Ning Weijin surprised Zheng Dingding with a romantic setup of cake, red wine, and candles. When she got some cake on her lips, he hesitated before reaching out to wipe it away. The sudden touch startled them both, and a flustered Ning Weijin quickly retreated to the bathroom. It was late, and since his sister, Ning Weixuan, still hadn't returned, Ning Weijin and Zheng Dingding had to sleep on the sofa.
Ning Weijin didn't like being called "Dr. Ning," so Zheng Dingding asked if he had a nickname. He revealed that his mother used to call him "Little Scarf," and he allowed Zheng Dingding to call him that too. Zheng Dingding found the name endearing and told him, "You are so nice." As Zheng Dingding slept, Ning Weijin, in a moment of hesitation, reached out to touch her hand but quickly withdrew it, much like a shy first love.
Meanwhile, Wen Zixin’s mother’s condition had stabilized in the hospital. Chen Xun was diligently assisting Wen Zixin. Wen Zixin’s mother thanked Chen Xun for his help and apologized for forcing him and Wen Zixin to break up years ago, hoping he wouldn't hold a grudge. Chen Xun assured her he had long forgotten those matters. Later, Wen Zixin spotted a doctor she recognized from a past surgery and grew anxious, fearing Chen Xun might encounter her.
She asked the attending physician about transferring her mother to another hospital, but the doctor advised against it, explaining that her mother’s condition was still under observation and a transfer could be risky. Worried, Wen Zixin then gently persuaded Chen Xun to return to his company, insisting she could manage her mother’s care alone. Chen Xun, noticing Zheng Dingding hadn't contacted him for days, had his assistant, Cat, call her.
Unaware that Chen Xun was listening in, Zheng Dingding casually mentioned she was on a blind date. Enraged, Chen Xun immediately hung up. Indeed, Zheng Dingding was on a date with a "momma's boy" who expressed a desire for her to be a stay-at-home wife and bear many children. Finding him unbearable, Zheng Dingding made an excuse to leave, even suggesting they go dutch for the meal they barely touched.
On her way home, Zheng Dingding called her mother, pleading with her to stop arranging such low-quality blind dates. Her mother, however, urged her to "go for Dr. Ning," highlighting how precious he seemed compared to the recent date. Back at the company, Chen Xun found the office in disarray, with orders slightly declining since Zheng Dingding's departure. He reflected on his breakup with Zheng Dingding and his uncertainty about her relationship with Ning Weijin.
Cat suggested he pursue Zheng Dingding again if he couldn't forget her, but Chen Xun remained conflicted, denying any romantic involvement with Wen Zixin. Zheng Dingding's best friend, Xiao Feng, found a tearful Zheng Dingding watching a movie at home. He arrived with a "Happy Breaking Up" cake to celebrate her "first break-up" formally.
He advised her that the best way to get over a breakup was to exhaust herself by "eating, drinking, and playing," then "sleep well" for three days, promising she'd be "fully revived" afterward. They cut the cake, symbolizing a fresh start, and then spent the day shopping and enjoying an amusement park, which significantly lifted Zheng Dingding's spirits. Preoccupied with thoughts of Zheng Dingding, Ning Weijin invited Gao Ren to a bar.
As doctors, they couldn't drink alcohol, so they sat uncomfortably drinking juice. Gao Ren spotted Zheng Dingding and Xiao Feng on stage, singing "Happy Breaking Up." Xiao Feng had dedicated the song to Zheng Dingding, celebrating her split from her "scumbag boyfriend." Gao Ren mused about Xiao Feng being a potential rival for Ning Weijin. A very inebriated Zheng Dingding, seeing Ning Weijin, called him "Little Scarf" and invited him to join their celebration.
Ning Weijin decided to take her home, leaving a drunk Xiao Feng in Gao Ren’s care. The next morning, Zheng Dingding woke up with no memory of how she got home, vowing never to drink so much again. While brushing her teeth, she noticed a man's shirt hanging in her bathroom, startling her. Just then, Ning Weijin appeared. Zheng Dingding quickly locked the door to compose herself.
Xiao Feng called, jokingly asking if Ning Weijin "made a move" on her, but Zheng Dingding assured him that Ning Weijin had left after dropping her off. It turned out Ning Weijin was in her kitchen, making breakfast. Zheng Dingding, still flustered, asked why he had stayed.
Ning Weijin teased her about her memory loss, then explained that she had vomited all over him the previous night, so he had to wash his clothes at her place and ended up sleeping on her sofa while waiting for them to dry. Soon after, Zheng Dingding’s mother called, announcing yet another blind date arrangement. As Ning Weijin prepared to leave for work, her mother heard his voice and grew suspicious, demanding to know who was at her house.
Zheng Dingding, panicked, fled upstairs and, in a hushed tone, told her mother that it was Ning Weijin and that they were now in a relationship, thus eliminating the need for more blind dates. Her mother was overjoyed. Ning Weijin, having overheard the conversation, was still at the door when Zheng Dingding came back down. She then pleaded with him to pretend to be her boyfriend to appease her mother.
Ning Weixuan was delighted to hear her brother and Zheng Dingding were pretending to be a couple. She believed this was her "love-averse" brother finally "getting enlightened," and planned to "add fuel to the fire" to turn the fake relationship into a real one. She instructed them to sit closer, even placing Ning Weijin’s hand on Zheng Dingding’s shoulder. Both became visibly nervous and sweaty.
Ning Weixuan then provocatively suggested they "kiss each other" for practice to avoid embarrassment in front of their parents. Zheng Dingding nervously considered it but ultimately backed out. Ning Weixuan, however, considered it a good "first step." Later, Ning Weixuan visited Gao Ren at his plastic surgery clinic, where he was flirting with a receptionist. She dramatically rushed over, pretending to be pregnant and accusing him of abandoning her and their child.
The surrounding nurses and doctors looked at Gao Ren with shock, forcing him to pull Ning Weixuan into his office. Once inside, Ning Weixuan informed him about Ning Weijin and Zheng Dingding's fake relationship, which Gao Ren also believed would soon become real. She enlisted his help to push the couple together, suggesting they, too, pretend to be a couple to set an example. Ning Weijin examined Zheng Dingding's wound, a result of her previous badminton game.
Zheng Dingding informed him she had an appointment with her mother and worried that Ning Weijin was "too nervous" to convincingly play the part, fearing her "crafty" mother would see through their act. She decided to go alone first and would call him if needed. Before she left, she practiced hugging Ning Weijin, whose arms remained stiff. After she left, Ning Weijin noticed his heart racing at over 130 beats per minute and wondered if he needed an electrocardiogram.
Zheng Dingding's mother, unable to refuse a friend, had tricked Zheng Dingding into another blind date. Upon arriving at the restaurant, Zheng Dingding realized her mother’s deception and reluctantly sat down. The blind date was another "momma's boy" who expressed a desire for a wife who would manage the household and children while he played video games.
