Lingxi returned with Jiuchen to Fuyun Hall. Jiuchen affectionately asked if her mortal trial had caused her pain, gently chiding her for being so silly. Outside the hall, Shisan, Hanzhang, and Siming waited. Shisan wondered what Jiuchen and Lingxi could be discussing for so long, prompting Hanzhang to playfully suggest Shisan go inside and find out. Siming quickly interjected, asking Hanzhang why he didn't go himself, to which Hanzhang swiftly replied that he still wished to live.

Nearby, Kaiyang confirmed to a fellow general that State Preceptor Jing Xiu of the Shanling Tribe had indeed given his life's true energy to Lingxi, leaving him severely injured and covered in blood. Huayan overheard and expressed deep concern for Jing Xiu, concluding he must have loved Lingxi immensely given his profound grief and unconsciousness after Lin Mo’s death. However, another aide dismissed this, warning that anyone daring to steal the God of War's woman would be seeking death.

In the Shanling Tribe, a subordinate brought a witch doctor for Jing Xiu, noting his severe wounds. The Spirit-Binding Abyss was closed, and most of Zhonghao's men had been captured. The subordinate, Chibi, reported that State Master Lingyue remained gravely wounded and unconscious in her chambers, awaiting Jing Xiu's instructions. Jing Xiu remained silent until Heichi spoke, reassuring him that the Demon Lord's demise meant Lin Mo had successfully passed her trial and was not dead.

Jing Xiu reacted sharply, demanding to know Lin Mo's whereabouts. Realizing she was not among them, he concluded she must be in the Heavenly Palace and angrily blamed Jiuchen for taking his A'Mo away. Heichi observed that Jing Xiu had resolved his "heart's knot," which was beneficial for him, but emphasized the critical importance of keeping Lingyue from awakening, as her recovery would place them in grave danger.

Later, a servant reported Lingyue had suffered greatly from the Soul Absorption Spell and subsequent injuries from Zhonghao, surviving only due to her Phoenix Tribe bloodline. Lingxi, though back in the Heavenly Palace, felt a growing distance from Jiuchen compared to their time in the mortal world. She was still grappling with her dual identity as Lingxi and Lin Mo, feeling weary and confused after undergoing three mortal trials and needing time to sort her thoughts.

She gently declined Jiuchen's offer of a precious jade marrow to consolidate her cultivation, saying she was tired. Recalling Jiuchen's own words that a person's perspective, perseverance, and responsibility are as important as love, Lingxi expressed regret for not being filial to Le Bo and a desire to spend time with her newly found mother, Lingyue, in the Shanling Realm.

She told Jiuchen that he had also suffered greatly because of her and needed to recuperate, then said goodbye and, transforming into a phoenix, flew away. Jiuchen watched her depart, unable to persuade her otherwise. At the Purple Cloud Platform, Puhua Zhenjun announced Yuan Tong's grave crimes of belittling Heavenly Laws, willfully committing violent acts, and killing comrades, for which she deserved execution.

However, in consideration of the Yuan Clan's long-standing contributions, she would be punished by having her immortal bones removed, her immortal status revoked, and being banished to the mortal world, never to return to the Heavenly Court. Puhua lamented the downfall of the once-wise Yuan Clan at her hands and advised her to live a good life in the mortal world, but Yuan Tong showed only deep-seated hatred.

In the Shanling Tribe, after recovering, Baoqing inquired about her mother Lingyue's condition, learning she was still unconscious and cared for by Grandmother Shi. She then asked about Jing Xiu, learning he was injured while pacifying the rebellion and had remained secluded. Outside Jing Xiu's residence, numerous ministers had gathered, agitated by Heichi's sudden promotion to head of Tianxi Palace's guarding duties despite his past misdeeds.

Chibi tried to deflect their demands to see Jing Xiu, but the ministers refused to leave. Inside, Heichi scoffed at the ministers' hypocrisy and expressed concern that Lingyue's awakening could jeopardize their position. He urged Jing Xiu to seize the opportunity, reminding him that Lin Mo, as the Shanling princess, would eventually return, and questioning if Jing Xiu intended to greet her in his current state.

Heichi’s words spurred Jing Xiu, who, in a powerful surge, broke through his cultivation and ascended to a High God. Outside, the ministers were stunned. Heichi immediately declared Jing Xiu's ascension, prompting the ministers to bow in submission. Jing Xiu then led them towards Lingyue’s chambers, telling Baoqing to wait behind. Grandmother Shi attempted to bar Jing Xiu and the ministers from Lingyue’s chambers, but a servant’s report interrupted them: Fairy Ling Xi from Peach Forest was requesting an audience.

Jing Xiu rushed out, his face lighting up as he saw Lingxi. He called her "A'Mo," overjoyed. Lingxi, however, maintained a deliberate distance, addressing him formally as "State Preceptor Jingxiu." Despite her formality, Jing Xiu was visibly pleased and publicly announced Lingxi as the true Princess of the Shanling Tribe. Chibi was the first to kneel, followed by the other ministers.

Lingxi then went to see her unconscious mother, blaming herself for Lingyue's injuries, but Jing Xiu reassured her that it was not her fault. After the ministers departed, Chibi reminded Jing Xiu that Lingyue, upon waking, would surely realize that Jing Xiu had allowed Zhonghao to occupy the Shanling Tribe and open the Spirit-Binding Abyss to avenge Yuandu, and she would undoubtedly seek retribution.

Jing Xiu, however, stated that since Lingxi had already lost her father, Le Bo, she should not also lose her mother. Therefore, Lingyue must not be killed but instead kept unconscious, and he summoned the witch doctor. Meanwhile, the Heavenly Emperor praised Jiuchen for vanquishing the Demon Lord and lauded Jing Xiu for stopping Zhonghao and resealing the Spirit-Binding Abyss. Despite the praise, Jiuchen remained wary of Jing Xiu's deep schemes and ordered Kaiyang to continue monitoring the Shanling Tribe.

Kaiyang reported that Jing Xiu was actively managing state affairs but also noted Heichi's controversial new role. Kaiyang expressed doubt about Jing Xiu's rapid ascension, but Jiuchen believed it was likely true and ordered continued vigilance. That night, Jing Xiu summoned the witch doctor and recounted a tale of a mortal scholar whose soul traveled beyond the world while in a deep sleep, eventually becoming an immortal.

He suggested that Lingyue’s unconscious state might be a similar "good fortune" and subtly threatened the witch doctor not to ruin her "profound opportunity." Jing Xiu then ordered the witch doctor to change Lingyue's prescription, forbidding strong medicines that would forcibly awaken her. Instead, he demanded the witch doctor help her peacefully sleep and slowly nourish her soul in her dreams. The intimidated witch doctor complied.

In her final days in the Heavenly Palace, Yuan Tong, still unrepentant, sought out Tianlei Zhenjun. She insisted the thief of the Heart Assembling Nail was a Demon Tribe spy within the Heavenly Palace. Tianlei patiently told her he was already investigating. Yuan Tong then argued that the Demon Lord could not have vanished so easily, insinuating a conspiracy involving Lingxi. Enraged by Yuan Tong’s baseless accusations, Tianlei Zhenjun sharply cut her off.

He admitted his disapproval of Jiuchen and Lingxi stemmed from his fear they might jeopardize critical affairs, not from selfish reasons. He condemned Yuan Tong for her relentless hatred, which led her to murder her own subordinates—acts he deemed no different from a demon. He declared that harboring evil thoughts constituted true demonic behavior and that the Heavenly Emperor had been too lenient.

Finally, he delivered a stern warning: if she dared to incite trouble in the mortal world, he would utterly destroy her soul and spirit. He then ordered Ziguang to escort her to the mortal realm immediately.
