> Listening Snow Tower Recap

Shu Jingrong visited Chi Xiaotai, who was confined to Snow Tower by Xiao Yiqing as a punishment. Shu Jingrong told Chi Xiaotai that her existence was Gao Mengfei's sole attachment in the world. Holding Gao Mengfei's sword, Chi Xiaotai was filled with regret, believing that her relentless demands for Gao Mengfei to achieve ultimate power had led to his tragic end. Shu Jingrong promised to bring Gao Mengfei's remains back to Sand Valley for burial.

Tears streamed down Chi Xiaotai's face, finding some comfort in the thought that with Bai Di's companionship, Gao Mengfei would not be lonely in the afterlife. Chi Xiaotai resolved to live well and asked Shu Jingrong to share more stories about Gao Mengfei, especially about the man he once was, Qing Yu.

As Shu Jingrong stepped outside, she watched the swirling snow and found herself reminiscing about her childhood in Sand Valley, when she, Qing Lan, and Qing Yu were inseparable. She lamented how much things had changed and could never return to what they once were. Meanwhile, Dr. Mo was treating Shi Mingyan, with Zi Mo attending.

Upon regaining consciousness, Shi Mingyan twisted the truth, falsely accusing Xiao Yiqing of attempting to murder her and claiming that she had fought desperately to survive, losing both her legs in the process. Shu Jingrong, passing by, overheard Shi Mingyan's tearful account and entered to investigate. Shi Mingyan continued to weep and describe her "miserable state," which Shu Jingrong somewhat believed. Promptly, Shu Jingrong confronted Xiao Yiqing, demanding an explanation for his alleged brutality towards Shi Mingyan.

Xiao Yiqing explained that Shi Mingyan had attacked him first, and he had merely confined her without intending to kill her. However, Shu Jingrong remained unconvinced, infuriating Xiao Yiqing, who criticized her for being too soft-hearted and easily swayed, warning that such compassion and timidity would ultimately be exploited by others against him. Later, Xiao Yiqing visited Shi Mingyan, seeking to understand the depth of her cunning at such a young age.

Shi Mingyan finally confessed her true motives: she resented Xiao Yiqing for not attacking the Moon Sect to avenge Ye Fengsha and Ren Feiyang. Therefore, she concocted her scheme to tarnish his reputation and drive a wedge between him and Shu Jingrong, hoping to sate her desire for vengeance. Xiao Yiqing was left speechless, finding her truly terrifying.

At the Moon Sect, Qing Hui reported to Ming He that Gao Mengfei had died at Shu Jingrong's hands, and that many disciples had fallen ill from Moon God Flower poisoning. He noted the growing unease among the people, who were spreading rumors that Hua Lian's ghost was responsible. Enraged, Ming He reprimanded Qing Hui. After dismissing him, Ming He questioned Jia Ruo about spreading rumors within the Moon Sect.

Jia Ruo did not deny it, explaining he simply did not want Xue Wen to be wrongly accused of Hua Lian's murder. Ming He accused Jia Ruo of pushing her to the brink, to which Jia Ruo coldly reminded her of her own lack of benevolence when she destroyed Sand Valley years ago.

Qing Hui also explained to Ming He that he had investigated the matter, and the urgent priority was to cure those affected before the poison reached their hearts. Ming He instructed Qing Hui to gather the poisoned disciples, stating she would cure them herself, despite Qing Hui's concerns about the number of victims and the difficulty of the cure.

Ming He then revealed her inner thoughts, realizing that her practice of the Xuan Yin Heart Sutra had caused the Moon God Flowers to wither and release toxins into the Holy Lake, poisoning the water. She decided to exploit this situation, reasoning that if the people of Nanjiang drank the tainted water, they would fall under her control, making it easier to deal with Snow Tower.

Meanwhile, Jia Ruo, recognizing a connection between the Grand Hall and the Holy Lake from sounds he heard, investigated further and discovered a device to shut down the lake's gates located directly beneath the sect leader's throne. Shortly after, Jia Ruo experienced a severe backlash from practicing the Xuan Yin Heart Sutra, the poison violently invading his heart. In agonizing pain, he realized his days were numbered.

Having recovered his past memories, he lamented that he could no longer call himself Qing Lan, Bai Di's disciple. He confided that he had thought he would never recall the past and had planned to accompany Ming He and protect the Moon Sect, but now, on the day he dies, he hoped Ming He would hate him more so she wouldn't be too sad.

While he cherished the memories of Sand Valley, his Master, Ming He, and Qing Yu, they now felt like a past life he could no longer grasp. He resolved that he could not allow Ming He to commit further injustices within the Moon Sect. Realizing that Xiao Yiqing was the only one who could help him, Jia Ruo decided to seek his assistance.

A messenger arrived at Snow Tower with urgent news from Lanxue Hall, stating that Xue Wen was safe and that previous reports were false information spread by Ming He. The unsigned message also stated that a critical matter concerning the safety of the Miaojiang people required Xiao Yiqing's immediate attention and a face-to-face meeting at the Moon Sect.

Xiao Yiqing expressed relief and initially instructed Zi Mo to summon Shu Jingrong, but then changed his mind, believing Shu Jingrong might not wish to see him. He instead asked Zi Mo to inform Shu Jingrong that his mother was safe and that Ming He's malicious intentions were behind the earlier deception. He also specifically asked Zi Mo not to tell Shu Jingrong about his trip to Nanjiang to spare her worry.

When Zi Mo inquired about the unsigned letter, Xiao Yiqing revealed the sender was Jia Ruo, the High Priest of the Moon Sect, explaining that Jia Ruo knew how to save his mother and that this trip was for the people of Nanjiang. Zi Mo then updated Xiao Yiqing on Huang Quan's condition, explaining that Huang Quan was struggling with grief due to his close friendship with Gao Mengfei and having been taught by him.

Xiao Yiqing comforted Huang Quan through Zi Mo, stating that Gao Mengfei had acted on his own accord and his fate was sealed regardless. In a gesture of kindness, Xiao Yiqing told Zi Mo she no longer needed to attend to matters at Fengqing Garden, allowing her to stay with Huang Quan. He explained that Huang Quan, being young and innocent, had decided Zi Mo was the one for him and would be upset seeing her enter Fengqing Garden daily.

Zi Mo was deeply moved by his thoughtfulness but also advised Xiao Yiqing to resolve any conflicts he might have with Shu Jingrong soon. Xiao Yiqing first gathered everyone to express gratitude for their significant contributions in exterminating the rebels, specifically mentioning Shu Jingrong and Huang Quan. He then promoted Huang Quan to take over Chuihua House, giving him complete charge. After dismissing others, Xiao Yiqing summoned his Four Guardians and two Lords to announce his upcoming trip to Nanjiang.

His subordinates expressed concern over his still-recovering health and the potential dangers, especially if Ming He made a move against Snow Tower. Xiao Yiqing, however, remained resolute, declaring his decision final. He assigned Nan Chu, Hong Chen, and Bi Luo to accompany him, while Shu Jingrong, Zi Mo, and Huang Quan were tasked with remaining at Snow Tower to guard it. At the Moon Sect, Ming He secretly drained Jia Ruo's inner energy while he was unconscious.

Upon waking, Jia Ruo was horrified to discover that Ming He had already mastered the Xuan Yin Heart Sutra, regretting his prior carelessness. Ming He explained that each time she used the Blood Venom to alleviate his backlash, her body absorbed a portion of his inner energy, which she used to accelerate her own cultivation. She revealed that by feeding the Blood Venom bug Moon God Flower poison, her cultivation speed had multiplied several times over.

Jia Ruo warned her that the bug would become violent and uncontrollable, risking poison to her heart, but Ming He dismissed his warning, stating her sole focus was to defeat Shu Jingrong and protect the Moon Sect by her own strength. Xiao Yiqing approached Shu Jingrong, asking if his eradication of the Moon Sect, which he implied was intended to avenge Ye Fengsha and Ren Feiyang and satisfy Shi Mingyan's hatred, would finally dissipate her resentment towards him.

Shu Jingrong responded coldly that as his subordinate, she had no right to question his decisions or whereabouts. Xiao Yiqing pressed, asking if she didn't want to know his reasons for the Nanjiang arrangements, but Shu Jingrong firmly reiterated that her duty was to obey, not to inquire.

She then returned the Moon Soul to him, explaining it had been given to her when she suffered from the poison's reaction and that since she was well now, he should take it back. Xue Qingming expressed her concern to Xiao Yiqing, noting his persistent efforts despite his lingering illness and that she knew he was taking medicine to keep himself going.

She warned him that the trip to Nanjiang would be a fierce battle and that his stubborn refusal to rest would put him in grave danger, especially with the "Lovesick Tears" still afflicting him and his inner energy depleted from the battle with Gao Mengfei. Xiao Yiqing acknowledged her worries but stated that in the martial world, one could not always control circumstances. He assured her he had many attachments and would find a way to stay strong.

When she expressed regret for failing to find a cure, he dismissed her efforts, exclaiming, "I'll choose my own death. How does it concern you?" Despite his harshness, Xue Qingming announced her intention to travel far and wide to seek unique herbs that might provide an effective remedy. Xiao Yiqing, affirming she was never bound to Snow Tower, granted her permission. Huang Quan and Zi Mo were both deeply worried about Xiao Yiqing's journey to Nanjiang.

However, Huang Quan reminded Zi Mo that they must uphold their duty to guard Snow Tower at all costs, alleviating their Tower Master's concerns and awaiting his victorious return. Soon, Qing Hui reported to Ming He that Xiao Yiqing and his party had arrived in Nanjiang, suggesting they came fully prepared. Ming He, confirming that Jia Ruo was aware of their arrival but remained inactive, dismissed Qing Hui.

She then declared that this time, Xiao Yiqing would enter Nanjiang alive but would leave in death. Xiao Yiqing met with Nan Chu, who relayed a message arranging a meeting with Jia Ruo at the East side of the lotus pond. Nan Chu advised Xiao Yiqing to rest, but Xiao Yiqing insisted they couldn't delay and asked Nan Chu to accompany him and provide cover.

When Xiao Yiqing met Jia Ruo, he immediately perceived that Jia Ruo's inner energy had not fully recovered. Xiao Yiqing asked if Jia Ruo could still lend him the Moon Spirit in such a state. Jia Ruo responded that it didn't matter as he had already made his decision to appear.

Xiao Yiqing then directly addressed him as either Jia Ruo or Qing Lan, revealing his knowledge of Jia Ruo's recovered memories, which he had deduced after Shu Jingrong removed the golden needle and Xue Qingming confirmed its effect. Xiao Yiqing also assured Jia Ruo that he had covered up the fact of his memory recovery from Ming He, respecting Jia Ruo's reasons for not telling her.

Jia Ruo expressed gratitude, then spoke of Gao Mengfei, recognizing Xiao Yiqing's understanding of his choice to sever ties with Sand Valley by changing his name. Jia Ruo felt that Qing Lan and Qing Yu had both died at Sand Valley, and acknowledged Gao Mengfei's ambitious and competitive spirit, who gambled his life in battle with no regrets, having realized his dreams. Xiao Yiqing then inquired about his mother, Xue Wen. Jia Ruo reassured him, explaining his arrangements.

He revealed a pact with Gu Guang: Gu Guang would safely escort Xue Wen out, and in return, Jia Ruo would save Bing Ling. They agreed that once everything succeeded, Xiao Yiqing would lend Jia Ruo the Moon Soul to complete his collection of the three sacred items, enabling him to shut down the device in the Moon Sect's Grand Hall.

Jia Ruo's final request was to safely remove Ming He from the Moon Sect after their mission, to which Xiao Yiqing agreed. Xiao Yiqing then laid out the plan: Nan Chu would lead Hong Chen and Bi Luo in a frontal assault on the Moon Sect to create a diversion, while he would enter from another path. As planned, Gu Guang arrived at the Red Lotus Prison to rescue Xue Wen and Bing Ling.

Bing Ling expressed concern that Ming He's discovery would lead to Gu Guang's execution, but Gu Guang assured her that Jia Ruo would protect them and urged them to move quickly, as Xiao Yiqing was waiting at the foot of the mountain. Ming He, discovering Jia Ruo's alliance and Gu Guang's betrayal, ambushed them.

Hong Chen and Bi Luo led the Snow Tower forces in a fierce frontal attack, while Nan Chu arrived just in time to assist Gu Guang in rescuing Xue Wen and Bing Ling. Nan Chu then directed Hong Chen and Bi Luo to continue their fight while he personally escorted Xue Wen to safety, introducing himself as the Lord of Snow Tower.

Ming He finally confronted Jia Ruo, accusing him of forcing her hand and revealing that Qing Hui had reported their meeting. She also stated her awareness of his discovery of the Holy Lake's secret. Jia Ruo confronted her about the Moon God Flower poison leaking into Nanjiang and poisoning innocent people, warning that losing the people's hearts would destroy the Moon Sect's foundation.

Ming He ruthlessly dismissed his concerns, declaring she did not care about the ignorant people and would not let Snow Tower humiliate the Moon Sect, even if all of Nanjiang was poisoned. She then revealed she knew of his alliance with Xiao Yiqing to stop the leakage and facilitate an attack on the Moon Sect, coldly stating that he would not achieve his desires.

Filled with rage, Ming He confronted Jia Ruo about his desire to bless Shu Jingrong, threatening to destroy everything. As Jia Ruo drew Qing Lan's "Farewell Sword" to fight her, Ming He claimed that her Blood Venom had neutralized his power, stating that if she couldn't have what she wanted, no one else would either. She then ordered her guards to imprison the High Priest.
