> Listening Snow Tower Recap

Hua Lian receives a report that all her men sent to assassinate the Crown Prince were eliminated, acknowledging that Bai Di's disciple is indeed competent. She is informed that Snow Tower is no longer as powerful as it once was, but Xiao Yiqing has returned to Luoyang with his own forces, intending to restore its glory.

His particular concern for the Crown Prince and his company, especially with Sand Valley’s protection, means Moon Sect’s future operations must be meticulously planned without any errors. Hua Lian, confident that everything is under her control, vows to make them pay. She then consults her Left Guardian, Gu Guang, about establishing a High Priest for the Moon Sect.

Gu Guang, in a flattering manner, praises Hua Lian’s selfless devotion to the sect and asserts that she is the only rightful candidate to serve as the Adjunct High Priest. Hua Lian, pleased, then tasks Gu Guang with thoroughly investigating the whereabouts of King Zhen Nan’s Crown Prince. Xiao Yiqing visits his father, Xiao Shishui, in the Heavenly Arsenal Hall.

Xiao Shishui entrusts Xiao Yiqing with the key to a secret cabinet, strictly cautioning him not to open the books inside unless it is absolutely desperate. Xiao Yiqing recognizes these as the secret manuals his mother, Xue Wen, brought from the Moon Sect. Xiao Shishui recounts his past with Xue Wen, how they fell in love and he took her away from the Moon Sect, leading to years of constant pursuit and wandering.

In a flashback, a young Xiao Yiqing promises to learn martial arts to protect his mother like his father. Xue Wen then decides to return to the Moon Sect to end the cycle of pursuit and bring peace to her husband and son, entrusting Xiao Yiqing to his father. Xiao Shishui sighs, explaining that Xue Wen, though Hua Lian's junior and the Moon Sect's Star Reader, faced even greater cruelty from Hua Lian.

He laments his inability to rescue her from the Moon Palace, even after establishing Snow Tower and joining forces with powerful figures like Blood Demon, Bai Di, and Xue Gu. Xiao Yiqing listens, deeply moved by his parents' story. Emerging from the hall, Xiao Yiqing finds Shu Jingrong waiting with medicine. She explains that Doctor Mo requested he take the medicine on time.

Xiao Yiqing, feigning indifference, tells her his illness is not new and that she doesn’t need to trouble herself. Shu Jingrong reminds him of his past kindness when he risked his health to stay with her during her parents' wake. She explains that she is now taking care of him to repay his past act of enduring pain to accompany her.

After Xiao Yiqing thanks her, she observes his cold hands, to which he replies that he’s grown accustomed to it. Elsewhere, Huang Quan unexpectedly encounters Zi Mo, drawing his blade. Zi Mo, unfazed, acknowledges his past revenge against the Qian family, where he killed seventeen male descendants but spared the elderly, weak, and sick, and later even provided them with financial aid. She questions whether his actions were purely out of malice or contained an element of compassion.

Huang Quan angrily retorts that the Qian family had historically oppressed common folk and killed his beloved old horse, so he acted as an agent of justice by eliminating those who deserved death. However, he clarifies that he spared the innocent family members. After his explanation, Huang Quan prepares for a fight, but Zi Mo declines, urging him to leave as if their meeting never happened. She tells him that someday, he will understand the true meaning of justice.

In Sand Valley, Qing Lan guides Lady Ye Huo and the Crown Prince, instructing them to cover their eyes. He explains that ancient Sand Valley rules forbid entry to outsiders unless blindfolded, even if invited. Lady Ye Huo, after a moment of hesitation, complies. Meanwhile, Mai Qiancheng is held captive. Xiao Shishui confronts him, demanding to know the reason for his betrayal.

Mai Qiancheng, seething with anger, claims that despite his loyal service to Snow Tower, he received no recognition or benefits. He reveals his intention to conspire with the Moon Sect to prove to the world that he could be a hero as great as Xiao Shishui himself. Xiao Shishui, visibly ill, coughs up blood. Seeing his master's weakened state, Mai Qiancheng seizes the opportunity to attack, incapacitating Xiao Shishui before escaping.

Unbeknownst to Mai Qiancheng, the person he assaulted was merely a decoy. Later, Xiao Yiqing explains to Shu Jingrong that Snow Tower would have eliminated Mai Qiancheng's Tian Li Assembly regardless of his betrayal. His current strategy is to strike them when they are unprepared. Shu Jingrong speculates that the forces behind Tian Li Assembly must be more complex than imagined, as Mai Qiancheng alone could not have amassed such power against Snow Tower in a few years.

Xiao Yiqing reveals that the Moon Sect is the true mastermind, and Mai Qiancheng's betrayal simply provided Snow Tower with a justified reason to act. Shu Jingrong questions why he shares such sensitive information with her, and he asks if she believes he should not trust her. He further explains that his current deception is meant to sow doubt among the Moon Sect leadership. Shu Jingrong, whose parents died because of the Moon Sect, insists on being involved.

She reminds him not to overexert his inner energy due to his Jue Yin Disease and offers to handle a secret sentry for him, though he declines, calling her "Lady Jing." Xiao Yiqing anticipates Mai Qiancheng, desperate for success, will rush to take control of Tian Li Assembly, only to face a fate worse than death.

Reflecting on his father's past advice to abandon hatred and live peacefully, Xiao Yiqing acknowledges that as the Young Master of Snow Tower, he is bound to the pugilistic world's bloodshed and must walk his path alone. Shu Jingrong observes his Shadow Sun Saber, noting its empathy with him and assuring him he won't be lonely, to which Xiao Yiqing agrees, stating it will protect him and those he wishes to protect.

In Sand Valley, Lady Ye Huo asks Bai Di if he can expel the voodoo from the Crown Prince. Bai Di confirms the rare and complicated nature of the venom, noting it doesn't appear to be Hua Lian's doing. Qing Lan mentions that Qing Yu's mission to impersonate the Crown Prince is complete and asks if he should return.

Bai Di instructs Qing Yu to stay in Luoyang for a few more days and return with Qing Ming after she visits her parents' grave. Qing Lan points out that since the Moon Sect attacked the "fake" Crown Prince, they likely know about the deception, which complicates keeping the real Crown Prince's condition a secret from King Zhen Nan. Lady Ye Huo then suggests transferring the venom into her own body to save the Crown Prince.

Qing Lan vehemently objects, calling it a life-for-a-life exchange and warning that it would severely deplete Bai Di's inner energy. Lady Ye Huo, however, maintains that it is the only viable solution. Chi Xiaotai, assigned to protect the Crown Prince, is bored in the residence. She asks to go out, but Qing Yu, still disguised as the Crown Prince, refuses, citing safety concerns and the need to maintain his noble status.

When a servant reports a missing golden necklace, Chi Xiaotai, suspecting Qing Yu, accuses him of stealing, which he playfully calls "borrowing." She challenges his seriousness, reminding him that Snow Tower entrusted her with his protection. During her duties, Chi Xiaotai accidentally sees Qing Yu meeting Shu Jingrong, which leads her to realize he is an impostor. Furious, she demands his true identity, accusing him of repeatedly lying and bullying her.

Qing Yu reveals himself as Qing Yu, Bai Di's disciple, also tasked with protecting the Crown Prince. Chi Xiaotai, enraged, calls him a "shrew" and vows to teach him a lesson on behalf of Mister Bai. Meanwhile, members of the Moon Sect secretly activate a mechanism to infiltrate Sand Valley.

They remark that the valley's traps are not particularly special and acknowledge that without the Silver Moon Powder obtained from the bamboo forest, they would not have been able to navigate the hazardous traps and reach their destination.
