Jiuchen desperately urged Lin Mo to give him Jing Xiu's life pearl, telling her that it was the only way to save her in time. He reminded her that she was Lingxi, and her family and friends were waiting in the Heavenly Palace for her. Lin Mo questioned if he too was waiting for Lingxi, to which he affirmed he had always been waiting for "you." However, Lin Mo understood he meant Lingxi, not her.
She firmly stated her identity: she was Lin Mo from Pengshan Prefecture, with a father, mother, grandmother, and younger sister. She emphasized that she was nineteen years old and remembered every single moment of her life, questioning how it could all be fake. Heartbroken, Lin Mo asked Jiuchen if he had ever truly loved her, or if Lingxi had always been the only one in his heart.
With her will to live gone, she accepted her fate and chose to fulfill his wish. She coughed up Jing Xiu's life pearl and, as she handed it over, made him promise to remember that the mortal girl at Peach Blossom Lodge who cooked and sewed for him, and wished to marry him, was named Lin Mo. With her final words, Lin Mo passed away, vanishing into thin air in Jiuchen's arms.
At that moment, Jing Xiu, who was struggling to reach her, collapsed and fell unconscious. The Demon Lord, who had been suppressed by Ziguang and Fangsheng, lost his source of power with Lin Mo's death and was finally vanquished, dissipating into ash. In his final burst of power, he knocked out the surrounding divine generals, and a wisp of demonic aura entered Yuan Tong's body. Jiuchen, oblivious to the chaos, held Lin Mo tightly as she faded away.
Concurrently, in the Polar Abyss, the Farmer God's Cauldron erupted with a brilliant golden light. A fiery phoenix soared out, circled once, and transformed into Lingxi. Upon her landing, the Heavenly Lasting Mythical Sand, which had been stored in Fuyun Hall, automatically flew to her and reformed around her wrist. Lingxi had not only successfully completed her mortal trial but had also, through this profound experience, ascended to the status of a High God.
The divine attendants at the gate bowed respectfully, congratulating her on her rebirth. Lingxi gave a faint smile, explaining that she had been away from home for a long time and missed it, then transformed back into her phoenix form and soared away from the Polar Abyss. Jiuchen was brought back to Fuyun Hall, his Fire Essence completely depleted. Just as Shisan, Kaiyang, and Hanzhang worried about his failing condition, the Heavenly Supreme Lord arrived with Siming.
Having retrieved the Nuwa Stone Heart from the Demon Tower, the Heavenly Supreme Lord carefully reintegrated it into Jiuchen's body. Meanwhile, in the Peach Forest, Hualiao was picking mushrooms to cheer up a despondent Qingyao. Chengyan found this amusing, as Hualiao always assumed what made her happy would work for everyone. As he watched her, Chengyan briefly saw a streak of light in the sky, but it vanished so quickly he dismissed it as his imagination.
The light was Lingxi, who had returned to the Peach Forest. Her first act was to offer incense before the memorial tablet of her father, Le Bo. Chengyan was stunned to see her, only believing it was truly her when she called him "stinky fox" as she always had.
He then recounted the events that had transpired, explaining how Yunfeng took the blame to save Qingyao and was now sealed on Self-Realization Cliff, enduring a thousand years of petrification and lightning strikes. Learning this, Lingxi immediately went to find her sister. Qingyao and Lingxi embraced tightly, overcome with emotion. Later, Qingyao, noticing Lingxi hadn't gone to see Jiuchen, thought she still blamed him.
She recounted all the sacrifices he had made, admitting that even she, as Lingxi's sister, could not have done as much. Lingxi explained that she held no resentment, understanding the debt she owed him, but she still had an emotional hurdle she couldn't overcome. Fueled by her newfound power and a desire for justice, she declared her intention to seek vengeance for the wrongs done to her family. Upon waking, Jiuchen found his Nuwa Stone Heart restored.
He immediately went to Heavenly Lord Mountain and knelt before his master, apologizing for his willfulness and causing his master to be injured retrieving the Stone Heart. The Heavenly Supreme Lord, upon learning Lingxi had not yet visited Fuyun Hall, expressed his displeasure at her perceived ingratitude and advised Jiuchen not to seek her out. Jiuchen quietly agreed.
In the Heavenly Palace, Tianlei Zhenjun vehemently accused Jiuchen before the Heavenly Emperor, charging him with dereliction of duty, abuse of power, and endangering the Six Realms for personal reasons. The Heavenly Emperor, who was secretly aware of the situation, feigned ignorance and patiently listened. Tianlei detailed how Jiuchen faked Lingxi's execution and allowed her to go to Dark Capital Mountain, nearly causing the Demon Lord's return.
He reported that the Demon Lord only vanished when the "minor immortal" died, but insisted Jiuchen's deception warranted severe punishment. As Tianlei spoke, a guard announced that a fairy named Lingxi from the Peach Forest sought an audience. Her arrival stunned the court. Lingxi bowed before the Heavenly Emperor, who welcomed her kindly, stating that her survival was a fortunate turn of fate. Unsatisfied, Tianlei accused her of colluding with Jiuchen to defy Heavenly Law.
Lingxi calmly asked which law she had broken. When Tianlei cited faking her death and possessing demonic aura, she countered eloquently, pointing out that even the smallest creatures fight to survive. She argued that she was born with the aura but never harmed anyone, and only sought help to live. She then challenged him directly: "Is it a crime to want to live? Is it a crime for the God of War to have pitied my innocence and helped me?"
Left speechless, Tianlei could only mutter that she was clever with words. The Heavenly Emperor then intervened, admitting he was aware of the plan. He explained that while Tianlei's caution was his duty, he and Jiuchen had chosen to give her a chance. He then revealed that Lingxi had been blessed by her ordeal, not only cleansing her demonic aura but also passing three trials to become a High God. This news shocked Tianlei and the others.
The Heavenly Emperor declared that wanting to live was no crime, and since the demonic aura was gone, Lingxi was innocent. Furthermore, Jiuchen, for helping her and vanquishing the Demon Lord, had performed a meritorious deed and would be rewarded. With her own case settled, Lingxi announced she had another matter: to accuse Yuan Tong of three major crimes. First, she murdered the guards on the Purple Cloud Platform and framed Qingyao.
Second, she murdered Lingxi's father, the healer Le Bo. Tianlei interrupted, stating these were known and had been punished. Unfazed, Lingxi revealed the third crime: on Dark Capital Mountain, Yuan Tong murdered her own subordinates and then framed Qingyao and Yunfeng for it using the excuse of a faulty pill. Horrified, Yuan Tong denied it and accused Lingxi of slander.
Calling her out for her false bravado, Lingxi produced the Reflection Mirror, which she had repaired, and projected the scene of Yuan Tong murdering her own soldiers. Faced with irrefutable proof, Yuan Tong collapsed in terror. After leaving the main hall, Kaiyang and Hanzhang walked alongside Lingxi, chatting happily with her. Just then, Jiuchen, having been informed by Siming, appeared before them. With tears welling in her eyes, Lingxi walked towards him and softly uttered, "Senior Deity, I'm back."
