Jiang Kele, believing she had escaped, soon found her path blocked by Xu Guanghan and Lei Na, who were waiting downstairs with security. Upon being apprehended, Kele immediately divulged information about Granny Fu Shun. It was revealed that Granny Fu Shun is Xu Guanghan's aunt, a woman he deeply trusts, which is why she serves as the housekeeper at Bayhouse.
However, Granny Fu Shun voiced strong disapproval of Xu Guanghan's decision to confine the G4 members, reminding him that he had promised to release them after their one-year contract but then extended it for his project's final phase. She argued that Jiang Kele, as the number one fan of "Love Boys," would never betray him; if she intended to sue, she would have done so much earlier.
Following their discussion, Xu Guanghan had Lei Na release Jiang Kele and permit her to continue her cleaning duties. Ecstatic to be in the office of the "Love Boys" creator, Kele playfully insisted on a souvenir before leaving, accepting a Lu Xiao standee. Xu Guanghan then laid down strict new rules: she must clean only from 2 p. m. to 4 p. m. , leave immediately afterward, and not meet, talk to, or bring snacks for the G4 members.
Meanwhile, Guan Qianya, who had previously dismissed "Love Boys" and nearly discarded the VR glasses, reconsidered. Remembering how Xu Nian had helped her sleep soundly, she retrieved them. Guan Qianya and Qichuan then held a press conference to announce their partnership, with Qichuan explicitly stating their shared goal was to defeat Xu Guanghan. Upon seeing the news, Xu Guanghan became enraged.
He fumed over Qichuan's self-proclaimed title as "King of Composition," revealing that he had hired ghostwriters for all of Qichuan's songs and that Lei Na had even written lyrics for one. Xu Guanghan felt it was incredibly ungrateful for Qichuan to sue him after he had made him a star. That evening, Guan Qianya was startled by the Lu Xiao standee Jiang Kele brought home.
She questioned Kele about the man who answered her phone that morning, and Kele evasively claimed it was a new colleague. Later, unable to sleep, Guan Qianya tried recalling the hypnotic words Xu Nian had used, but failed. She asked Kele for help, but Kele fell asleep mid-sentence. With no other option, Guan Qianya put on the VR glasses to meet Xu Nian. However, now aware that he was a virtual character, she couldn't be hypnotized.
Xu Nian urged her to reveal the true reason for her insomnia. Guan Qianya confessed it stemmed from a childhood trauma: as a child, she had fallen asleep at her gravely ill father's bedside, only to wake up and find he had passed away. The incident left a painful, unaddressed wound. Xu Nian's pointed words forced her to confront her buried guilt, and she finally broke down in tears as he gently comforted her.
The next day, Guan Qianya visited Qichuan's advertisement shoot, where her assistant, Xiao Cui, informed her that Mr. Zhang, an investor who was withdrawing funds, had invited her to dinner at his home. Xiao Cui noted that Mr. Zhang was a widower and suggested the dinner could secure investment or even a "wedding gift," a comment Guan Qianya met with a stern threat. Meanwhile, Jiang Kele arrived at Bayhouse for her new cleaning role.
The security guards, not recognizing her without her helmet, initially refused her entry until they called Lei Na for verification. Inside, Kele witnessed Luo Ke, Su Lie, and Xu Nian being punished for the previous incident, forced to run by a guard who referred to Kele as "that thing inside that rug." The three men tried to shift blame onto one another.
When questioned, Xu Nian explained he had let Kele stay because her story about replacing an injured Granny Fu Shun seemed reasonable. As they continued their punishment, Luo Ke and Su Lie lamented the loss of Kele's snacks, but Xu Nian warned them to follow the rules. Later, while cleaning Lu Xiao's room, Kele discovered the hat he had worn at the subway station. Believing she had found critical evidence, she confronted him in his room.
