Jiuchen returned Lingxi to the Peach Forest, stating she had been away from home for too long. Lingxi protested, expressing her desire to remain at Fuyun Hall and her longing for Shisan and Huayan, but Jiuchen, without explanation, used his magic to instantly take her back. Upon their arrival, Le Bo greeted his daughter with a mix of joy and anger, loudly scolding her for running away from Fuyun Hall. Jiuchen intervened, explaining that Lingxi had missed her home.

Le Bo then offered Jiuchen some of his homemade wine, which Jiuchen complimented. Jiuchen proceeded to reveal he knew Lingxi's true identity: she was not Le Bo's biological daughter. He explained that 50,000 years ago, Le Bo found her outside Dark Capital Mountain after a major battle, where she had been abandoned. Before his sealing, the Demon Lord attempted to possess her to hide his primordial spirit.

While Jiuchen managed to save her life and repel the Demon Lord, the Demon Lord injected his last demonic power into her body, granting her both immortal and demonic powers, and the ability to awaken both Jiuchen and the Demon Lord. Jiuchen accused Le Bo of knowing this secret and intentionally getting drunk to feign an error, fleeing the Heavenly Palace to hide Lingxi in the Peach Forest.

Le Bo, deeply concerned for Lingxi's safety should the Heavenly Palace discover her secret, inquired about Jiuchen's intentions. Jiuchen declared that Lingxi must remain confined to the Peach Forest, just as she had for the past 50,000 years. Le Bo expressed doubt, fearing their peace was now irrevocably broken as Lingxi had already appeared in the Heavenly Palace. Jiuchen solemnly vowed to protect her, affirming they would hide her for as long as possible.

Le Bo expressed profound gratitude, bowing deeply, and explained that when he found Lingxi, Jiuchen's immortal soul was completely shattered, and he appeared dead, so Le Bo prioritized saving the child. Jiuchen dismissed his actions, stating that saving her was all that mattered. As Jiuchen prepared to depart, Lingxi wondered what her father and Jiuchen were discussing. Chengyan teased her, suggesting she had been expelled from Fuyun Hall.

Lingxi proudly claimed that Jiuchen could not bear to be without her, asserting she had to repeatedly beg him to accompany her home for a visit. Jiuchen called Lingxi to him, commenting on the serenity of the Peach Forest and how it suited her. Lingxi expressed her dislike for the quiet, preferring Fuyun Hall instead. Jiuchen advised her to strive for worthiness, cultivate diligently, be cautious in her words and actions, and avoid worrying her father.

Lingxi earnestly promised to cultivate hard and stay by his side if he took her back to Fuyun Hall, assuring him that her father would then not worry. Jiuchen then instructed her on how to use the Heavenly Lasting Mythical Sand, which Lingxi initially dismissed as useless. Jiuchen corrected her, explaining that it was her lack of understanding, not the item, that made it seem so.

He taught her the principles of "thought is everything," guiding her through meditation and concentration exercises. Lingxi successfully manifested and retracted a sword with her mind. Jiuchen emphasized the importance of diligent practice and a clear mind so she could protect herself in his absence. Realizing Jiuchen was about to leave, Lingxi desperately asked if he was abandoning her. She impulsively embraced him and forcefully kissed him. Jiuchen neither responded nor pushed her away.

Lingxi then bravely confessed her deep love, clarifying that it was not a childish affection but a pure love between a man and a woman. She implored him to admit if he had even a slight liking for her, recalling his protection of her in the main palace hall and his decision to allow her to stay in Fuyun Hall.

She questioned what she had done wrong to be cast into the "icy cold room" and now returned to the Peach Forest. Only then did Jiuchen push her hands away, coldly stating that he did not like her, explaining that she was too young, her cultivation was too weak, and she was simply not compatible with him. He instructed her to remain in the Peach Forest and never to return to the Heavenly Palace, then walked away.

Lingxi was left in disbelief, questioning if his words were sincere. Later that night, Lingxi sat outside, unable to sleep, still distraught. Le Bo attempted to console her, declaring that anyone who did not want her was "blind," and asserting that they, in turn, did not like Jiuchen either. Despite this, Lingxi tearfully admitted that she still loved him. Chengyan then discovered her, mockingly suggesting her bragging about Jiuchen had led to her current unhappiness.

Lingxi warned him not to provoke her, threatening to expose his past misdeeds. Chengyan initially feigned indifference and began to walk away but ultimately returned to offer some rare, earnest advice. He told Lingxi that some matters could not be forced and that her one-sided affection was futile.

He starkly contrasted her status as an earth immortal who had cultivated for tens of thousands of years with Jiuchen's tens of thousands of years of life and his position as the strongest God of War in the Six Realms. He suggested that while Jiuchen might achieve eternal life, she would likely have long since perished, implying their incompatibility. Lingxi absorbed his words, which echoed Jiuchen's earlier declaration about her youth, weak powers, and incompatibility.

Deeply affected, she immediately returned to her room, closing the door to focus on cultivation. Meanwhile, Heichi, following Zhonghao's orders, continued to apprehend female immortals who were exactly 50,000 years old, but none were the one they sought. In the Heavenly Palace, the Heavenly Emperor expressed concern to Jiuchen about the increasing disappearances of female immortals, causing widespread fear. Jiuchen assured him that he had already dispatched Kaiyang to investigate.

Returning to Fuyun Hall, Jiuchen severely reprimanded Yunfeng, accusing him of disregarding his instructions to diligently monitor all activity around Dark Capital Mountain. Yunfeng protested that he had informed the Hanshan Tribe, but Jiuchen pointed out the internal strife within the tribe and the ambiguous nature of their State Preceptor, highlighting Yunfeng's negligence.

Yunfeng acknowledged his carelessness, and Jiuchen further criticized his negligence, remarking that even the benevolent Medical Immortal Qingyao, who compassionately aided mortals, would look down on such idleness. Kaiyang arrived to report that while the culprit remained unknown, all the missing female immortals shared a common trait: they were precisely 50,000 years old. Jiuchen immediately understood that the Demon Lord was searching for the infant from 50,000 years ago.

He ordered Kaiyang to instruct all Heavenly Palace War Division generals to intensify patrols across the Six Realms to prevent further incidents and to dispatch additional forces to heavily surround all strategic points in Dark Capital Mountain. Realizing the gravity of the situation, Yunfeng apologized to Jiuchen for his oversight, admitting he underestimated Zhonghao's capacity for disruption. He pledged to diligently assist Kaiyang and Hanzhang in any capacity.

Jiuchen, recognizing Yunfeng's laid-back and playful nature, reminded him that as a High God, he bore significant responsibility, especially given his talent and the Teacher's guidance. He emphasized that if Yunfeng had listened, those female immortals might have been spared, urging him to fully embrace his duties as a god. Yunfeng expressed his remorse and promised to change his lazy ways. Despite Yunfeng's newfound resolve, his habitual playfulness quickly resurfaced.

He noted Jiuchen's increased flexibility since Lingxi's arrival and asked about her whereabouts. Upon learning she had gone to the lower realm to visit her father, Yunfeng, assuming her safety, expressed his intention to personally fetch her back once her visit was complete. Jiuchen questioned why a High God like him would fetch a "little Dan bird" with no merit or official rank.

Yunfeng asserted that Lingxi's greatest "merit" was her ability to make Jiuchen laugh, claiming he would provide her with any treasures from the Four Seas and citing his own lack of "serious tasks" as a High God, which would also allow him to get wine from Le Bo. Jiuchen was left speechless by his junior brother's remarks. After Jiuchen's departure, Le Bo, fearing Lingxi might run away again, instructed Chengyan to keep an eye on her.

Lingxi, finding Chengyan annoying, used the Heavenly Lasting Mythical Sand, as taught by Jiuchen, to manifest a sharp sword, effectively chasing Chengyan away. While practicing her cultivation alone in the Peach Forest, Lingxi witnessed several members of the Hanshan Tribe pursuing two female immortals. Despite her limited cultivation, she bravely intervened to help, finding the fight challenging. At that moment, an immortal envoy from the Queen Mother of the West happened to be passing by.

He swiftly stepped in, driving Heichi and his cohorts away. Lingxi expressed her gratitude, and the rescued female immortals also thanked him before she quickly escorted them away. As the immortal envoy departed, he inadvertently discovered Wuwan, sound asleep beneath a tree in the Peach Forest. Charmed by the creature, he picked it up and took it with him, heading for the Queen Mother's banquet. Lingxi searched frantically for Wuwan.

She questioned a spirit bird, who informed her that a white-bearded old man had carried Wuwan away. Realizing it must be the immortal envoy she had just encountered from Kunlun Mountain, Lingxi, in her desperation and disregarding Jiuchen's earlier warnings, flew off towards Kunlun Mountain. Coincidentally, Jiuchen arrived at Dark Capital Mountain with Yunfeng, just as Heichi returned with a group of recently captured female immortals. Jiuchen intervened, rescuing the women from Heichi's grasp.

After his failed attempt to deliver the captives to Zhonghao, Heichi returned to the Peach Forest to search for the female immortals he previously missed. Le Bo discovered him and, unwilling to engage in battle within his peaceful home, lured Heichi outside the Peach Forest to fight him. Jiuchen arrived in time to drive Heichi away.

Jiuchen then warned Le Bo that Lingxi was alone in the Peach Forest and vulnerable, as the Hanshan Tribe was actively capturing female immortals who were 50,000 years old. Le Bo, realizing the danger, immediately rushed back to the Peach Forest. Back at his stronghold, Heichi reported his failure to Zhonghao, attributing it to Jiuchen's personal intervention. Jinyuan added that the Water Moon Cauldron, which Zhonghao sought, was believed to be in Fuyun Hall's possession, though Jiuchen adamantly denied it.

Zhonghao, intent on repairing his Demon Blade to contend with Jiuchen, acknowledged that the Water Moon Cauldron was not the only means. He revealed that the Demon Blade, forged from the spine of the previous Demon Lord's mount, could also be repaired using the bone and blood of the Heaven-Devouring Beast. Zhonghao stated he knew the Heaven-Devouring Beast was currently in the Tissue-Transforming Pool on Kunlun Mountain.

With this new plan, Zhonghao set off for Kunlun Mountain with Heichi and his men. Simultaneously, Kaiyang reported to Jiuchen the detection of a demonic essence rapidly moving towards the northwest. Jiuchen learned that the Heaven-Devouring Beast, the former mount of the Demon Lord, had been refining in the Tissue-Transforming Pool for forty-nine days and its bone and blood would be dispersed that very day. Recognizing Zhonghao's true intention, Jiuchen immediately departed for Kunlun Mountain.

At Kunlun Mountain, the Queen Mother of the West prepared to refine the Heaven-Devouring Beast, intending to send its bone and blood to the Manor of the Lord of Heavenly Medicine for elixir-making. To mark this auspicious occasion, she hosted a grand banquet, inviting many deities. Lingxi arrived at Kunlun Mountain, observing the multitude of deities in the main hall. She opted to discreetly head to the back mountain in search of Wuwan.

She discovered a mountain cave and, without hesitation, entered. Unbeknownst to her, Zhonghao and his followers had also gained entry to the same cave after killing the immortal guards. Lingxi cautiously navigated the winding passages, suddenly detecting the distinct scent of an evil beast. Following the scent, she eventually reached the Tissue-Transforming Pool, where she found the Heaven-Devouring Beast confined. Meanwhile, in the main hall, the Queen Mother of the West was engaged in conversation with Ling Yue.

A minor immortal then announced the unexpected arrival of the God of War, Jiuchen. Surprised by his uninvited presence but pleased, the Queen Mother quickly ordered him to be ushered into the hall.
