In the Peach Forest, Le Bo was deeply sorrowful upon hearing of Mohuan's death. He told Chengyan that Mohuan had died fifty thousand years ago, having fallen in love with the wrong person and gotten involved in a forbidden fate, and he sought solace in wine. Jiuchen, his magic temporarily sealed, found daily life challenging as he experienced hunger, thirst, and fatigue, even needing to perform simple tasks himself, like blowing out a candle. This sense of powerlessness frustrated him.

When he decided to go out for a stroll, Lingxi immediately volunteered to accompany him, but Jiuchen sternly refused, asserting that he was only without magic, not disabled. Lingxi, worried and fearing his anger, still trailed him, though Jiuchen soon discovered her. As they arrived at Wangyue Spring, it began to rain. Lingxi quickly offered to shield him with an umbrella, but her overly cautious demeanor seemed to wound his pride.

Jiuchen did not accept her offer and turned to leave. Meanwhile, Huayan expressed her worry to Yunfeng about Jiuchen's safety without his magic, fearing he might be carried off by beasts. She also doubted Lingxi's ability to protect him, claiming even she could make Lingxi beg for mercy. With the truth of the Dark Capital Mountain battle revealed and all doubts about Jiuchen dispelled, the Heavenly Emperor restored his title as God of War.

During a gathering of Heavenly Palace generals in Fuyun Hall, Tianlei Zhenjun was absent. Ziguang explained that Tianlei Zhenjun was unwell and had gone into seclusion, asking for a leave of absence on his behalf. Jiuchen, though aware of the underlying truth, showed no reaction and granted the request. Jiuchen then announced significant personnel changes, based on their performance evaluations and the recent period of peace.

He reassigned Yuantong from her post as Northern Seas guarding general, appointing Hanzhang in her place. Kaiyang was to remain in the Heavenly Palace for training. Ziguang was recalled to the Heavenly Palace and placed temporarily under Kaiyang's command, with Ziguang's deputy taking over his former general post.

Furthermore, Jiuchen ordered Fangsheng to deploy a troop of Heavenly Soldiers to search the Six Realms for Demon Tribe remnants, sternly warning all generals against negligence and promising strict military law for any who dared to slack. Ziguang questioned his transfer back, but Kaiyang quickly put him in his place, and Ziguang conceded. Following this, Jiuchen moved on to discuss the settlement of the Yuan Clan.

Outside Fuyun Hall, Lingxi stood lost in thought, realizing that it was the day Jiuchen's confinement would be lifted, and he would once again become the revered God of War. Inside, Qingyao performed the ritual to dispel the Nine Spirits Technique for Jiuchen. Both Lingxi and Yunfeng were asked to wait outside the hall. Taking the opportunity, Lingxi asked Yunfeng if high-cultivation immortals like him and Jiuchen could truly prevent others from approaching them if they were unwilling.

Yunfeng confirmed this, stating that if one couldn't even approach, then kissing would certainly be impossible unless it was consensual. This made Lingxi recall the scene in the Water Moon Cauldron where she had seen herself kissing Jiuchen, and a wave of sweetness and shyness washed over her.

After completing the ritual, Qingyao informed Jiuchen that although most of his cold disease was cured, he would still be more susceptible to cold than other immortals and advised caution when using magic in battle. Jiuchen instructed Shisan to summon Yuantong to Fuyun Hall. Shisan, still resentful of Yuantong's ingratitude, refused to go himself and ordered Huayan to go in his stead.

Huayan, feeling a chill whenever she saw Yuantong and angered by the lightning punishment Jiuchen endured because of her, reluctantly agreed, pulling Lingxi along for company as she felt afraid of Yuantong. Meanwhile, at the Yuan Clan ancestral temple, Old Madam Yuan had been weeping incessantly for days, unable to sleep, lamenting the family's decline. Yuantong, concerned for her mother's health, tried to console her, but Old Madam Yuan simply stated she was tired and wanted to rest, dismissing Yuantong.

After the ancestral temple door closed, Old Madam Yuan declared her life to be an unbearable torment, believing all hope was lost, and picked up Yuanzheng's Heart Assembling Nail, resolute in her decision to end her suffering. Outside, Yuantong encountered Lingxi and Huayan. With a hostile gaze, Yuantong demanded to know what Lingxi wanted, but Lingxi merely informed her that Jiuchen had summoned her to Fuyun Hall. Before Lingxi could finish, a loud sound erupted from within the ancestral temple.

Yuantong frantically pushed the doors open to find Old Madam Yuan collapsed on the ground, having used the Heart Assembling Nail to end her own life. Yuantong cried out in anguish, collapsing onto her mother's lifeless body, heartbroken. Lingxi and Huayan, who had followed her in, were visibly shaken by the tragic sight. Yuantong looked back at Lingxi with deep resentment, causing Lingxi and Huayan to quickly flee the scene.

Upon their return, Shisan noticed Huayan and Lingxi were dispirited and asked if Yuantong had bullied them. Huayan vaguely suggested that they might need to avoid Yuantong in the future, without explaining why. Lingxi, meanwhile, sought solace in a corner, weeping quietly. Jiuchen found her and offered comfort, assuring her that Old Madam Yuan's death was not her fault.

He explained that Old Madam Yuan valued her clan's honor and glory more than her own life, and once that honor was gone, she lost the will to live. He added that it was this very personality that had shaped Yuanzheng and Yuantong, leading them to be overly attached to gains and losses, which in turn allowed them to be bewitched by demons and fall into an irreversible abyss. He concluded that her fate was destined and unavoidable.

Lingxi, hearing the words "destined," grew more troubled, pondering if all destined events were indeed inevitable. Yunfeng, sitting alone in the garden, spent the entire day gazing into a mirror. Siming, Kaiyang, and Hanzhang approached him, surprised to see the usually cheerful High God looking dejected. Yunfeng voiced his concerns, asking if he had become less handsome or if his beauty had faded, because Doctor Qingyao seemed impervious to his charms, no matter how hard he tried.

The three immortals stifled their laughter and quickly showered him with compliments about his enduring handsomeness, which restored Yunfeng's confidence. Convinced that Qingyao was merely playing hard to get and suppressing her true feelings, Yunfeng decided it was time to unleash a "big move" to win her heart. Later, as Qingyao was concocting medicines in the Medical Hall, a commotion erupted outside. Yunfeng appeared, dressed in flowing white robes, conjuring a massive pink heart in the sky.

As Qingyao emerged, he declared his affection for her publicly and showered her with a cascade of flower petals, stating he could give her anything she desired. Other immortals watched with amusement, and the young immortal maids shrieked with delight. However, Qingyao abruptly turned and closed the door, deflecting all the petals back onto Yunfeng, covering him completely. The onlookers burst into laughter, and Yunfeng, thoroughly embarrassed, retreated awkwardly.

Lingxi approached Jiuchen, seeking guidance on how to use the Heavenly Lasting Mythical Sand, which had inexplicably affixed itself to her hand. Jiuchen recognized it as a crucial treasure of the Old Man of the South Pole and inquired how it came to be in her possession. Lingxi explained that during her last visit to the South Pole Immortal Continent to restore a war report for him, she had inadvertently discovered the Water Moon Cauldron within a mountain.

After using the Cauldron to restore the report, the Heavenly Lasting Mythical Sand had spontaneously attached itself to her hand and defied all her attempts to remove it. Jiuchen expressed his displeasure that she had taken the item without informing the Old Man, emphasizing that while the artifact might have chosen her, it was still improper not to notify its long-time guardian.

Lingxi confessed her reluctance to return, citing a previous encounter with a "very fierce High Immortal" named Qinyuan during her last visit. Jiuchen, sensing her apprehension, offered to accompany her. Upon their arrival at the South Pole Immortal Continent, Jiuchen and Lingxi were informed by a disciple that the Old Man of the South Pole and his eldest disciple, Qinyuan, were both in seclusion, with no definite date for their return.

However, the disciple conveyed a message the Old Man had left specifically for Jiuchen, stating, "Everything and every creature in this world gather together because of fate. Just let nature take its course. No need to worry yourself." Jiuchen smiled, acknowledging his own attachment to worldly concepts compared to the Old Man's unaffected nature.

He asked the disciple to relay a message to the Old Man, assuring him that he would make the best possible use of the treasure and not allow such an important item to be neglected. Meanwhile, within his seclusion, the Old Man of the South Pole was attempting to dissuade Qinyuan from his path of revenge.

He reminded Qinyuan that ever since Zhonghao had sent him there, Qinyuan's connections to the mundane world were severed, and upon entering the Southern Mountain, he was no longer bound to Zhonghao. Qinyuan respectfully acknowledged his teacher's decree but asserted his unwavering loyalty to his adoptive father, Zhonghao, whose nurturing had saved him from certain death.

Despite the Old Man's warning that leaving the Southern Mountain would lead to a perilous future and potentially a doomed fate, Qinyuan remained resolute, declaring he would not back down even if his body and bones were decimated. Seeing Qinyuan's determination, the Old Man regretfully declared that their master-disciple bond had reached its end and told Qinyuan to take care of himself from that point onward. Qinyuan departed, feeling ashamed.

As Qinyuan exited his seclusion, his junior brother informed him about Jiuchen's recent visit with an immortal maid, and the Old Man's message about utilizing an item well. This immediately led Qinyuan to suspect that the Water Moon Cauldron was likely in Jiuchen's possession. Driven by a thirst for revenge, Qinyuan soon confronted Jingxiu. Without stating his reasons, Qinyuan declared his intention to offer Jingxiu's spirit to heaven and earth, immediately launching an attack with his staff.

Jingxiu recognized Qinyuan as someone he had fought before, and, perplexed by his sudden aggression, quickly overpowered Qinyuan, severely injuring him. Jingxiu ordered his subordinate, Chibi, to investigate Qinyuan's background and secretly follow him. Qinyuan, gravely wounded, fled and stumbled into the Hanshan Tribe territory, where he was astonished and overjoyed to find his adoptive father, Zhonghao, alive.

Zhonghao explained that his entire tribe had been annihilated, and he had sacrificed his soul to carve a bloody path out of Dark Capital Mountain, now existing as little more than a living corpse. He openly admitted to having embraced demonization after being exiled by the Heavenly Race and hunted by the Shanling Tribe. Zhonghao then questioned if Qinyuan, being of the Heavenly Race, would now stand against him.

Qinyuan steadfastly reaffirmed his loyalty, stating he had left the Southern Mountain precisely to avenge Zhonghao, ready to sacrifice himself if needed. Pleased, Zhonghao revealed his plan: he intended to repair his Demon Blade using the Water Moon Cauldron and then use Jingxiu's flesh as an offering to his deceased tribesmen. Qinyuan, without hesitation, vowed to retrieve the Water Moon Cauldron for him.

One day, as Lingxi walked, she was struck by bird droppings, only to discover it was the small Qingluan, deliberately provoking her from the sky. Annoyed, Lingxi immediately transformed into her original Dan Bird form and gave chase, intending to pluck the Qingluan's feathers. Just as she was about to catch it, First Lady Yuli suddenly appeared.

Yuli angrily rebuked Lingxi for her "atrocious" behavior near Wanling Park, warning her about a fierce Bagu Beast residing there that could tear her to pieces. She then demanded that Lingxi, as a "servant" from Fuyun Hall, apologize and bow to her beloved pet Qingluan for chasing it, stating that the matter would not be over otherwise. Lingxi naturally refused to bow to a bird. As Lingxi attempted to leave, Yuli used her magic to stop her. Taking advantage of the distraction, the small Qingluan swiftly scratched Lingxi's hand. With a smug look, Yuli then departed with her pet.
