxin's investigation into Ke Siyi's background yields significant results.
He uncovers her dormant secondary social media account, which reveals a close sisterly relationship with Li Yunzhu, the adopted daughter of Ke Siyi's father, Coach Li Da of the Kuang Hu team. Her phone records show frequent contact with Wu Dongde, a suspicious outlier in her social circle. Furthermore, Zhou Yanxin finds Ke Siyi's application for the "Wrestle Girl" variety show, though she is not on the official roster.
He deduces she is the popular masked fighter, with Liang Zhixiao likely helping to conceal her identity. Armed with this information, Zhou Yanxin confronts Lin Wen. She is furious about his unauthorized investigation, but a hurt Zhou Yanxin questions how she could maintain such an elaborate lie. Lin Wen apologizes, admitting she became involved for the sake of the Kuang Hu team. When Zhou Yanxin remains cold, she desperately pleads with him not to tell Xu Nuo.
To explain her loyalty, Lin Wen reveals that Coach Li took her in when she was homeless, and Ke Siyi taught her how to defend herself and supported the team by working tirelessly through university. For the first time, Lin Wen felt the warmth of family. She emphasizes that Ke Siyi has always lived for others and now, for the first time, wants to fight for her own happiness by experiencing love with Xu Nuo.
She reminds Zhou Yanxin that Xu Nuo also loves Ke Siyi and that the truth will be revealed after the final competition next week, when Ke Siyi will unmask and confess everything. As a final request, she begs him to wait. Overwhelmed and conflicted, Zhou Yanxin turns his back in silence. Seeing no response, Lin Wen quietly exits the car and walks away.
Episode 20 Recap
Ke Siyi led Xu Nuo to the Wishing Pond, explaining that since falling in love, she had become greedy, wanting to give him all her wishes. She shared that this particular wish was her last one: for Xu Nuo to regain his ability to feel emotions and love, even if they were to part someday, so he wouldn't be lonely. However, Zhou Yanxin called, requesting Xu Nuo's presence, leading Xu Nuo to leave Ke Siyi to make her wish alone.
Meanwhile, Zhou Yanxin presented Xu Nuo with extensive information, revealing Ke Siyi's true identity as Li Da’s daughter, not merely a fan of Kuang Hu, and also implicating her as an associate of Wu Dongde. Zhou asserted that Ke Siyi had been lying from the very beginning, using her role as Xu Nuo’s bodyguard to meticulously plan her approach. He also uncovered that Li Yunzhu was Li Da’s adopted daughter.
Zhou was furious, claiming that Liang Zhixiao, Ke Siyi, Lin Wen, Li Yunzhu, and You Wei had all collaborated to weave a complex web of deceit, trapping them all. Despite Zhou Yanxin’s anger and insistence that Ke Siyi was a manipulative liar, Xu Nuo remained calm. He acknowledged that Ke Siyi had indeed lied to him but firmly believed her intentions to protect him were genuine, that she truly feared his pain and wanted him to embrace the world.
Xu Nuo decided to forgive Ke Siyi and implored Zhou Yanxin, and by extension Lin Wen, to conceal their knowledge of the situation from Ke Siyi, fearing it would disrupt her focus for the upcoming Wrestle Girl finals. As Xu Nuo finished speaking, Ke Siyi called out to him, prompting him to rush to her side. At that moment, Doctor Qin called, urgently requesting both Xu Nuo and Ke Siyi to come to the clinic.
At the clinic, Doctor Qin explained that during their last treatment, an electrical overload in the headgear had caused an error, resulting in the severe headaches and discomfort they experienced. Xu Nuo, however, dismissed any need for accountability, stating they were willing to undergo the final treatment again. They both re-entered the treatment rooms and donned their helmets. Shortly after the treatment began, the current fluctuated once more, causing intense pain.
Doctor Qin quickly moved to adjust the machine, but both Ke Siyi and Xu Nuo were forced to rip off their helmets due to the unbearable agony. Emerging from the lab, Ke Siyi excitedly exclaimed that she could feel pain again, confirming her ability to fight without Xu Nuo having to endure her suffering. Xu Nuo, in turn, realized his emotions had returned.
They discussed how, after their previous session, Ke Siyi's pain had transferred to Xu Nuo, and his emotions to her, a phenomenon Doctor Qin had dismissed as merely "love sickness." Although relieved, both Ke Siyi and Xu Nuo expressed anxieties about whether their feelings for each other had been mere illusions caused by the exchange of senses.
Ke Siyi feared Xu Nuo might no longer care for her if he didn't feel her pain, while Xu Nuo worried Ke Siyi might realize her love for him wasn't real without his emotions affecting her. Xu Nuo quickly reassured Ke Siyi that his love for her was "double portion" and that all his unease vanished when she was by his side. Ke Siyi, seeing his happy expression, truly understood the feeling of happiness.
With their fears allayed and their mutual feelings confirmed, they embraced, deeply moved. Meanwhile, Wu Dongde convened a private meeting with several Hege Group shareholders. He presented a shareholding ratio chart, highlighting how Xu Nuo's stake had been diluted to a point where he could be easily removed from the board. Wu Dongde then displayed a stock price trend, arguing that Hege's stock had inexplicably fallen despite no negative news or operational issues, alluding to Xu Nuo's alleged mismanagement.
He claimed that Xu Nuo, facing a crisis, had sold shares at a low price, and he, Wu Dongde, had secretly bought them all to "save" the company. Accusing Xu Nuo of being reckless, arbitrary, and arrogant, and labeling him a "pure enterprise hunter" lacking management skills, Wu Dongde urged the shareholders to sign an agreement to dismiss Xu Nuo from all his positions at Hege and support his own return to lead the company.
The day of the Wrestle Girl finals arrived. As Yun Zhu warmed up, Liang Zhixiao approached her, embracing her warmly. He thanked her for her continuous help and support. Yun Zhu, blushing, asked him to promise her one request if she won the match. Liang Zhixiao readily agreed, stating he would fulfill any request for her. Yun Zhu, feeling invigorated by his unwavering support, promised to give her best.
The announcer introduced the two finalists: the undefeated "Wrestle Goddess" Li Yunzhu, with a record of seventeen wins and nine knockouts, and her highly anticipated opponent, the "Masked Woman," an amateur fighter with a formidable reputation. The match began with intense energy. The Masked Woman, who was Ke Siyi, skillfully employed her fist and leg techniques to avoid being dragged to the ground, a known strength of Li Yunzhu and a weakness for Ke Siyi.
Xu Nuo, watching intently, grew increasingly anxious, visibly reacting to every hit and expressing worry about Ke Siyi's pain. Zhou Yanxin, observing Xu Nuo's raw emotions, remarked it was like witnessing a miracle. At one point, Xu Nuo, concerned by the force of Li Yunzhu's punches, even considered using his status as a sponsor to stop the fight.
After a grueling first round, both fighters showed signs of exhaustion, but when the bell rang for the second round, they resumed with full intensity. In the final moments, Ke Siyi landed a decisive punch on Yun Zhu’s face, securing a narrow victory by a single point. The crowd erupted in cheers, but Yun Zhu remained frozen, unable to accept her defeat. Ke Siyi, overjoyed, celebrated with her Kuang Hu team members.
Prompted by the crowd, she removed her mask, proudly introducing herself as Ke Siyi from Kuang Hu, trained by Coach Li Da. She publicly apologized to her father, Li Da, for breaking her promise, but expressed immense joy in wearing her boxing gloves again, confessing her deep love for wrestling.
She then turned to Xu Nuo, tearfully apologizing for lying to him, reiterating that she was not just Ke Siyi of Kuang Hu, but "even more, the Ke Siyi who loves you." Xu Nuo, though heartbroken by her past deceit, was visibly moved, his eyes welling up with tears, happy to see her realize her dream. Suddenly, a secretary burst into the arena, announcing that Wu Dongde had brought people to Hege Group.
Indeed, Wu Dongde, accompanied by shareholders and a throng of reporters, stormed into Xu Nuo's office. Wu Dongde triumphantly displayed the signed agreement, effectively dismissing Xu Nuo from all his positions as General Manager of Hege Media Group and its subsidiaries, and declared himself the new Chairman and CEO, effective immediately. Xu Nuo, attempting to buy time, requested a ten-day handover period, which Wu Dongde smugly granted.
Wu Dongde then gloated, openly exposing Ke Siyi's identity as a "spy" and mocking Xu Nuo for being "fooled" and "played" by such a "stupid woman." Enraged by Wu Dongde's slanders against Ke Siyi, Xu Nuo grabbed his collar, ignoring the glaring media spotlight. Wu Dongde then whispered a chilling threat into Xu Nuo's ear: if he didn't surrender, Ke Siyi would be "crushed like an ant," menacingly referencing the deaths of Xu Nuo's parents as a warning.
Upon seeing the news, Lin Wen and Ke Siyi immediately rushed to Hege Group. The building was besieged by a dense crowd. Ke Siyi, determined to reach Xu Nuo, hurried through the underground parking lot. However, Wu Dongde’s subordinates ambushed her there, stunning her with an electric baton and abducting her. After Wu Dongde finally left Xu Nuo’s office, Lin Wen, unable to reach Ke Siyi, frantically informed Xu Nuo, causing him to panic.
They quickly reviewed the surveillance footage, which showed Ke Siyi entering the underground garage, but a crucial camera malfunctioned, obscuring any further view. Xu Nuo, learning the exact location of the malfunctioning camera in the southwestern corner of the parking lot, rushed there. After an intense search yielded nothing, the sudden screech of tires announced a suspicious black car speeding away. Xu Nuo looked back to find Ke Siyi lying unconscious in the very spot the car had just vacated.
As Zhou Yanxin hurried to retrieve a car, Xu Nuo embraced the unconscious Ke Siyi, holding her close as a rush of memories flooded his mind, reminding him of her earlier promise to protect him, and solidifying his unwavering resolve to shield her with all his might.
Episode 21 Recap
Following her loss in the final, Yunzhu sat despondently in the locker room. Her father, Li Da, found her, just as he used to when she was a child and would hide after losing a match. While happy for Ke Siyi's victory, Li Da had come to comfort his daughter. Yunzhu confronted him, revealing she knew he had long been aware that Ke Siyi was the Masked Heroine.
She tearfully expressed her frustration, questioning why he had forced her into becoming a fighter while Ke Siyi, despite her greater natural talent, was allowed to attend college and receive dolls. Yunzhu's own childhood was filled with nothing but constant training, injuries, and boxing gloves. She resented that her path was fraught with pain while her adopted sister seemed to walk a bright road.
Pained by her words and realizing the depth of her resentment, Li Da tearfully apologized, admitting he thought she genuinely liked boxing and never knew she wished to attend university. He insisted that both she and Ke Siyi were equally important to him and that her happiness mattered more than any championship. Seeing her father's tears, Yunzhu felt remorseful for hurting him and acknowledged her fault in constantly comparing herself to Ke Siyi.
She embraced him, and the father and daughter reconciled. Soon after, Ke Siyi regained consciousness in the hospital, only to be met by Xu Nuo's cold demeanor. Xu Nuo bluntly stated that since her championship would bring sponsors to Kuanghu, he no longer needed to use her. He then declared their breakup, accusing her of causing him significant financial loss and expressing his shame at being used and harmed by someone he called "stupid," dismissing all his past promises.
Lin Wen tried to intervene, passionately asking for whom Ke Siyi had been thrown from a car, but Zhou Yanxin pulled her away. Heartbroken, Ke Siyi struggled to get out of bed, pleading with Xu Nuo not to leave her and even offering to endure physical blows instead. She reminded him of his promise to fulfill her wishes, but Xu Nuo twisted his earlier commitment, stating that the prerequisite for his help was that she must leave him.
When Ke Siyi refused, he threatened to immediately proceed with the demolition of Kuanghu. As Xu Nuo walked away, Ke Siyi was left stunned, watching a video on her phone where he had promised to do everything he could to help her, but only if she left him. On the way home, Lin Wen watched Ke Siyi trying to maintain her composure while struggling to contain her sobs, feeling deep sympathy for her friend.
Meanwhile, Liang Zhixiao arrived at Yunzhu's door, expecting to find her devastated by the loss. To his relief, Yunzhu had already adjusted her mindset. She was packing to return home early to spend time with Li Da, explaining that while she lost the match, she had resolved a long-standing internal conflict, so she felt she had gained something more valuable. She added that since Ke Siyi won, their family was still victorious.
While helping her pack, Zhixiao discovered a past championship reward he had given her. Before he could inquire further, Li Da called Yunzhu with distressing news about Ke Siyi. Zhixiao then informed Yunzhu that Wu Dongde was accusing Ke Siyi of being a spy, though Xu Nuo reportedly had no intention of pursuing the matter. Concerned, Yunzhu and Zhixiao rushed back home.
Upon returning, they found Ke Siyi inconsolable, weeping over the news that Xu Nuo would be stepping down as Chairman and CEO of Hege Media the following week. She blamed herself, fearing Xu Nuo would never forgive her. At the same time, Xu Nuo was alone at home, watching videos of Ke Siyi's fights, also in tears.
Zhixiao voiced his strong disapproval of Xu Nuo's actions, condemning him as inhumane for his harsh treatment of Ke Siyi, especially given her sacrifices. Yunzhu, witnessing Ke Siyi's distress, employed a method from their childhood to comfort her. She began singing a playful rhyme, "Sister is a cry-baby, cry-baby, stop crying, or you'll become a crying ghost!" This familiar tune brought a faint smile to Ke Siyi's face, but she still expressed profound heartache.
Feeling apologetic for her own past annoyance at Ke Siyi's tears, Yunzhu resolved to address the situation directly with Xu Nuo. Zhou Yanxin found himself overwhelmed by Xu Nuo's sudden emotional outbursts. Dr. Qin explained that this was a normal manifestation of his recovering alexithymia, like a floodgate opening after years of suppressed feelings, and advised Zhou Yanxin to get used to it.
This did little to soothe Zhou Yanxin, who was already upset from his own quarrel with Lin Wen. He expressed his frustration to Xu Nuo, criticizing his erratic behavior. Xu Nuo remained resolute, explaining that he had to force Ke Siyi away for her own protection until everything with Wu Dongde was settled. Just then, Yunzhu called, insisting on an immediate meeting to repay a "life-saving favor" Xu Nuo owed her. Reluctantly, Xu Nuo agreed.
They met, and Yunzhu presented two lucky bracelets, revealing they were heirlooms from Ke Siyi's mother. She confessed that Ke Siyi had given one to her and the other to a stranger involved in a car accident—Xu Nuo. Xu Nuo noticed the character "Yun" engraved on the bracelet, which Yunzhu clarified was the name of Ke Siyi's mother. This revelation stunned Xu Nuo, strengthening his belief that he and Ke Siyi were destined to be together.
Later, Zhou Yanxin delivered a plant to Ke Siyi's home from Xu Nuo, encouraging her to live on and grow strong. Returning to Xu Nuo, Zhou Yanxin expressed his own agony, stating Ke Siyi's deep empathy only amplified his own sadness over his situation with Lin Wen. He declared he could no longer stand by and announced his decision to seek reconciliation with Lin Wen immediately.
Xu Nuo vehemently warned him that such a move would jeopardize his efforts to protect Ke Siyi, but Zhou Yanxin countered that any further delay would irreversibly damage his relationship with Lin Wen, as she was already seeing another man. He reasoned that Ke Siyi, being kind-hearted, would eventually come back, but the stubborn Lin Wen would not. Apologizing to Xu Nuo, Zhou Yanxin insisted on leaving, promising only to make amends with Lin Wen and not interfere. His departure left Xu Nuo to grapple with his own difficult position, his love for Ke Siyi undeniable but caught in an impossible situation.
Episode 22 Recap
Lin Wen, overwhelmed by an endless barrage of roses from Zhou Yanxin, sought help from You Weiwei, but nothing stemmed the flow. Finally, the martial artist Lin Wen intimidated the delivery person, forcing Zhou Yanxin to appear himself. He pleaded for her forgiveness with a heartfelt public apology, declaring his love and willingness to accept Ke Siyi being more important or even to endure her "domestic violence."
He offered to use money saved for a car to buy her comic books, begging for a chance to be responsible. Though Lin Wen initially dismissed him, Zhou Yanxin desperately held onto her, begging her not to date others or ignore him. He admitted his deception but expressed frustration that she was holding a grudge. Lin Wen clarified she wasn't truly angry, but was testing his love and felt hurt when he defended Xu Nuo at the hospital.
Zhou Yanxin maintained that Xu Nuo’s wrongs were his own and promised to condemn Xu Nuo alongside her, even if he couldn't sever ties with him. He reaffirmed his profound love for Lin Wen, finally winning her back. Meanwhile, Xu Nuo passed the Kuanghu rebuild plan to his secretary for immediate implementation. With Wu Dongde assuming the presidency the following week, Xu Nuo used his final days of authority to push the plan through.
Upon hearing the news, Wu Dongde was overjoyed, believing it confirmed Xu Nuo had completely cut ties with Ke Siyi. He celebrated gaining the profitable Kuanghu property without having to make a move himself. Later, Liang Zhixiao excitedly gathered the Kuanghu team, revealing the good news that ten companies had offered sponsorships since their show's finale. Ke Siyi, however, was still worried about their affiliation with Hege Group.
Zhixiao then delivered the devastating news: Xu Nuo had signed the plan to rebuild Kuanghu as his last official act as president. Frozen in disbelief, Ke Siyi wondered aloud if Xu Nuo truly hated her that much. Xu Nuo called his mentor, Jack, questioning a delay in their investment payment. Jack explained that an intention agreement isn't a guarantee and expressed concern that Xu Nuo's emotional state made him a risky "hunter" rather than a steady "farmer."
Understanding, Xu Nuo promised to send a new business plan. Witnessing the call, Zhou Yanxin called Jack a "devil," to which Xu Nuo replied that only a devil could be his mentor. Just then, Ke Siyi arrived at Xu Nuo's door, distraught to find the passcode changed. She banged on the door, calling his name, while inside, Xu Nuo and Zhou Yanxin hid in silence.
As Ke Siyi dejectedly walked away, a concerned Xu Nuo had his subordinate, Uncle Zhang, confirm she was in a daze. He then followed her in his car, watching her slow, dispirited steps but sticking to his plan not to approach her. At the training ground, Li Da subjected You Weiwei and the others to intense drills, demanding to know why Ke Siyi was so distracted.
When his pressure tactics failed on You Weiwei, he turned to Yun Zhu, who, realizing the truth could no longer be hidden, confessed the details of Ke Siyi’s heartbreak. Soon after, Liang Zhixiao discussed sponsor negotiations with Li Da, acknowledging that while these were great opportunities, Ke Siyi’s emotional state was a concern. You Weiwei, a self-proclaimed 'love expert,' suggested that Liang Zhixiao pursue Ke Siyi to help her move on.
Their conversation was interrupted by Zhou Yanxin, who arrived with a box of Ke Siyi's belongings from Xu Nuo's home. Silently taking the box, Ke Siyi became lost in sorrowful memories. Enraged by his daughter's despondency, Li Da confronted her, angrily demanding to know what had happened to her optimism and toughness. He reminded her she was his precious daughter and that her pain was affecting everyone.
Moved by the concern of her father and friends, Ke Siyi finally snapped out of her despair, apologizing and embracing them. To lift their spirits, Li Da then offered to treat everyone to karaoke. That night, as Xu Nuo and Zhou Yanxin worked on their "Star-Picking Plan," Lin Wen called to break up with Zhou Yanxin.
Furious over Xu Nuo's actions, she declared they would not reconcile until Ke Siyi had completely forgotten Xu Nuo, stating that Zhou Yanxin's presence only caused Ke Siyi more pain. Zhou Yanxin protested, but Xu Nuo firmly pushed him back to their work. Later, Yun Zhu confided in Ke Siyi that she wanted to forgo her MMA training in America and stay to help revitalize Kuanghu.
Knowing it was Yun Zhu's dream, Ke Siyi lovingly encouraged her to go, become a world champion, and make the Kuanghu name proud. Reassured by Ke Siyi's promise that "home has big sister," Yun Zhu confessed her long-held resentment, admitting she used to feel that their father favored Ke Siyi and thought she hated her. But seeing Ke Siyi so hurt made her realize she cared deeply and wanted to protect her, concluding, "Only I can bully you.
No one else." Releasing their past resentments, the sisters' bond deepened. Empowered by this support, Ke Siyi's strength returned. The next morning, she prepared a bountiful breakfast for everyone, showcasing her newfound energy. Meanwhile, Xu Nuo sat alone in his home, singing mournfully, surrounded by memories of his time with Ke Siyi.
Episode 23 Recap
Feeling disheartened after several meetings with potential sponsors who were only interested in commercial gain rather than genuinely supporting Kuang Hu, Ke Siyi expressed her frustration. However, Liang Zhixiao assured her there was still one more hopeful prospect. Meanwhile, Lin Wen's guided tour took an unexpected turn when she discovered Zhou Yanxin was her only passenger.
She feigned anger and tried to leave, but Zhou Yanxin playfully chased after her, admitting he had intentionally booked all the spots to get her attention and mend their relationship. Elsewhere, Li Yunzhu met with You Weiwei, who initially joked that Yunzhu wanted advice on pursuing Liang Zhixiao.
To You Weiwei's shock, Yunzhu revealed she actually wanted to help Liang Zhixiao pursue Ke Siyi, believing that if two of the three heartbroken friends could find happiness, her own pain would be worth it. Liang Zhixiao then introduced Ke Siyi and Li Da to Ms. Yu Jiayan, the final potential sponsor.
Yu Jiayan revealed herself to be a dedicated fan of the Masked Woman, not for the fighting itself, but for Ke Siyi's pledge to "swing her fist at all injustices." This resonated with the values of her own women's clothing company. She demonstrated an impressive knowledge of the team members' personal stories, recognizing a profound "female power" in their journeys.
Acknowledging Kuang Hu's management issues, Yu Jiayan stated that was her area of expertise and outlined three clear requirements for her sponsorship: first, separating management from training; second, separating professional and amateur training tracks; and third, having Ke Siyi become Kuang Hu's official spokesperson. Convinced by Yu Jiayan's genuine understanding and clear vision, Ke Siyi eagerly accepted the offer. At a restaurant, it was revealed that Yu Jiayan's sponsorship was orchestrated by Xu Nuo.
She was repaying a past favor where he had saved her company from a crisis. Though he insisted their current arrangement was purely business, Xu Nuo couldn't hide his concern, asking if Ke Siyi was happy with the deal. Later, Xu Nuo spoke with his master, Jack, revealing the full extent of his intricate "Star Picking Plan."
He explained that he had systematically transferred Hege's core assets, like Hege Video and Hege Literature, to his new company, Nebula Entertainment—named in honor of his father's old company. The plan was a trap for Wu Dongde, designed to make him invest his fortune into Hege, only to have his shares diluted by Spectral Capital's investment while the valuable assets were already gone.
To prove his honorable intentions, Xu Nuo pledged to use 30% of Nebula's pre-listing profits to compensate Hege's original shareholders. With Wu Dongde's takeover just 24 hours away, Xu Nuo gave Jack 12 hours to commit the funds. That evening, Ke Siyi found her way into Xu Nuo's office. Believing the news reports that he was financially ruined, she sincerely offered to support him with her boxing earnings, promising to maintain his "president's lifestyle."
To push her away for her own safety, Xu Nuo feigned anger and called security. Undeterred, Ke Siyi declared her unwavering love and vowed to return. The next day, during the live-streamed Hege Group handover ceremony, Xu Nuo calmly stalled for time while awaiting Jack's confirmation. Just as Wu Dongde confidently pushed him to sign the papers, a message from Jack arrived: the funds were transferred.
With Spectral Capital's investment, Xu Nuo announced they were now Hege Media's largest shareholder, nullifying Wu Dongde's claim to the chairmanship. He then delivered the second blow: all core entertainment assets had been legally transferred to Nebula Entertainment. Wu Dongde erupted in fury, but Xu Nuo calmly countered that the process was fully compliant and a necessary move for Hege's future. Emerging victorious, Xu Nuo addressed the media.
However, when he saw Ke Siyi in the crowd, he approached and coldly rebuked her, threatening legal action to publicly sever all ties. Heartbroken, Ke Siyi watched him leave. Once inside the elevator, Xu Nuo's confident facade crumbled. He explained to a confused Zhou Yanxin that he had to push Ke Siyi away to protect her from Wu Dongde's inevitable retaliation and asked him to warn Lin Wen as well.
To make the separation convincing, Xu Nuo asked Zhou Yanxin to introduce him to a female celebrity for a public "date." Later, Ke Siyi was punching a bag at the gym when Yunzhu arrived. She proposed a farewell dinner for the three of them and Liang Zhixiao before the gym was demolished. Ke Siyi reluctantly agreed, unaware it was a setup. At the restaurant, Yunzhu bailed with an excuse, leaving Ke Siyi and Liang Zhixiao alone.
They quickly realized it was a matchmaking attempt, but both were comfortable in their solid friendship. As they were leaving, Ke Siyi spotted Xu Nuo on a date. When she saw a paparazzo taking photos, she angrily confronted him. To her shock, Xu Nuo intervened, told the photographer to continue, and revealed the entire scene was staged. He then formally introduced the woman by his side, Lin Li, as his new girlfriend.
Episode 24 (Ending) Recap
When Ke Siyi confronted a paparazzo for taking photos of Xu Nuo and Lin Li, Xu Nuo revealed he had arranged the stunt himself. He then publicly introduced Lin Li as his girlfriend and, when questioned by Ke Siyi, confirmed the relationship was genuine before dismissing her. A frustrated Liang Zhixiao had to pull Ke Siyi away, while Lin Li expressed her approval of the plan, wanting the photos published so everyone would know they were together.
Meanwhile, Lin Wen confronted Zhou Yanxin at his office. Worried about her safety due to Wu Dongde, Zhou Yanxin avoided her messages and urged her not to visit him again. This angered Lin Wen, who interpreted his distance as a desire to break up. Zhou Yanxin tried to explain he was protecting her but couldn't elaborate on the dangerous situation.
Wu Dongde's situation had become desperate; with his company and all personal properties seized by the court, he was constantly besieged by creditors. He was forced into hiding with his subordinate, Zhang Sen. Although creditors eventually located Zhang Sen, Wu Dongde managed to escape. Despite being a fugitive, Wu Dongde continued to seek information about Xu Nuo. Aware of the persistent threat, Xu Nuo significantly increased security at Hege and initiated a search.
Convinced that the vindictive Wu Dongde would prioritize retaliation over escaping his financial troubles, Xu Nuo decided it was time to use evidence of Wu Dongde's embezzlement to force him out of hiding. While watching a news interview with Xu Nuo and Lin Li, Ke Siyi noticed Xu Nuo's tell-tale habit of touching his neck whenever he lied. In the interview, he declared Lin Li was the only person he loved, a statement accompanied by the gesture.
Realizing Xu Nuo was lying, Ke Siyi felt a surge of relief and renewed determination, vowing to win both his heart and professional success. At the airport, as Yun Zhu was preparing to fly to the United States, Liang Zhixiao unexpectedly appeared with his own luggage. He confessed that their recent interactions, including a night of reflection under a ginkgo tree, had made him realize his deep affection for her was true love, not just familial fondness.
Acknowledging that she was not just his sister and he no longer wished to be her "brother-in-law," Liang Zhixiao offered to carry her luggage, ready to join her on her journey. Upon returning to his office, Xu Nuo found Ke Siyi waiting with his favorite roast ribs and potatoes. Enraged, he accused her of potentially spiking the food and sternly warned her to stay away, threatening to fire any staff who allowed her access.
After he stormed out, his secretary, Lisa, explained Xu Nuo's unusual tension and the heightened security, suggesting a serious threat. Realizing Xu Nuo might be in danger, Ke Siyi resolved to protect him herself. Ke Siyi began following Xu Nuo everywhere, even purchasing a VIP membership to his gym to check the equipment and clean the pool for his safety.
There, Lin Li confronted her, revealing that her relationship with Xu Nuo was a mutually beneficial arrangement for public attention, as true love held little value in their world. Later, an exasperated Xu Nuo asked Ke Siyi what it would take for her to stop. She insisted he was lying about his feelings for Lin Li due to his alexithymia and that her love was his cure. Desperate, Xu Nuo threatened to marry Lin Li.
Unfazed, Ke Siyi retorted that she would just "secretly love him" and that marriage wouldn't deter her. While outwardly annoyed by her constant affectionate messages, Xu Nuo struggled internally to maintain his facade for the sake of his plan. With the evidence against Wu Dongde submitted, Xu Nuo called a press conference. Ke Siyi rushed into the crowd, publicly declaring her love for him.
Xu Nuo seized the moment to reject her, threatening legal action for exploiting his fame, and simultaneously announced his impending marriage to Lin Li. Later, as Xu Nuo was leaving work, he was disheartened to hear Ke Siyi hadn't been seen all day. He got out to walk alone, only to spot her across the street on her motorcycle, waving and reaffirming her love. At that moment, Wu Dongde, bent on mutual destruction, drove his car directly at Xu Nuo.
Without hesitation, Ke Siyi pushed Xu Nuo to safety, taking the full impact of the vehicle herself. Following the crash, Ke Siyi was rushed to the hospital, where she fell into a coma with severe injuries. Wu Dongde and Zhang Sen were arrested, allowing a guilt-ridden and sorrowful Xu Nuo to devote himself to her care. Days turned into weeks with no change. Even Yun Zhu and Liang Zhixiao sent video messages from abroad, urging her to wake up.
Desperate, Xu Nuo prayed at the Wishing Pond, offering all his life's fortune for her recovery. Back at her bedside, he spoke to her tenderly, bringing her a blooming jasmine flower and placing the lucky bracelet she had given him back into her hand. Miraculously, her fingers twitched, and she regained consciousness.
As an emotional Xu Nuo hesitated to turn around, Ke Siyi embraced him from behind, reassuring him that she would love him always, whether it was a sunny, rainy, or cloudy day. Tears streamed down Xu Nuo's face as the two finally found their hard-won happy ending.
