Ye Fengsha bid farewell to Bi Luo, her senior martial brother, who told her he had an important unfinished matter concerning Xiao Yin in his heart. He intended to go to Flower Palace to visit Xiao Yin's grave, pay his respects, and play a song for her on her upcoming birthday in two weeks. He explained that he had allowed Flower Palace to take Xiao Yin's body initially to avoid further conflict that might harm her remains.
He urged Ye Fengsha to take good care of herself, mentioning her recklessness and how he often had to clean up her messes. Shu Jingrong, overhearing their conversation, was reminded of her own senior martial brother, Qing Lan, and felt a profound sense of loss. Shu Jingrong reported Bi Luo's intentions to Xiao Yiqing, suggesting that if Snow Tower succeeded in its attack on Flower Palace, there might still be a chance for Bi Luo to join them.
Xiao Yiqing then pulled Shu Jingrong into a tight embrace, apologizing for his earlier anger and for wasting the Feathered Snow Lotus she had painstakingly retrieved. As Shu Jingrong gradually stopped struggling, Xiao Yiqing confessed his fear of seeing her endanger herself for him. He explained that the constant pain of the Lovesick Tears only made him realize more profoundly that she was the one true love of his life, and he would choose her over a cure.
Shu Jingrong admitted she had already understood he didn't kill Lei Chuyun, but was angry that he concealed things from her. She questioned if he was still hiding anything, and though the image of Jia Ruo flashed through his mind, Xiao Yiqing replied that he was not. He promised to hide nothing from her as long as she did not act willfully. Meanwhile, Gao Huan prepared for the mission to attack Flower Palace.
Ye Fengsha, worried for his safety, gave him a personally embroidered purse. The two also made a pact to leave the pugilistic world and roam freely together once the mission was accomplished. Separately, Shi Mingyan recalled a conversation with Jia Ruo, who had informed her that Yi Hong Brothel was a secret base for Storm League.
Jia Ruo revealed that Qiu Huyu held meetings there every eighth day of the month at dusk, and suggested that if Shi Mingyan created a disturbance on that day, Snow Tower would surely intervene, allowing them to capture Qiu Huyu and his men. Shi Mingyan conveyed this intelligence to Xiao Yiqing, but he expressed reluctance for her to put herself at risk, fearing it might be a trap.
When Shi Mingyan knelt down, vowing not to rise until he agreed, Shu Jingrong stepped in. She proposed that they could investigate Yi Hong Brothel that very night, splitting into two teams for a coordinated effort, with their primary goal being reconnaissance. She also suggested sending men to secretly protect Shi Mingyan. Ye Fengsha offered her assistance as well. Gao Mengfei, alongside Chi Xiaotai, was tasked with leading the assault on Flower Palace.
He was reviewing their strategy, suggesting an improved method to break the "Flower Thorn Formation," which would necessitate the sacrifice of one person for each section of the formation. Chi Xiaotai deemed this self-sacrificing approach unacceptable, arguing that Xiao Yiqing would never allow such a method. However, Gao Mengfei insisted that the mission was under his authority and that Snow Tower valued results, making a few sacrifices worthwhile.
Eager to prove himself, Gao Mengfei unilaterally altered the battle plan, deciding to split their forces to launch a surprise attack on Flower Palace by taking a shortcut through the mountains. However, Ming He was already prepared, having been informed of Snow Tower's movements by her spies. She set up an ambush along their path, capturing Chi Xiaotai, while the lack of communication meant that Snow Tower reinforcements, unaware of the changed route, could not arrive in time.
In a separate maneuver, Ming He also arranged for Qiu Huyu to attend a meeting at Yi Hong Brothel under the guise of a wealthy Northern businessman, aiming to use this opportunity to trap him. As Shi Mingyan and others created a commotion at Yi Hong Brothel, Xiao Yiqing received news of Chi Xiaotai's ambush. He immediately rushed to her aid, entrusting Shu Jingrong with handling the situation at Yi Hong Brothel and dealing with Storm League.
During the confrontation, Shi Mingyan and Ye Fengsha were surprised to discover Ren Feiyang, now allied with Storm League. Ye Fengsha defeated Ren Feiyang but chose to let him escape. She then informed Shu Jingrong that Ren Feiyang was still alive. Shu Jingrong then engaged Qiu Huyu in battle and captured him for Snow Tower. Xiao Yiqing arrived at the ambush site to rescue Chi Xiaotai. He confronted Ming He, demanding Chi Xiaotai's release.
Surprisingly, Ming He allowed Chi Xiaotai to leave with Xiao Yiqing. Chi Xiaotai, however, fell unconscious upon returning to Snow Tower. Doctor Mo quickly diagnosed her with Moon Sect's Blood Venom, warning that she had only hours left if an antidote was not administered. Shortly after, Ming He arrived at Snow Tower, demanding the release of Qiu Huyu in exchange for Chi Xiaotai's antidote.
She threatened to let Chi Xiaotai die a painful death and also warned that another prisoner in Moon Sect's Hong Lian Prison would perish if she was not allowed to leave safely. Shi Mingyan argued that the situation was Gao Mengfei and Chi Xiaotai's responsibility and opposed the release of Qiu Huyu, vowing to recapture him for Snow Tower in the future if he were released.
Shu Jingrong also fiercely opposed the exchange, citing Snow Tower's strict rules and the considerable effort expended to capture Qiu Huyu. However, Gao Mengfei pressured Xiao Yiqing, reminding him of Xue Gu's dying wish to protect Chi Xiaotai, leaving Xiao Yiqing in a grave dilemma.
